HB2U

Morning guys! :) Some of you who follow me over on FB may recognise this card that I posted on the Time for Tea Designs page early last week. I told you I still had to get my butt into gear and get a blog post typed up for that card.. so here it is! :)

I printed the image out pretty large at 5.5 and went to town colouring up that gorgeous gown of hers. I used a bunch of blues.. and then stumped myself as to what colour to make the banner. She looked like a classy lady, so I went with a red ribbon and red polka dots on the flags (soo not classy!! LOL!)

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple using some red cardstock from SU! to matt my patterned paper from a Teresa Collins 6x6 pack. I edged my image panel with a Kaisercraft stamp in Memento Dandelion ink, and added some yellow gingham ribbon to match.

With the sentiment already being a part of the image (super handy, and another excuse to print her out a little bigger than you normally would) I added a sprinkling of yellow embellishments, including a Prima flower, a couple buttons some yellow and gold sequins and some gold liquid pearls.. all in a diagonal across the card of course! :)

That's all from me today. Be sure to stop by the Time for Tea Designs blog regularly to catch up on DT makes, updates and new releases coming your way. It's always happening over there. xo

Finally Friday.

Good evening guys! Finally Friday! Yippeeee!!

Five more shifts at work and then I'm off for a week. I cannot WAIT!

So.. if you follow me over on FB, you'll know that I have been seriously lacking mojo this past week. Things got so ridiculous that I decided to rip apart my craft desk and have a couple nights just reorganising my stash.

Last night I decided to create this little treat. I didn't dare make another start on any more orders incase I messed them up - which had happened earlier in the week. A total face/palm moment.

Onwards. Here's hoping the weekend is a little more productive. Please keep your finger crossed for me!

This is the adorable Hugs from the latest release from March. LOVE this girl - so cute. She's my new favourite.. but I say that about every one. I kept this super simple, the less things I added, the less things to go wrong, right?

I used a card base I had decorated with some embossing paste on Monday night and added some papers from an older Echo Park collection. I then used some May Arts black twill ribbon which I picked up from The Button Shack sale added a yellow Prima flower and a black clay doodad to finish the job.

I left the sentiment from this card (which is unusual for me) but I couldn't frickin' decided on one. Meh!!

HAPPY FRIDAY GUYS.

Thank you for stopping by. xo

Happy Thoughts

You know what makes me happy?

Little. Ginger. Cats!!

We've a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers today.

I treated myself to a few new (to me) Some Odd Girl digis a couple weeks ago and I NEEDED to find time to colour up Tia and Fluffy, this week's theme was perfect.

GO DIGITAL

You can use a digi image, digi papers, a digi sentiment or even a combination of the three!!

One of my favourite things about digis is the ability to resize them at the click of a button and to create a scene without the fuss of masking (although that can be very fun!)..

I coloured the little scene using a bunch of ProMarkers. Here are some of the combos I used off the top of my head.
T-shirt and shoes - Wild Cranberry, Carmine, Salmon Pink, Cocktail Pink
Skirt - Indigo Blue, Navy Blue, French Navy, Aegean
Ginger Kitty - Spice, Honeycomb, Apricot, Oatmeal

I used some delicious new papers from My Minds Eye - Here is Happy which I masked with a home made stencil (diagonal stripes) and misted with some new Tsukineko Fireworks - Pear Tart. These mists are just. Woah! I've tried a couple different brands before, but these blow every other kind out of the water. They're so vibrant. So SHIMMERY! Gaaahh!! I'll definitely be collecting a couple more colours. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

So for the rest of the card.. I added some strips of heart washi tape, a length of pink grosgrain ribbon and a double bow, some paint splotches with my new Kaisercraft stamps and some Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink (another new favourite), a La La Land Crafts die cut banner and a cute little sentiment from Amy R.

Obviously it wouldn't be a card by me without some sprinklings of Liquid Pearls and Stickles. I just can't not do it. I need to find a better way of organising my bottles, so if you have any suggestions.. hit me! :)

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Come and Get Us - Domestic Animals
- Emerald Faeries - Let's see a Banner

A lorra, lorra links in this post - you can tell my laptop was playing nice and running smooth when I typed this post! ;) Be sure to call in at the challenge blog and share your DIGITAL card with us. Thank you for stopping by today. xo

The girl is STYLIN'!!

Oh where to begin? Perhaps with an apology? Or perhaps I could just stop putting it off and get on with the rest of the post? Uh huh. I'll do that.

So aside from the fact I'm way late with my projects for the latest release over at The Greeting Farm, you guys will have already laid eyes on the gorgeous new Anya Styles, so..

Here are my offerings.

This girl is an absolute dream to colour, and that hair! BOY! Wanna know who I think nails it? Our very own Rachel - check out her Anya with the glossy black hair.. AH-mazing. I decided to give my first Anya Styles bright blonde hair to stand out against her biker chic clothes. She's soo stylin'!

My second Anya got coloured up to represent a little more of the girlie girl in her style. Pinks and yellows are my new pinks and greens. I love the combo - and papers from My Minds Eye make it all the more gorgeous. I'd like to say this card is a little back to front, in the sense that the white space on the image panel takes up a lot of the card - and I kinda like that. I've stamped the largest sentiment from the set over the bottom of the image in Brilliance ink (so crisp) and added a few banners, hearts and buttons to finish it off. It has been matted onto some mustard coloured Core-dinations cardstock and voila.

So there ya have it!! My late edition of Anya Styles. Don't forget there is a new stamp released each day up til November 1st - which is release day, and their will be a coinciding BLOG HOP you won't wanna miss out on.

Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm BLOG each day to see what goodies we've got for ya!! I'll be back on Monday with a new boy on the block! ;)

LOVES. xo

One image - Two cards.. and a POLLYCRAFT Update!

Halfway through the week aleady, how does it feel? I still can't wait till it's Friday! LOL. Today is a quick check in, to show you a couplea cards I made as part of a commission. BUT!! Before I get to that I want to fill you all in on the latest Pollycraft deets.

So, you guys know you still have a while to link your Pollycraft creations up to Paula's LINKY PARTY, right? If not head over to Paula's Blog now and join in!! You all know there is a closing down SALE happening right NOW over at the Pollycraft Shop don't you? If not click HERE to pick yourself a HEAP load of images up for BARGAIN prices! You can also pick up Paula's farewell freebie by visiting THIS POST over at her blog!! Be sure to give her a huge thankyou and massive, sloppy, cyber hugs - it's the least this amazing, kind and funny lady deserves after all she's given!!

The cute little house is from DigiStamp Boutique - New Home collection. I bought it ages ago, when one of my school friends moved into her own flat, and I haven't used it since. I'd love to live in a neighbour hood with houses that looked like that, all mismatched and different! :)

This first card has been pieced together on an embossed Kraft cardbase using papers from Kaisercraft Homemade collection which is easily a few years old now, but I still love the combo. I've added some Pumpkin Pie 1/8" taffeta ribbon from SU! around the main image portion of my card and doodled.

My second card uses the same image printed at the same size, although this time I've coloured it up to match my papers from Fancy Pants - It's the Little Things collection. This time round I've added some Pretty in Pink ribbon from SU! and doodled in the same coloured marker.

Thanks for stopping by today! :)

Tiddly Inks Pick Up Sticks

Okay, yesterday I might have told a little fib.. I think this is my fave image so far! LOL! I'ma end up saying this every day this week, aren't I?! Truth be told, I just love Wryn, and I don't think I'm alone in that. Am I now girls?!

Our new image today is for all those outdoorsy Wryns who like to go camping or play pick up sticks. I think she kinda looks a little more grown up, or is that just me?

Wryn - Pick up Sticks (sentiments included)

Christy also whipped up a little tent image to match too, head over to Tiddly Inks to see Arabella and Larissa using the whole set, like the pros they are! Here's my take on this new Wryn.

I've used some yummy papers from Kaisercraft - Homemade collection, and I've coloured Wryn using ProMarkers to match. I found those little wooden tiles while (trying to) tidy my stash the other night, and thought they fitted. So on they went. :) HA! :)

Todays freebie frame has been created by Larissa, so be sure to stop by her BLOG and pick yours up now. Remember, you gotta download yours directly from the designer, that way you can thank them personally. I think that's only fair! ;)

Over and out.
