Pixie Dust

This girl is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. I just wanna grab those little rosy cheeks of hers!

This is PIXIE DUST from Some Odd Girl. She comes with a sentiment and two little mushrooms too.

I've coloured this littl'un up with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I've also paper pieced those stripey tights of hers and added a bunch of liquid pearls and Stickles to her pretty wings.

I just had to, had to, paper piece those toadstool with some pretty patterned papers! I've used the largest as a starting point for my sentiment strip which I've stamped in Island Indigo ink from SU! I've layered up a flat paper flower from WOC with a pinking circle and the toadstools. I then added large blue brad and arranged some die cut leaves behind it all.

Love these designs from SOG! :) They rock my socks each and every time. Fairies can be used for a number of occasions, and with the sentiments they're paired up with it makes it even easier to create something worth keeping. xo

Kaylee's Closet Addition

Ohhh, can I get a cheer?! I know you guys will love this set. Any addition to Kaylee's Closet is gonna be a winner, right?

Well since this month has been all about the fairies, it's only fair that we give Kaylee her very own set of wings, and a wand. Oh, and the most lovely layered leaf-iest dress. Ever.

I decided to go with something a little different this time round, and I created a little notebook backed by chipboard. It can sit on your desk and be waiting for those moments when ideas strike.

I coloured Kaylee using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I paper pieced her dress and shoes and added some shading to make them pop. I added blue tips to her hair, because I had to! :)

I layered up a flat Wild Orchid Crafts flower with a die cut felt flower and an embossed Prima flower and attached them all with a My Minds Eye brad. I stamped the sentiment from the set in Island Indigo ink from SU!

I cut some borders from the paper pack I was using from My Minds Eye and added a feather and some brads and liquid pearls.

That's about it from me for today. Back tomorrow with the last of the fairies from the release.

We've got Fairy Magic..

.. to share with you all over at Some Odd Girl today. February really is for Fairies!! We've a brand new release happening over the next three days and to kick start it we've got this little cutie to share with ya..

Is she not just dreamy?! Love the shape of those wings, and those flowers in her hair are the perfect touch.. oh and those shoes? Made from leaves? Come on!! She's a beauty, alright!

FAIRY MAGIC

I've coloured her up using my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye. Tell ya a secret.. with all this "free from FB" time I've been having lately, I had a brain wave. I wanna try and use my stash up, like.. NOW. I hate having to trawl through my draws for stuff to use on a specific project, so for a couple hours the other day I just sat. and sorted. I picked a couple paper packs that I'm feeling right now, matched a few sheets of cardstock and raided my draws for matching embellishments. I now have two designated draws for 'stuff to use now' with the paper packs I wanna use up. I like me a plan every now and then. Here's hoping all goes well!

I wanted to make a larger card for this girlie, so this ended up being 5.75"x5.75 which is about as big as I'd go. I also wanted to colour hair blue. As soon as I seen her, I knew it was happening. So I went with it. Yellow and blue flows well, no? I used a few die cut pinking circles, a lovely beige feather, some Studio Calico rubons, Prima flowers, a homemade clay doodad, some yummy pearl brads and liquid pearls and stuff. You know, the usual.

The sentiment is included in the set, alongside a mini kinda.. starburst thingy. Very pretty!! I stamped the sentiment onto some more paper from My Minds Eye in Island Indigo ink from SU!

Oh, and before I get asked.. because I always ask other peoples where they get their leaves from.. They're from a My Favorite Things die. Voila! ;)

All you gotta do to win this treasure is head over to the Some Odd Girl blog and leave a comment! That's it! :) She will be available to buy from the shop from tomorrow, along with the rest of the release if you just. can't. wait! Heh.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:

Featured: Kody with Flowers

I'm back. I think. *smiles*

It's been what..? Almost a month since I touched down with you guys. I can only apologize for that. There has been way more than "too much" happening at home, I still haven't quite got my head around things, but stuff is looking up. Eventually. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for me and my family please! :)

On top of all of that, I've had crap internet connection. Okay, so TalkTalk are wack at the best of times.. but my local interchange are switching over to that fibre optic stuff and what ever is that isn't having any of it.. is having none of it. Serious. I've been lucky to get on the odd few minutes here and there to get some emails sent. Gahhh!! I haven't even looked at FB.. which in all honesty has actually been.. good. I've got a heap of stuff done. It's amazing what can be achieved when your ass isn't glued to that stoopid site all the time! Heh.

Anywho, enough of all that. I'ma try and get caught up as best I can starting with my blog posts, and to kick start things over here I will share a project from Some Odd Girl, that the lovely Leah posted for me over at the SOG Blog on Thursday.

Meet Kody with Flowers. This is an older SOG digi, and you know what? I still loves him. :) Who could resist that sweet little face and cute, yet modest, bunch of flowers he's got there!?

I made this a little before Valentines, and I gotta say.. I'm still diggin' the red and turquoise combo. I've added some washi, a sentiment from The Greeting Farm which I've cut into three, some twill stripe ribbon.. oh, and that diagonal craze I've got happening with the gems and liquid pearls. Guides the eye across the card, no? Heh, did I sound like I knew what I was chattin' just then? ;)

So there you go, a tiny drop of Cartolinas goodness in an incredibly empty river bed that is my blog right now! Hope to catch up soon. Over and out. xo
