Yo' Fave Combo at Passion for ProMarkers

I've been waiting for this challenge to go live over at Passion for ProMarkers for AY-JEZ!! One of my most favourite things ever is colour combos. Especially favourite colour combos, and that's just what we've got for ya today!! ;) We wanna see your..

FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBO

This extraordinary challenge was set by our lovely Coops. She knows how to get us excited! :)

You guys might be thinking I'ma hit you with a blue and brown combo. Well let me break it to ya.. YOU'D BE WRONG! Nuh uhh. Three of my favourite colours to work with when it comes to ProMarkers are Orange, Lime Green, and Turquoise. Take a little scroll back through my blog and you'll see it popping up time and time again! ;) Trust.

SO!! I had to go for it. I decided to colour up the adorable? cheeky? chic? Geeky!! GEEKY!! Geeky Mae from Some Odd Girl. I ain't gonna lie, I wanted her to look a little like me. So brown hair and blue eyes it was. Of course, dressed in my favourite colours. Heh.

I took this as an opportunity to practice my creases, as she has a few in her t-shirt and leg warmers, or are they boots? Anywho. I know I've got a loooong waaay to go yet, but I'm getting there. Each and every time I'm a little bit happier with how my images turn out! :)

So I sorta coloured her up to match papers from a PaperMania pack called.. lemme think.. Happy Days. I bought it a while a go and this is the first time I've used it. Bad Lou!! I know. Love the bottle caps and the graphic prints. Soo cool. Good job you get three sheets of each design. LOL!

I die cut some flowers from the grey chevron paper with a PTI die and misted them with some.. wait for it.. Aegean Sea mist. I KNOW!! I then added a green and orange brad to the two smaller flowers and dotted some liquid pearls here and there. Again, in a diagonal pattern.. that's like the fourth card now. Is this turning into some sorta rut?! Anywho. I stamped a Whimsy Postmark sentiment onto Pool Party ink from SU! and die cut it using the smallest pinking circle.

This was the effort from a late night/ early morning (depending on how you look at it) session on Saturday night. Heh. I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd stay up and colour.

Some of you who have me on FB may have already seen that photo.. and if you've visited me earlier this morning you'll have seen Wryn on her very own card!!

That's all I got for ya today. I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Glitter and Sparkle - Sentimental
- The Squirrel and the Fox - Anything Goes
- CMC Copic Challenge - Fave Colour Combo

Over and OUT. Be sure to stop by the Passion for ProMarkers blog and see which colours us colour addicts like to throw together! xo

Tiddly Inks Got some WINGS!

Morning, morning. I hope by the time this post goes lives I'll have had a good nights sleep. The weather has been just crap here lately. Everyone banging on about getting loads of snow. Bloody tosh. We've had nothing but wind and rain for two days straight.

All of that boring stuff aside.. we've a new challenge for ya over at Tiddly Inks! ;) Uh huh.

WINGS

Here's what I came up with using one of my old time faves. Wryn - Close to my Heart. How cute?! I take so much pleasure in colouring those wings up. They may look simple, and that's because they are, but it's so theraputic. Okay, I'ma stop talking and just show you the pic.. heh.

I'ma keep this short because I'm a tired little kitten. I've used some more papers from My Minds Eye. If you haven't guessed already, I think turquoise and red are my Valentines colours this year. I coloured Wryn up to match and printed the sentiment out to go with her. I've die cut the sentiment using an X-Cut die and added some Doodlebug brads to either side. I've added some gemstones and liquid pearls in.. you guessed it.. a diagonal. Mental. I know.

Thanks for stopping by. Pop over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and join in! xo

No Flowers Allowed at LLLC

Here's another late post from me! Sorry guys. I'ma try and catch up now I actually have a working Blogger.

So yesterday we posted some new Friday Inspiration over at La-La Land Crafts Blog.

NO FLOWERS

Now, I know what you're thinking!! Some of the ladies almost died too, but trust me. It isn't that scary! ;)

I decided to use the new Ring Bearer Luka.

I also used two dies: String of Hearts Border Die and Bird Cage Die.

I decided to fill most of the space with IMAGE. A lot of the ladies decided to fill the spaces they'd normally fill with flowers with large die cuts and sentiments. It all worked out very well!! I've used very subtle colours, mint greens and greys, from First Editions Isabelle collection.

How perfect is that sentiment?! I love it! :)

Head over to the Inspiration Blog now and see what other non floral creations the ladies have got for ya! xo

It's Friday at Tiddly Inks

Hey guys! It's finally Friday. Thank goodness.

Sorry this post is going up WAAAAY late. Blogger has been a pain in the butt this past week. I'm now onto my third browser. This time I'm trying out Chrome. What have I been missing?! I KNOW!!

The temperature has severely dropped here this past week, and walking over to work at 7:45 in the morning is making me shrivel.. and shiver. Plus my hands feel like leather. Meh, that's a story for a different day. So instead I'ma hibernate this weekend and try and get some cards made with my very sore fingers.

It's time for some inspiration over at Tiddly Inks and this week I decided to colour up the adorable Anna Belle. She has been newly released over at the Tiddly Inks Store, so you can grab her now.

She has been coloured with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers, and let me tell ya, my teamies coloured up those balloons SO much better than me. In fact, I'm a little embarrassed to show this! LOL

I've used a mixture of papers from Echo Park, My Minds Eye and Sassafras. I've also used a C.C Designs die to create my little wooden fence. I have then used a SU! roller wheel to create the woodgrain pattern on the kraft cardstock. The sentiment is a Whimsy Stamps postmark stamp which I have layered on top of a labels 16 die and a pinking circle. I've added some gem stones and pearls on a diagonal to guide the eye over the pretty.. plain.. card from me.

Head over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog NOW and have a gander at the other teamies awesome creations.

I'm off to make a little To Do List and watch the snow out of the window. :) xo

Peach and Blue Combo at Passion for ProMarkers

** This is my second post of the day, please scroll down for some Tiddly Inks goodness! **

It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers today.

PEACH and BLUE

Which was chosen by our lovely Shelly! :) Good on you girl, for getting me out of my comfort zone and leaving those brighter colours behind, even if it was just for a little while! ;)

This weeks sponser is Lili of the Valley. The lucky winner will receive a £10 voucher. Ohhh!! Laavly new rubber. There's a few I've got my eye on, but I'm being a good crafter and tryna get rid of stash before I buy anymore. Hah! I can sense you smirking!

Visit our website

So, here's what I came up with using a LOTV treasure that is already in my stash. I'm ashamed to say that this is the first time I've inked this couple up. Oops!! Definitely a must for Valentines though! ;)

How cute are they?! Too cute mann!! I coloured them up in lighter shades than usual, it almost killed me - but I really like it! I especially love her hat! :)

I've used a mash up of Whimsy Stamps and Lawn Fawn Harolds ABCs alphas, all stamped in Calypso Coral ink from SU!

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with using this colour combo. Head over to the Passion for Promarkers blog and join in. xo

Anything Goes at Tiddly Inks

We're gonna get the start of the year off to a very easy and carefree start over at Tiddly Inks this time round with our new challenge.

ANYTHING GOES

Uh huh. As long as you use a Tiddly Inks image you can create whatever you wish! :) Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I've used one of the new images Christy released on the 3rd Jan. See THIS post for a little peak at the others. They're being released in acrylic, which opens up a whole new door to your crafting.

This is Wryn Happy Mail.

I've coloured her up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye. I've layered my design up ontop of some Blush layering paper from Hero Arts (love that stuff) which I've embossed using a diamond lattice folder.

The cute little circle sentiment is from a Whimsy set and I've stamped it ontop a pinking circle in SU! Melon Mambo ink. Hmm.. a bunch of punched butterflies, some pretty pink buttons threaded with yellow bakers twine, some pink matt brads and some ickle liquid pearls finish this off.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Lexi's Creations - Anything Goes
- Make It Monday - Anything Goes
- Oh La La Creations - Happy Birthday
- Whoopsi Daisy - Die cuts and punches

Please head over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog now and join in with us! xo

Puppy Tobie

I can't get enough of this little fella. He is a treat to colour up and perfect for all sorts of male cards! :) This was another commission from late last year for a little Matthew who was two. I made his first birthday card too, so I hope this is gonna be an ongoing thing. He'll have a whole scrapbook worth of cards by the time he's 18! LMAO! :)

I've coloured Tobie up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye. I've layered up some brown parcel paper, scalloped borders and punched labels above and below the picture. I wanted to keep the main image panel longer at the bottom to make room for the sentiment - it kinda looks like a polaroid? frame, me thinks. :) That's what I was going for anyway, shhh!! :P

I've stamped both Matthew and Happy Birthday using an alpha set from Lawn Fawn. Matthew has been cut using an X-Cut die and I've added More Mustard brads to each of the holes. #2 has been layered up ontop of some SU! punches and a die cut pinking circle. I've added some thin organza ribbon and lime green twine for texture and outlined some panels with a Real Red marker.

Enjoy your lazy Sunday. xo

Special 40th

So in an attempt to be a better blogger this year, I'm gonna try and share more of my commissioned cards with you all. I am also gonna try and be a clever crafter and think further ahead into the year. For instance, matching up commissions with DT work and tryna get organised with birthday and thank you cards. This way I won't have a load of made up cards just sitting in a box on my shelf gathering dust. Wish me luck! ;)

So, this is one of the last birthday cards I made in 2012. It was for my boss at work, it was the big 4-0 and it was from all of us at work. :) It was a 6"x6" card again. Aren't I getting brave? That big space doesn't intimidate me that much anymore.

My cardbase is some Very Vanilla cardstock from SU! I used some My Minds Eye papers along side another slice of Very Vanilla cardstock from SU! for the main sentiment panel. The gorgeous butterfly is from Waltzingmouse and has been stamped in Pretty in Pink ink from SU! The sentiment is also Waltzingmouse and I've die cut the 40 from more My Minds Eye paper with my MM Slice.

As for embellishments I used some ruffled pink sheer ribbon and some crochet trim from The Ribbon Girl alongside a bunch of Wild Orchid Craft goodness. I've tied the double bow with some Pretty in Pink taffeta using my bow easy. Oh, and the little green leaves? They're a MFT die. *LOVE*

Off to reply to emails and get my ass into gear for tonight. It's works Christmas doo. In 2013. Yes! :) Adios. xo

On Your Retirement

I was recently asked to make a retirement card for a friend of my sisters. All I had to go on was.. bikes! LOL. So, I rolled with it and had a mess through my stash.

Here's what I came up with using an older collection from Cosmo Cricket called The Boyfriend.. I think.

I used Harolds ABC's from Lawn Fawn to create my sentiment which I stamped in Early Espresso onto Lucky Limade cardstock, both from SU! The red bicycle paper was from an embellishment sheet as part of the collection, I just trimmed it into a rectangle and layered it atop a die cut circle and an embossed kraft tag.

Hope you likey. Over and out. xo

Tuesday, 1 January 2013

Yup, you stole my heart.

HAPPY 2013!! I hope you seen the new year in with a blast! I had such a laugh at a local pub with friends. Haven't been that drunk in a while, and I regretted it come about 2am this morning - but it was worth it! ;) So I'ma be T-Total until 31st December 2013! LOL.

So, we're starting off the new year with a brand new challenge over at Some Odd Girl. Of course it's a sketch for you to follow ;) Head over to the blog and see the amazing inspiration the ODDies have come up with.

Here's my take on the sketch using Heartsy Mae, Love Bandit (for sentiment) and Lovey Tobie (for hearts).
I've coloured this cutie up using the standard ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye.

I've embossed my Naturals White cardstock with a diamond lattice embossing folder and adhered my pinking circle straight down to that.

My sentiment is from the Love Bandit clear set that was released early in December. I thought the expression on Mae's face made it perfect to use as a cute valentines card. I've added a bunch of Doodlebug brads and some red pearls to finish this relatively CAS card. :) Hope you likey.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
- My Mums Craft Shop - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by.
Happy New Year. xo
