Bunnies

Hey Quixotic-ers!! How has your week been so far?! Half way to the weekend.. I know I cannot wait. Have had very arduous shifts at work and I'm just drained!!

I'm having a little Copic issue at the moment *rolls eyes* it's the first time I've ever had them run out on me.. like properly.. with no back up.. and I feel so LOST. So for this post.. I had to turn to a little PAPER PIECING. Always run, right?

I used a new clear stamp set from TGF January release, some patterned paper from My Minds Eye and Memento Ink.. easy peasy. I really love how they turned out, and they were SUPER quick. If you wanted you could get a little production line going and get a load made in one go.

The starting point of these cards was The Greeting Farm - Clear Stamp Set Lucky Bunnies. How could you know love these guys?! I stamped them and the sentiments in Memento - Rich Cocoa
ink and paper pieced their bodies using some neutral paper and their ears and bellies using more colourful paper from the My Minds Eye - Rosy collection. This is brilliant for using up scraps, which is fab for a frugal crafter like me. I like to get good use out of everything!! LOL.

That's all from me today! :)

Wedding Cameo

Just another wedding card! LOL!! Purple and cream. Of course. Thought I'd get this uploaded to my blog before the picture gets lost in the mess of folders on my laptop. Really need to get that sorted out. Yuck.

Pretty simple card. I think? LOL!! A combination of LOTV, Waltzingmouse and PTI stamps. Frayed Burlap DI, Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum ink.

I embossed the top of the lilac cardstock with the Square Lattice EF from SU! to add a little more interest.

That about covers that then.

Work all day. Darts all night. Equates to a dead Lou. Gosh. Roll on the weekend. Again.

Warm it UP!!

HAPPY MONDAY!!

Back to work after a lovely weekend off. Managed to get ahead with a few bits of DT work, and got a few orders finished up. The list is never ending though, keeps me busy!! Got two long days at work and darts on Tuesday night.. so I'll probably be pooped come Wednesday!! LOL! Work aside..

Time for a new challenge over at Pollycraft today. Thank you to everyone who joined in last week, it is a real pleasure looking through all of the entries.. especially the crafters who take the time out to use Pollycraft images. :)

This week we have a new challenge which has been set by our lovely Mary J.. we want to see you

WARM IT UP

There are still a lot of winter/ Christmas creations bobbing around blogland, including posts on my blog.. so we want you to warm things up for us. Interpret this any which way you like.. I've decided the make a spring time card using some papers I just can't tear myself away from right now. My Minds Eye - Breeze. Wow.

I've stamped my white linen card base with some button stamps from SU! in Bashful Blue and Sage Shadow as it was looking a little empty. I used some scraps of paper and made a base panel to which I adhered everything to. I used some bakers twine and super jumbo ric rac from The Ribbon Girl as well as a mix of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.. but what's new?!

I cut Sonny Honeycloud out using a Labels Four die and sponged a sky background. I've coloured Sonny using Copics and ProMarkers. Love the flowers in her hair and those little butterflies. Too cute.

Spring Has Sprung. Well.. it'll be on it's way soon. I'm sure of it!! :)

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - Die Cuts
Stampin' With the Dragon - Anything Goes

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papercuts - White Linen
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye - Breeze
Stamps: Studio G - Alpha; Pollycraft - Sonny Honeycloud Butterflies
Ink: SU! - Bashful Blue, Sage Shadow, Crushed Curry
Misc: brown fineliner

Big squeezes.

Mam

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY.. TO.. MRS MAC. Mother Goose.

:) Love every bit of that woman. Thought I'd share the birthday card I made for her.. on her birthday. I ain't gonna tell you how old she is today, because if she ever found out that I'd shared that information.. my life wouldn't be worth living. :)

I followed the colour challenge over at the Sugar Nellies FB Group.

Blue, Green and White.

Some papers I received from the lovely Tammy went perfectly with this. I think they were from Prima. Pixie Glen. Gorgeous. I didn't want to cut into them, but I can't hoard something someone has kindly given me.. gotta get them used up! I also used a slice of the white seam binding she had used to tie the lovely papers together. Nothing like a bit of frugalness.

I stamped the card base with a flower stamp from SU! in Sage Shadow and Bashful Blue to help break up the white. I doodled the edges of my patterned paper, but left the distressing out.. I thought it would be a bit harsh against the pastel colours.

What else? I used a new (to me) stamp from Whimsy stampedi n Sage Shadow onto Kraft and circled the date and added the month with a brown fineliner. I then punched that out and adhered it to the card using dimensionals. I seen a little bit of left over doily lying around on my desk, so that got snaffled up and added to the card along the side of the blue patterned paper.

I don't think I ever have.. or ever will use a whole doily on a card.. they're just too big for my designs. Plus.. cutting them up makes them go a little further! :) Uhh.. what else?! A few little Wild Orchid Craft goodies here and there in the form of some ickle roses and ickle pearl brads.

I then filled in some of the area using my white Liquid Pearls in little groups of three. My style.

You guys know who this little character is, right? It's only a Simply Sassy - My Friend Kitty. Love her. She is one of the first ever Sassys I bought. Don't you wanna chub that face?! I know I do. Love her hair too. Just love her. Thought she'd be perfect for my mams birthday card. She loves cats, and this image is so happy and smiley.

Here is a shot of the inside. I used a sentiment from PTI stamped in Blue Bayou ink and cut using the Decorative Labels punch. I then doodled the edges of the rest of the blue patterned paper and adhered it at a wonky angle. :) Job done. I plan on writing my message on a little post it and putting it inside the card so my awful handwriting won't spoil the inside. This is what I generally do when I'm sending a card. :) That way it could be reused if the recepient chooses!!

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:

× I LOVE ProMarkers - #100 Anything Goes

HB Mummy

Happy Friday!! :) I'm pre-scheduling (if that's even a word?) this post, so I'll keep it short and sweet. Getting up to anything exciting this weekend?! I have no plans as of yet.. but I fancy a walk somewhere. Get some colour in my cheeks. :)

Anywho, thought I'd share another commission with you guys today. I was hoping to have at least a post a day this year, keep you all entertained and wanting to return and stuff. Want to get my comments up this year. Show me some love, please!! Check me, begging!! LOL.

Request - purple and floral. I decided to make this a shaped card - a little more special and all that, although by using my nesties is doesn't leave a whole lot of 'card' space to play with. Never the less I manage to fit everything on, and it doesn't look too squidged together. Does it?!

The gorgeous swirly thingy, is a piece of MiC Chipboard. LOVE how delicate and intricate these pieces are! I found a whole bunch I'd forgotten about the other day. These, gears and dragonflies, oh and some Christmas ornaments and stuff!! Don't you love that?! :) Finding stuff you'd forgotten about, I mean.

I tried to colour it using some Milled Lavender DI, but the chipboard was totally drinking it. It has a slightly purple hue, but I think it still matches the card pretty well. I've pieced the sentiment together using some Jenni Bowlin alpha stickers, a PTI stamp and some letters I cut using my Slice. Love that little machine. :)

So much for keeping this short and sweet!! LOL!!

Hope you enjoy your weekend. Blink and you'll miss it mind! Isn't that always the case?! The week totally drags and then the weekend fly by in a flash. Mad. Who's up for a three day weekend?! I'll be back tomorrow with my Mams birthday card. It is her birthday after all. :)
