Recipe Challenge

Time for another CHALLENGE over at Some Odd Girl!! First things, first though. How did you all get on with our Nouveau Challenge?! I hope you enjoyed it as much as the Design Team!! Congrats to the winner and the two faves, which can be found HERE.

I hope you've been over to check out the Guest Design Team Call too. Find out all of the details HERE. What are you waiting for?!

Oh, and finally, this is the last thing before I get on with the challenge, promise. Did you guys see the Thanksgiving Release?! You can pick yours up HERE.

Okay, now. This week over at SOG, we want to see you use our

RECIPE

2 pattern papers + coloured cardstock base (NO KRAFT OR WHITE BASE) + buttons + punch/die cut = your card.

I just had to use Balloon Kaylee. Because I love her outfit!! I've coloured her with a mix of ProMarkers and Copics. I then fussy cut her out and adhered her to the card using dimensionals. My two pieces of patterned paper are from Echo Parks - Victoria Gardens collection. I have distressed the edges of everything using Frayed Burlap DI and added some doodles using a brown fineliner.

I stamped the base of the pink card base using a cloud stamp from an October Afternoon stamp set in Pretty in Pink ink from SU!

The sentiment also comes in the clear stamp set - I stamped that onto kraft cardstock using Melon Mambo ink from SU! I then cut the whole thing out using a LG Ovals nestie. :) I have used some flowers dies from PTI to create an embellishment and added a lime green button threaded with pink bakers twine to the centre. Some additional pink buttons and pink gems finish the card off.

Here is a shot of the inside of the card. Again using the sentiment and Melon Mambo ink. Some words from Cosmo Crickets Alpha Stickers complete it. :)

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Crafting When We Can - Female Birthday
× Paper Minutes - Children's Birthday
× Squigglefly - Happy Birthday

Head on over to the challenge blog and see how the DT have used this recipe on their cards.
