Water, Water, Everywhere

Good morning guys, this is my second post for the day, if you're looking for the next installment of the School Pinkettes release then wait no longer, both posts are scheduled to go live at the same time!!

Today over at Pollycraft we've a challenge set by our very lovely Mary J.

Water, water, everywhere!!

Such a fun idea, and over at the Pollycraft Shop, there are plenty of images which fit this theme! :) Head over and pick a few up. Too cute to pass up.

Today I've used Chesters Bubbles - I'm in love with this guy! Would love to see more of this character. The images are cute enough for any card, but depending on how you colour them up they rock male cards too!! Who wouldn't want a cheeky little monkey on their birthday, right? :)

I've coloured this cutie up using ProMarkers, and you may be surprised to hear I've a supplies list coming up at the end if you're interested in the colours I used. :) I've fussy cut him out, as best I could to keep all of those bubbles included and adhered him to the card using dimensionals.

I've followed a sketch from Deconstructing Jen using papers from My Minds Eye Hattie collection (which seems to be REALLY hard to get hold of now.. or is that just me?!). Gorgeous blues and mustards together! :) I've added Diamond Stickles to all of the bubbles to make them stand out and taken some nicks from the top corners of my design to add a little more interest. Looking back I probably would have based this on some patterned paper instead of the plain white cardstock, but hindsight is a wonderful thing!!

The lush silk ribbon is a scrap I had from something a Christmas present was wrapped up in, reusing stuff is one of my fave things to do. I hate waste and chucking out stuff that can be kept and used in the future. This little slice was peeking out at me from my draw so I had to use it up. Love the bows silk ribbon creates, so soft and pretty.
