Your future is bright.

Hello guys! Why do weeks off work zoom by at super sonic speed?! Meeehhh!! That phrase.. time flies when you're having fun! It most certainly does.

Today I'm popping in to share some INSPIRATION with you all using products you can pick up at My Mum's Craft Shop

I spotted a card over on.. I wanna say Pinterest, but I'm not totally sure. I wish I had a link to give ya as it was a total inspiration, but.. I don't.

I started off with some Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass and Mustard Seed. I used some watercolour paper and created a little background with the DI and a tonne of water. I masked the edges of the watercolour paper with some washi tape to create a little white border.

I then stamped a sentiment from My Favorite Things - Watts Up? stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I then went to town building up my little lightbulb using the Die-namics Lightbulb die! I created a white base, and added another vellum layer which I used to inlay the little heart design in the centre. Very cute.

Before adhering everything down, as a last finishing touch I took some more Mustard Seed DI and some various circles from My Favorite Things - Bokeh Builder and added them in a diagonal pattern down the watercolour panel.

I adhered everything to an orange matt (I desperately need some rolls of foam adhesive, that watercolour paper refused to lay flat).. and then added it to my card base. Oh, and I chucked some Doodlebug sequins onto the design too.

I really love how this card turned out. It's always good to get out of your comfort zone every now and again! Be sure to to stop by the blog for daily inspiration and the website is regularly updated with new products. xo

SMILE

Yoohoo! I'm back again today with some more My Mum's Craft Shop inspiration goodness!

Yesterday you seen me go all out with my card for the BRIGHT COLOURS callenge. Coloured image, patterned papers, loads of froofroo. Throughout this week however, all of the DT girls will be showing off their CAS cards using MMCS products

I just had to break out my new set from My Favorite Things - SMILE for this card.
I paired my sentiment with some leaves and dots from Paper Smooches - Reflections stamp set.

I stamped SMILE in Blue Raspberry Hybrid Ink from MFT.
I stamped the rest of the sentiment in Onyx Black Versafine
The leaves have been stamped in Grout Gray Hybrid Ink,
.. and the dots in Spearmint Hybrid Ink.

To finish off this super CAS I scored all edges of the card stock about 1/4" from the edge for a little more added interest. :) I hope this inspires you to leave the patterned paper behind and just have a good play with your stamps and see what you can come up with!

Be sure to stop by the blog each day this week to gather more inspiration from the awesome DT girlies. xo

You're So Special

A nip and a punch for the first of the month!! JUNE ALREADY!! I KNOW!!

Let's get to it! It's time for a brand new monthly challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop!! This month Kitty wants us to INK IT UP!

I used my most FAVOURITE ever papers from Doodlebug. I could sit and stroke them all day.
Doodlebug Designs Sequins - Assorted. I used a combination of the pink ones on this card.

I stamped and embossed the flowers and leaves onto coloured cardstock and added depth using my ProMarkers. I then fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card in a layout that was pleasing to the eye. I added dimensionals to some and popped the ends of the leaves up. I then added Doodlebug sequins here and there and some pink liquid pearls to finish the embellishing off.

I stamped a greeting from Amy R - Great Birthday Greetings set onto the woodgrain paper from Doodlebug in Onyx Black Versafine ink to make sure it stood out against the pattern. I added a strip of black cardstock to the right edge of the patterned paper and BAM. Job's a good'un.

Super easy!! So grab those stamps and pretty inks, and go crazy! We wanna see you INK IT UP! I can't wait to see every ones take on this challenge.

Head over to the MMCS Blog NOW and have a gander at the other awesome inspiration from the DT girls! You will not be disappointed. xo

Together Forever

Some of you may remember my excitment a while back, when I placed my first ever order with Clearly Besotted stamps? I was over. the. moon. when they arrived in the post - but I couldn't find any proper time to sit down and play with them.. until last month!!

Here is a Valentine's card I created using Paired Up and the matching dies.

Dead easy to achieve with these fab stamps! This has to be one of my favourite cards this year, so far. It's totally out of my comfort zone but it felt lovely to just sit and stamp.

I can highly recommend Clearly Besotted to anyone. Do not hesitate! BUY YOURS NOW! LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by again. Happy Friday.

I hope you have a fun filled weekend planned. I hope to lock myself away at my desk for pretty much every passing hour tomorrow! ;) xo
