Isla Mae

Who agrees, that's a gorgeous name?! Love it!!

I created this card using a Hobby House topper for a brand new baby girl, Isla Mae.

I haven't had as much time as I might have liked to really make head way with my Christmas cards so far this year. I know I said a couple weeks ago my blog might be Christmas-y from here on out, I lied. I've been sooo busy with commissions and other DT work that I haven't really had time. This must change! Anywho.

Isla Mae.

I was desperate to use that feather paper from Carta Bella, and this was the perfect project for it! The perfect colour pink! Yum! I teamed it up with some green plaid paper from an Echo Park pack. It's not very often that I mix and match papers from different packs, but this time it totally worked! :)

I added a whole load of the usual froofroo. Any questions, don't be shy - just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks for stopping by. xo

Summer Lovin'

Morning guys! :) I can't quite believe how fast this month is zooming by - it's almost AUGUST! Yikes!!

It's time for another challenge from us over at Passion for ProMarkers - and Team 1 are showcasing another bunch of SUMMER makes! Be sure to stop by the BLOG when you're done here to check out the girls work and to have a gander at the prize up for grabs!!

This week we wanna see..

SUMMER LOVIN'

Here's a card I whipped up using the beautiful Cali Girl from Saturated Canary which I have to admit to buying a long time ago.. and I have only just got around to colouring her up for this card. I'm such a digi hoarder! I keep telling myself *it's okay, they never go off* - really gotta sort myself out.

So, some of you may remember THIS card I posted last week with a gate fold, you probably seen it coming.. but I just had to try it again. It makes my brain think a little bit harder with re. to where I can place my sentiments and embellishments.

I coloured Cali Girl with my ProMarkers to match my summer papers from Carta Bella which I hardly used last year.. so I'm tryna use them up this year! I used some Amy R stamps to create my sentiment and layered it up on top of a mini card from the paper pack and a die cut pinking circle.

I die cut a bunch of vellum clouds and added them to the image panel. I then cracked open the little envelope of gifted orange buttons I recieved from my wonderful crafty friend Debbi and added a couple of those around about the design.

I hate any of my workings showing on the inside of my card, so I'm always super careful about where I position brads and buttons (I always stitch my buttons to my cards) before adhering anything down, that way the recipient will never know how things are stuck down and it will look way neater.

As always I finished the the whole design off with a bunch of liquid pearls, sequins and stickles.

Thank you for popping by today guys. Be sure to check out the work from the awesome Passion for ProMarkers DT girls over at the blog! Get some inspiration for the Summer Lovin' theme, and join in! xo

Beside the Seaside

Good moooorning guys! :)

BRAND NEW CHALLENGE

OH I DO LIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE

I just *HAD* to use this adorable chap from CURLY from Pollycraft.

I printed him out pretty large with no lines and went to work with my ProMarkers. I coloured him in blue and orange to match my papers from Carta Bella. These are summery themed papers from last year, but I still have a bunch left over to use up.

I didn't really have a sentiment to match this guy, so I cut down a little element from one of the sheets of paper and bam - sentiment done. I went a little crazy with brads, sequins, buttons and such (you all know me by now) after I had stuck my little vellum clouds down.

Be sure to head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog and join in with our challenge this week! :) Thank you for stopping by today. xo

Get Well Wishes

It's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers today.

This challenge theme was set by our lovely Shelly!! She wanted us to UPCYCLE something you wouldn't normally use on a card.

The awesome name of our challenge is

RAGS TO RICHES

There are loads of examples over at the Passion for ProMarkers blog. The girls have rocked this theme and really thought outside of the box!!

For my card.. I had no idea what I really wanted to do. ..and then it hit me. Why not make a shaker card using some packaging?

When I bought my new Cuttlebug plates a couple months ago I held onto the packaging.. and now I know why!! ;) It's time has come.

I coloured up the adorable Bathtime Bobbi  from DigiStamp Boutique in a green towel.. so cute. At first I was gonna make a baby card with this little guy, but some awesome people over on my FB page suggested a Get Well card.. I loved that idea and rolled with it.

I filled my shaker card with die cut vellum stars, a bunch of sequins and some gemstones and pearls. I made the big mistake of forgetting to talc the edges of my foam tape and a few of the embellishments have stuck to the inside.. not to worry - it still looks pretty, and you get the idea! ;)

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple, adding a blue grosgrain ribbon to match my papers from Carta Bella, and the sentiment from Amy R stamped and embossed on a little speech bubble die cut.

I hope you get an idea of what we're wanting to see this week. I cannot wait to browse through your blogs and see what you come up with for this awesome challenge! xo

Dina the Dino

A late one from me tonight, but I'm still aiming for a post a day this week!!

I thought I'd share another commission card from last month. This is Dina the Dino.

Adorable!! She even has a glittery neck! Hah!!

This cutie is from.. I wanna say.. My Grafico? It's saved as zenware designs in my digi folder though, so I'm not 100%! :/ I've coloured her, or it could be a him, with my ProMarkers to match papers from Carta Bella.

I added a huge '2' using my Thickers and a smaller sentiment, 'daughter' created using my Lawn Fawn alpha stamps. I wanted to add a few more elements to this packed card, so added lime green and orange roses from WOC. a lime green polka dot ribbon and a ton of liquid pearls.

Ahh! :)

I'm now off to print me some Tiddly Inks and Some Odd Girl goodies! This is my prep for an incredibly crafty Saturday!

Catch you all tomorrow with post FIVE of the week! Thanks for stopping by today. xo

Compost Happens

Hey up!! Wednesday again.

This week over at My Mum's Craft Shop we've got ourselves a free week, which means the DT girls can whip up whatever they fancy!! I decided to play with yet another Paper Smooches stamp set.

The set I used for this card is "Green Thumb"  - I knew as soon as I seen it I had to have it!! Look at that sentiment - compost happens - perfect for so many cards!!

There are pieces of veg in the set including this cute carrot and pea pod.

I knew when I sat down to make this card I didn't want it to include any colouring, so I decided to paper piece instead. I used papers from Carta Bella Wildflower pack and really loved how the little seed packets turned out!

I tore some Core'dinations cardstock to create my 'compost' and added a few sprouting leaves above and a tiny snail - so cute!

This card would be perfect to send to a gardening friend or to anyone who is in need of a little pick me up!!

Voila - a card without a ProMarker in sight! I even resisted the urge to colour the little snails shell! ;)

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to stop by the MMCS Blog for the rest of the week to see what the DT girls have been up to!! xo

Cheerful Thoughts

Good morning guys, thanks for stopping by today.

How are you liking my daily posts so far? I've gotta admit, I've had a blast keeping my blog up to date with you all. To be honest, as long as I have my projects made in advance, I can spend a couple hours a few times a week just making sure I have every day covered with a different and decent post. This kinda thing was gonna be one of my new years resolutions - but it appears that I've already reached that goal. May I keep it up!!

So, with it being Wednesday once again, I get to share some My Mum's Craft Shop inspiration with you all!! Ready?

I don't know about you, but I'm getting a little bored of seeing Christmas cards lately, all the red and green is making me feel a little bored - so here's a bright, fun tag using spring colours to bring a smile to your face!!

A super quick and simple tag - created as a little pick me up for a friend.

Here are the ingredients:

I hope you like! :)

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop for daily inspiration!

Happy Hump Day. xo

Pit Stop

.. an extremely quick post as I'm cutting this rather fine and I'm almost ready for bed!

HUGE NEWS!! I was picked as part of the new DT for My Mum's Craft Shop!!

I cannot wait to officially get started on Wednesday, which will be my usual posting day from next week onwards.. but for now I thought I'd stop by with this quick card I made tonight.. just in time for the last few hours of the June Sketch challenge over at Some Odd Girl!!

So I coloured Kaylee up after work today to match papers from Carta Bella - Beach Boardwalk collection which I swear was in stock over at My Mum's Craft Shop yesterday.. but it seems to have disappeared.
Hmmm.

This is the first A6 size card I have made in AGES! It actually took a lot more thinking about than it looks, honest!! I tried to keep it pretty plain and simple.. for me.. as I wanted it finished and photographed and postted before bed.. so without further waffle.. here is the card.

I obviously followed the June Sketch over at SOG and added a few extra bits and pieces here and there, like the clouds and the sentiment which are from a SOG stamp set called Sunny Mae. I used a strip of the patterned paper with the arrows on to kinda ground my image and fussy cut those fluffy clouds.

Cannot wait for my first MMCS creation to hit the blog! Keep your eyes peeled for daily inspiration from the DT using products from the store!

You can buy all of your supplies HERE and you can check out the DT HERE. Have fun. :)
