Leopard Print

Hey everyone, just quick post to show you another Konad Nail plate design which I tried out the other day.

I have had a lazy day today - just lounging around trying to get some uni work done. Yuck. So unexiting, but it must be done. In between that I have been window shopping online and taking a look at some peoples blogs. Anywho..

Just a simple gray and black combo - goes with anything! Still needed a bit of tidying up at this point and a top coat applied. Hope you like. :)

Konad Nail Art - Attempt # 2&3

Hey all, thanks for dropping by - sorry I don't have a card to show you today. Life at home has been really hectic of late - so I've had to take a bit of time out from crafting. I have a list of challenges I would like to enter though - so fingers crossed I may get round to making a card soon. I'm back at uni on Monday - and I have my two DT cards scheduled for the morning, so be sure to pop by then to take a look.

Anyway.. here are some more nails..

Here are my second and third attemps at using the Konad Nail Art Plates - such fun!! For both designs I used China Glaze - Grape Pop, and Konad White Pearl for the design - along with the m60 plate. My m57 plate arrived today - so I can't wait to try out some of the designs on that one!!

I am attending my friends engagement party tonight, so I best pull myself together and go and get ready soon.

Enjoy your night. xo

Konad Nail Art - Attempt #1

*NOTE: Please don't judge! LOL. This is/was my first ever attempt using the Konad nail art plates.*

Products:
Base coat: Collection 2000 2 in 1 Basecoat & Ridge filler
Base colour: China Glaze - Pelican Gray (952)
Top colour: Barry M - Cyan Blue (294)
Nail plate: Konad m60
Top coat: Collection 2000 Maxiflex 5 day wear polish - Clear

Obviously the picture shows my nails before the final clean up - so there were still bits and pieces, to take off with some nail varnish remover. Simples.

I am quite happy with the results - but I could do with A LOT more practice. But hey, you do your nails loads, so I will get loads of practice. Hopefully my technique will be near to perfect soon.

I have found that some nail varnishes are really crap when it comes to using with the plate - they are just too thin and dry too quick. For now, I find the Barry M is really good, it is thick enough to not dry out too quickly before you apply the image to the stamp. I have ordered some proper Konad nail varnish - as reviews I have read highly recommend it. Black, white and silver.

Thats all for now - I hope this has given you an insight into how easy the tool is to use.

KONAD Nail Art - Wish List - Orders

oOoooOOo.. some of my KONAD Nail Art products arrived in the post this morning - super excited!! I happened to stumble upon what are called 'Bundle Monster' nail plates on YouTube when searching for nail art the other day, so I searched trusty old Amazon, and found these.. (*NOTE* Sorry about the quality of the pictures this morning - my cameras shaker control was just not cooperating)..

I mean wow - the detail you can achieve is awesome! Nothing you would ever be able to get with even the finest of brushes. I have ordered two more 'plates' but I'm still waiting for them to arrive. This one is: KONAD m60. One of the others I have ordered has a freakin' tiger print on!! My gosh! :D

I also ordered the tools..

The second packet from the left is the 'Stamp & Scraper' - there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube you can watch which show you how its used - veeeery easy (why else would I have got them?! LOL) and the far right packet just contains a holder for the metal plate with the images on - not 100% sure whether I'll use it yet, I'll have to work out my set up first.

And of course, I had to had to get some China Glaze nail lacquer - I've been putting it off for far too long - thinking.. hmm, will I EVER use those colours, like, really? But then.. I found this GORGEOUS colour - Pelican Grey, I consistently wear either Rimmel - 60 Second Grey Matter or Barry M - Cyan Blue, they are always my go to colours. So when I found a China Glaze in grey, how could I say no?! It has nail hardner in with the varnish - so it'll help people with brittle nails etc. Less snapping and ruining your nails. Yippeee!

Yet another blurry photo, I'm sorry if I'm making your eyes go funny! LOL. As you can see I have the Barry M - Cyan Blue on at the moment, with a hand painted plaid pattern in white - done with a nail art brush I got for Christmas off my boyfriends Mam, I love playing with them, you can achieve some really neat stuff - if you have a steady hand!

Anyway, I'll definately be trying these products out when I re-do my nails - which shouldn't be long, as this time round they were done in a rush!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to get a few cards made today, for DT spots as well as some extra birthday cards etc for my stash. Thats after I have popped to the Post Office - the third time this week - to get some stuff posted off to friends on Trimcraft.

As for my 'Wish-List' - I have placed some orders with Bunny Zoe Crafts, Quixotic Paperie, The Ribbon Girl, Stampeezee and a LOT from eBay. I am waiting for my 16BG USB to arrive from Play.com before I download anymore digi stuff, I have a feeling my computer may rebel against me and I lose it all. I know I should have backed up from the start - but there are always more interesting things to do! LOL.

I should hopefully be placing an order with SU! very shortly - I MUST get my hands on some of that Crumb Cake product. And next month should hopefully *fingers crossed* be my first ever order with PTI - super excited about that - as it stands I have a wish list as long as my arm, but I'll shortern it down.. somehow.

Flower Nails

A little break from the usual crafting madness..

I have been doing this with my nails for as long as I can remember now, it just adds that little something extra and is really quick and simple to do. I have it on my fourth (ring) finger of both hands.

The base colour of my nails has been grey for a long while, it goes with anything. I love the Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish, this grey is Grey Matter - 805. The shape of the brush is really handy - it goes on smoothly and fast.

The blue petals of the flower is Blue My Mind - 810 from the same Rimmel collection - apply five dots in a circle and drag, with a cocktail stick, into the middle of the circle. Then simply apply a nail pearl with pressure and wait for it to dry. Apply a couple of layers of top coat - I prefer Rimmel Pro Super Care Topcoat, but I'm gradually going to start trying more out.

Hope you like it and you have learnt something new today!
