Christmas Crunch Sunday

*!!HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!*
..and for those of you who don't have a Mam to celebrate today with, a big hug goes out to you all.

I am actually posting this on a Sunday too!! First time in a couple of weeks. Sorry I have been slacking lately, I've had loads of uni deadlines and not much time to myself for crafting. *blush*

Here is a pretty simple card I made following a sketch from I forget where. I wanted the focus to be on my paper pieced image. This is Beanie Anya from The Greeting Farm - I used her on last weeks card too, which can be seen HERE. Shes such a cutie and PERFECT for Christmas cards.

I have used patterned papers from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses collection - I really love that paper pad, I plan on using it all up on my Christmas cards for this year to make way for some new stuff! I have used a Labels Four nestie for the Paper Makeup stamp.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× For Fun Challenges - Christmas is HERE!!
× CCEE Stampers - No buttons, bows, brads or buckles

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have found some time to be crafty this weekend! :)

Mother's Day Cards

I'll keep this post short, I just want to share the rest of the Mother's Day cards I have made for tomorrow. I have sold a few of them to people who seen them over on my Facebook page. I'm really chuffed that I'm getting my cards out there and that people actually like them. Anyway, short post. On to the cards..

Thanks for looking. I hope all you Mams out there have a lovely day tomorrow! xo

Heartfelt Thanks

I went a bit crazy with my new PTI sets on this one! LOL. I used Mat Stack 3 stamp set and Star Prints. I had to make do with what I had in terms of not having the coordinating die for the Mat Stack 3 stamp set - but that is on its way now! :) I think the Mat Stack stamp looks a bit flat on the cardbase - perhaps I should have stamped it in black?! Anywho, too late now. Enjoy..

I used SU! Melon Mambo cardstock and ink for the majority of the card. For not being a 'pink' person, this card is very.. PINK!! LOL. That 'spikey circle'(?!) die cut is another die the Limitless Layers die set from PTI, they can be found -->HERE<--. I added some tiny stars from the Star Prints stamp set in Memento London Fog ink, and stamped my sentiment using Tuxedo Black.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× RES-Q-76 - Use your corner rounder - I LOVE my WRMK - Corner Chomper. I use it on almost every project!!
× Paper Romance Challenge 44 - Bling
× Paper Pretties Wednesday - Bring on the Bling
× YNS Challenge #39 - Stitching

I hope you find some time to craft this weekend, thanks for stopping by.
xo Lou.

Just a Note..

I have been going through the pictures of my cards this morning (I really need to get them sorted..) and come across this little mini 4" square card I made a while back and forgot to post. Poor card!!

WARNING: This may be one of numerous posts today - I need to get these cards uploaded while I have time! :)

I tried to create multiple layers on this card - I think it worked. First off I started with a tag shape I cut with my Slice and embossed using a EF. I then die cut a 'spikey circle'(?!) using a PTI die, added a Jillibean Soup brown journalling spot and then my embossed senitment panel over the top.

I added a few blue Prima pearls here and there as well as a brad from a MME Lush collection to hold the SU! Bashful Blue ribbon in place atop the tag.

The kraft cardstock has been stamped around the edges using a stamp from SU! Vintage Vogue in Crumb Cake ink. This has got the be my fave stamp out of the set - so much you can do with it! I have distressed the edges of the kraft cardstock using a Tonic paper distresser and added some faux stitching with a white gel pen around the edges of the cardbase and the tag.

One of PTI's releases last month consisted of Angular Labels and Rectangular Labels Dies with a co-ordinating stamp set. They can all be found -->HERE<-- They are so perfect, and I was so tempted, but I went with Tiny Tags stamp set and die. I couldn't resist!

So instead, I tried to make my own sort of labels simply using a punch and a a fineliner. I like how it turned out but I would prefer the stamp set and die! LOL. Maybe this month.. heehee.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Card Makin' Mamas - Challenge 18 - Embellishment It
× Frosted Designs - Use Bling

× OLC 59 - Colour Challenge
× Stamping Vacation - Pick 3; a circle, dry embossing, a sentiment

× Dutch Dare Cards - Distressing

Thanks for stopping by, I have another few cards to post today! :) xo

What A Day..

..I've had.

MASSIVE uni deadline (although not as big as the deadline on 5th May.. shhh). We had the opporunity to hand in a whole chapter of our dissertation to be draft marked!! I could NOT pass up on that. So I have been working my butt off to get my results finished and part of my discussion started. I should hear back from my tutor early next week. Fingers crossed I'm on the right track.

After the super long day I've had I thought I would treat myself to a bit of Window Shopping! xD Considering I haven't got the money to buy anything.. I still need to have a look at all the brand new stuff, and some older product, out there - just so I get a feeling of what I could get! LOL.

First up are some Simply Sassy stamps from Funky Kits, I ordered two of these amazing stamps last month, I have already inked one up, High School Student, which can be seen -->HERE<--. I LOVED colouring her, and she sorta reminds me, of me. Not that I have my own lunchbox, I wish I had enough hands to carry one. I really love Bella Bunting, Hippy Love and Windswept. They've defo been added to my wish list! *big grin* Gotta love a bit of rubbah.

Next up, are some goodies which are available from Quixotic Paperie. I cannot recommend them highly enough - they provide an excellent service, and super products and great prices. I first got THIS die when I bought the Holiday Ticket Sentiments from Whimsy Stamps, they have since released a load of stamp sets which co-ordinate perfectly, next on my wish list is THIS stamp set called Treasured Moments Tickets Sentiments Set. They are the perfect size for cardmakers and have the sweetest sentiments. Next up from Whimsy is the new Calendar Background Stamp - perfect for Birthday cards or mini albums/ scrapbook pages. Or even.. a calendar! LOL. Quixotic Paperie has a huge selection of Kenny K stamps - which I'm a huge fan of after I coloured this beauty up -->HERE<--. I'm really liking Club Kid and Movie Star. I already have my two FAVE Kenny K images - Download Diva and Troublemaker.

A stamp company which has interested me for a while is Stempelglede. THIS set caught my eye while I was browsing Quixotic earlier. Gorgeously gorgeous sentiments, which are different from the usual 'Happy Birthday' sentiments.

Moving away from staaaamps.. many of you may know I've been on a patterned paper ban *boooo* due to the fact I just have waaaaay more than I can use. My stash has gradually been decreasing, but my next aim is to use up one whole paper pack. I think that will generate a real feel good factor! :)
So.. I NEED all of these paper packs seen HERE. As well as Basic Grey's Life of The Party and Echo Park's For the Record. Aaadorable!! I've heard in a few places that Echo Park are going to be coming out with 6x6 paper pads - cannot wait!!

Every time I surf the web for craft-y goodness I see stuff that I really really want. I often find myself asking the question.. 'Why do I have such an expensive hobby?!' LOL. I sometimes wish I would make a note of all the stuff I see. Perhaps I should keep a notepad near my laptop whenever I hop around blog land!!

I'm going to sign off now and check out a few mini album tutorials over on YT. Once I graduate a mini album is top of my crafting list! Heehee.

Oh, I have a quick link to share with you.. http://www.craftstamper.com/ezine/ the free Craft Stamper mag.. online. Yeehaa.

Over & Out. xo
