Second Week of POLLYCRAFT Christmas Special

Sorry if you were over here yesterday looking for my Weekly Catch up. I didn't have much to catch up with really. Nothing new to show you or tell ya about - so I done without. :) Plus I'm worn out with the cold. I have a chesty cough on top of a sore throat and poppy ears and a runny nose. I'm such a catch right now! ;)

Enough of my sob story.. I promised I'd be back with a weekly reminder for our Special Pollycraft Christmas Challenge.. and here is the second installment. You guys joined in yet?! No?! HEAD ON OVER THERE!! Have you seen the prizes?! Yikes, you do NOT know what you're missing!!

So, who knew boy themed Christmas cards could be such fun?! That's the effect Paulas images have on me, they make even the trickiest projects a joy to create with such ease. Check out the new Christmas release over at the Pollycraft Shop.

For my card this week, I used a freebie from last Monday.. Casper Silvermist - "Too Cool For Christmas" You can still grab him for FREE HERE over at the Shop.

I've coloured him using Copics and ProMarkers and fussy cut him out. Sorta wish his jumper wasn't grey. Hey ho - what's to stop me printing him out again and trying a different combo?! ;) I've added Stardust Stickles to the fluff on his Santa hat and adhered him to the card using dimensionals. Fluff. Love that word.

I have used scraps of paper from Basic Grey Jovial collection and kept the layout pretty simple, being a Christmas card for a teenage boy and all. I used Die-namics Button Quartet, lime green bakers twine and some Prima pearls to add a few embellishments.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Mark's Finest Papers - Make it Masculine
× The Poodles Parlour - Christmas
× Stamping with the Dragon - Anything Goes
× Simply Create Too - #1 All About Christmas
× Sweet 'n Sassy - Favourite Things
Dies, Doodles, Digis, Ribbon/ Twine
× Totally Papercrafts - Christmas

Blues and Creams

Best get this post scheduled quick set incase I can't drag my ass out of bed. :) Joy huh. I think the flu bug and the sickness bug have combined to make a SUPERBUG. Like both symptons at the same times. It's just so fun. Not! :(

Anywho, you guys know what's coming. I'm here to give ya some more inspiration for our..

BLUES AND CREAMS

challenge this week over at LLLC.

I sorta inspired myself with this, do you remember THIS card I posted not long ago? I loved it so much I wanted to use the same paper collection - MME Portobello Road - again. Too delicious.

I sorta went against the grain with this card. It's Christmas-y, but it's blue and cream, PLUS the image isn't Christmas-y  at all. I used Faerie Marci, which you can grab from the LLLC Store.

I've created a little fan, for something different and embellished the corner? with some WOC goodness. In blues and creams, of course! ;) I've added some Stardust Stickles to Marci's angel wings. I guess, depending on how you roll with Christmas, she could be the pretty little fairy on top of the tree! :D

Here is a shot the of top of the card with the tag pulled out..

.. and the sentiment on the tag stamped in Frayed Burlap DI.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Inky Impressions - Handmade Embellishment
Accordian Fan
× My Mums Craft Shop - Things with Wings
× 7 Kids College Fund - None Traditional Christmas Colours
× Crafty Ribbons Challenge  - Use a Tag
× Aud Sentiments - Any Winter/Holiday Sentiment

Tickled Pink Stamp Challenges

Hey {PINK} Fans. :) Another Thursday (or Friday if you're down under - I think..) another Tickled Pink Challenge! Yippeee. Hopefully I'll be able to get this typed and ready before I head out to work, but if not, and you're reading this a little later than planned - I apologise.

I've been to work and darts aaall day the past two days, haven't had time to turn around. Plus I've been a little bit ill, and due to the amount of sleep I had last night, I feel a little bit more dead that I did yesterday! LOL!! On the plus side, it's more money for me, AND me and my (darts) partner won the first round of doubles last night! ;) All of those positive thoughts I've been telling people to think about must've worked!!

Anywho, time for the nitty gritty. This week, us {PINK} ladies would like to see a..

HANDWRITTEN SENTIMENT

..on your creation. Tricky?! You're damn right. I wasted about 1000000 tags tryna get my handwriting to look nice, so in the end I bottled it and went with a stamp which looks handwritten! ;) Like how I twisted that there?! The other ladies have gone all out though, and showed you a little bit of their handwriting, so be sure to stop by the challenge blog to see what they've got for ya! ;)

Here's what I've come up with.. the littler cheater than I am! Another little money wallet - admittedly, lacking photos of the inside. Again. I only cut a little semi circle flap sorta set up so a £20 note sits nicely inside. Nothing spectacularly difficult! :)

Of course.. I had to use some more papers from Jovial. I tell ya - I'm a woman on a mission. These papers are gonna be used up before this Christmas is over. :D I die cut a piece of the black patterned paper using a nestie to use as a background to my image. Some blue liquid pearls in clusters of three (because I have a sorta OCD ;)) fill in the blank space on this wallet. Loooovely.

I've used the super cute Tickled Winter Lil' Lolita Shopping Ivy from the latest Christmas collection, you can grab yours from the Tickled Pink Stamps Store. I've coloured her using Copics and ProMarkers, fussy cut her out and added a little bit of Gold Stickles to her gifts. :) Do ya love her shoes? I do. Although I admit I have difficulty sometimes colouring the Lil' Lads and Lil' Lolitas with the MASSIVE nibs on the PMs - but I really enjoyed colouring this cutie up.

Here is a close up of my "handwritten" *cough* sentiment. It looks handwritten, does it not?! Come on, cut me a bit slack, I'm a poorly girl. I've attached the little tag to the red seam binding using some lovely aqua bakers twine to tie in with the little bits of blue on the patterned paper.

Hope you likey! :) I'd like to enter this money wallet into these challenges:
× Delightful Challenges - Red and Green
× Hanna and Friends - Red and Another Colour
× Moving Along with the Times - Ribbons and Bows
× I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. As you read this I hope to be getting ready to stamp some images and climb into bed. Hopefully I can stay awake long enough to colour some of them! HA! Ohhh, the lives we lead!

Christmas Angel - Money Wallet

Morning all, well, afternoon now. Though I'd better get this post up and live before I head off to work. It's already been live over at Quixotic Inspirations since 8 this morning, so you may have already seen it. Anywho.  I've got a darts competition tonight, so I won't have time when I get home from work before I head off out again. Yikes. No rest for the wicked as they say.

So, I thought I might have a photo of the inside to show ya, but it seems my camera is d-e-a-d. HA! Typical eh, so yet again I'll have to come back with an UPDATE. For now, the front will have to do ya. ;)

This project is the end result of an idea that has been in my head since.. what?! Mid October. Yes, I'm slow! :) I've wanted to make my own little 'money wallets' for Christmas, you know the type, right?

Meet the super cute little angel from Kraftin' Kimmie - Seraphina. I left out the halo and the sentiment from the set and used my own from Hero Arts. The patterned papers are from Echo Park - Holly Jolly Collection. I used a nestie to create the shape behind Seraphina and made a banner shape from a gorgeous little polka dot paper for her to sit on. :) I also used some yummy Prima E Line Pearls to embellish the wallet a little. I got them in the massive sale Elaine had a while back. Still got a LOT to use!! I love having a lot of stash, especially small embellishments like that. Can't be shy using them, right?

I used the Die-namics - Let it Snowflake die to create some added embellishments. The gorgeous lace is from The Ribbon Girl and the sentiment from Hero Arts has been stamped in Chestnut Roan chalk ink - such a delicious impression when you use that ink. :) Crisp.

I've seen loads of projects using this stamp over on the Kraftin' Kimmie FB page, where the chicks have been coloured up in like.. blue, and other cutsie colours. That thought never even crossed my mind, so watch this space for another version of this with BLUE chicks! ;) LOVE blue.

I'll try to be back later with a shot of the inside. :) Hope you likey. I'm trying to get a few of these pumped out, you know.. for Christmas. I've had SO many Christmas orders from other people that I actually don't have a single Christmas card to send out myself. Am I useless, or what?! USELESS!

On The Way

Hiya everyone. Quickly want to get this up before I head out to work, but I'll update it later when I'm back after darts. A loooong day ahead of me! :( Yuck!!

Here is another card I've created as a commission using LOTV - On The Way. LOVE this stamp. So versatile. It will be getting used a whole lot more before the season is over too! :)

This is another "secret" commission, so I gotta keep my button shut as to who it's for. I hope the lady in question likes it. Shes a huge fan of my work, so much so, she thinks I should go wholesale! LOL. Crazy girl. I told her that wouldn't work. People love my cards so much as they're usually OOAK and handmade, well.. I hope that's why they love my cards. Card makers ability to personalise cards any which way is something which appeals to a lot of people me thinks.

Another slice of delicious paper from Basic Grey Jovial collection from last year. Can't get enough of it this season. It's slowly getting used up anyway, and that was my aim. :) No more paper sitting looking pretty in my drawer for months/years! LOL.

Here is a HYAAAUGH picture of the coloured image, so you can see all of my flaws and mistakes. But that's what makes a coloured image unique, right? No two are ever going to be the same. I've coloured this one slightly differently to the last, but still in traditional coloured. Love that little heart tree.. can't remember the proper name of the shaped shrubs.. KWIM? But it's cute all the same.

Have a good day, whatever you're doing. I wish I was still in bed. Is it just me, or is it harder than ever to drag yourself outa bed when it's still dark outside?!

I'll update the post later on tonight, with supplies and challenges.

Four Week Special

This is the second time I've typed this post up. Wish me luck that this one actually stays where it's meant to, because my other one has buggered off into the nether. Good morning Pollycrafters. How are ya all?! I've got a Monday off work. Yippeee!! Time to sort out this fuffing car insurance and get me a 2012 diary that is sturdy enough to see it through the year!! :)

There are four in this release, plus another handsome Casper Silvermist (perfect for those tricky teenager cards) - Paula will be adding them to the Pollycraft Shop today, so be sure to pick yours up and get creating those adorable Christmas cards! ;)

I used some slices of paper from last years Christmas collection from Basic Grey - Jovial. Delicious papers. I love the mix of traditional colours with contemporary patterns.. so clever. Plus they've added a splash of blue, blue is never a bad thing. One bad thing is the papers are running low! LOL. Gotta use them up though. That's what I keep telling myself away. HA!

I've coloured this cute image using a mix of ProMarkers and Copics. I decided to keep him on his own little panel instead of fussy cutting him out so I could add a slight 'night time glow' around him. Not a lot of distressing or doodling on this card, but hey - sometimes it's good to break habits.

The little sentiment is from a Some Odd Girl set, which I have embossed in white. I kinda wish I'd distressed the edges of the card base to make it match this panel a little better. Never mind. Critical eye and all that.

Be sure to check out  the Challenge Blog to see what the other awesome DT have done with these new images! ;)

Weekly Catch Up

How's your Sunday spanning out?! I'm at work 10-2, so no Sunday dinner for me. Didums!! LOL!! Looks like it will be beans on toast for me when I get in. Enough already, my tummys rumbling!!

WEEKLY CATCH UP

I found this awesome blog whilst browsing the WWW for nothing in general and DAMN am I glad I did!!

Original digital stamp designs by Megan K. Suarez

Get on over there NOW and check out some of the digis available. Like cute/ scary. Loads of stuff for Christmas too!! Me? Oh, I'm waiting to check off some of the rubber I've been waiting for from Funky Kits, so the purse strings have gotta be tightened!! She is also having a DT call for anyone who is interested, just scroll down the page a little. The announcement didn't have it's own little post so I got a little confuzzled as to how to link it. Dilly Bean Designers is a little challenge blog they've got going on too!! Exciting stuff!

Update: I ordered my Simply Sassy set 11 late Friday night. Oh, and I ordered some Dilly Bean digis.. like.. Tuesday. I have absolutely NO self control when it comes to craft goodies.

Because of my little (big) splurge - I don't think I'ma have the funds available to get my a little December Daily together. Hell, I don't even think I've enough money to fill the car up this week. Walking to work would not be fun. I'd have to set off about three hours before my shift! LOL. You wanna find out more about December Daily stuff? Head over to Ali Edwards blog now and get the low down. Here is her first post for the project this year, explaining the Foundation Pages.

Talking of Simply Sassy, you still have until tomorrow night to get blog hopping. Start the hop HERE over at the SS Blog. Seriously, the DT have rocked the boat with their creations this time around. So much inspiration floating about, I cannot WAIT to get my hands on that rubber!!

You guys know it wouldn't be a Sunday round up without some food involved.. this week it's Skittles Crazy Cores.

Let me tell ya, they're yummy!! I might even like them a little more than Crazy Sours, which says a LOT. I like my sour stuff! :)

Last but not least..

Do you guys LOVE LLLC as much as me?! Well if you live in the north east, and know of Papercuts in Whitley Bay.. you'll know that they'll be stocking LLLC rubber in 2012!! Yip. Exciting or WHAT?! :D
