Shiney Sparkles at LLLC!

It's time for some more Friday inspiration over at La La Land Crafts today.

Our lovely Debbie has chosen

SPARKLES AND BLING

This post coincides with my big sisters birthday, and this card just happens to have been made for her. Am I kind? Mhm!!

I've used the adorable Travel Marci, as my sister is always off on holiday or wishing she was off on holiday!!  Her favourite colour, ever, is ORANGE - so that features big on my card. I've coloured Marci with the usual ProMarkers (colours are listed on the LLLC Blog) to match papers from PaperMania and ribbon from The Ribbon Girl.

For the sparkle and bling I added a heap of Stickles and Liquid pearls which I seem to be using a lot of on my projects lately. This time round I used Pumpkin Stickles and Canaloupe? LP!!

Thanks for stopping by. Out. xo

Birds or Butterflies LLLC

Time for some.. Friday inspiration from the ladies over at La-La Land Crafts! :)

This weeks theme has been Birds and/or Butterflies. I really wanted to create something with a birdie. More specifically.. a birdie die cut with my Slice machine. I had a couple of really cute owls in mind.. but behold.. I couldn't find my Slice charger. Mhm. Typical. So I went with the old faithful punch. A punch from Martha Steward.. to create some butterflies.

Here are some details:

Stitched Scallops Border Die
Lily of the Valley Die

La-La Land Catch Up!

Evening guys! :) I'm stopping by with a little catch up post with my La-La Land Crafts projects from the last fortnight! :) I've had the most delicious Saturday I've had in a long while, and now I'm just taking the time to sit and chill for a while.

So, last week we had the theme of 'Special Lady' - so I decided to make a 21st birthday card for a girl I work with who turns.. well.. 21.. at the end of this month! :) I used the gorgeous Heart Balloon Marci and sat her on the Garden Bench! :) I added the 21 to her balloon in MS Word and added some colour with a matching ProMarker.

I die cut a slice of vellum using the gorgeous Bird Cage Die, which is *quite possibly.. my favouritest. Ever. to add something behind the circle sentiment. I went with a little nautical theme with the red, white and blue. I used a gorgeous paper pad from My Minds Eye Come Away With Me!! Gorgeous! I've added a bunch of WOC and Ribbon Girl goodness as well as some baby blue Liquid Pearls here and there. Oh, and that banner has been created using the little banner stamps from Whimsy Stamps. Fave!!

This week our theme was 'St. Patrick's Day', so naturally, I had to use Leprechaun Luka! :) I've coloured him with the usual ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and made a bright, spring card! He had to have ginger hair, right? I've coloured him up in greys and greens. I think he looks very fetching, and those stockings. Heck yes! LOL!!

I've die cut a few Lily of the Valley from vellum and added them behind the main image panel. I've kept the card pretty simple by just adding a slice of patterned paper and an embossed panel. I think the bright cardbase helps it all pop and the yellow glow around Luka ties the whole design together! :)

So that's me caught up with it all! :) I'ma hit FB and catch up there! Nighty. xo

No Flowers Allowed at LLLC

Here's another late post from me! Sorry guys. I'ma try and catch up now I actually have a working Blogger.

So yesterday we posted some new Friday Inspiration over at La-La Land Crafts Blog.

NO FLOWERS

Now, I know what you're thinking!! Some of the ladies almost died too, but trust me. It isn't that scary! ;)

I decided to use the new Ring Bearer Luka.

I also used two dies: String of Hearts Border Die and Bird Cage Die.

I decided to fill most of the space with IMAGE. A lot of the ladies decided to fill the spaces they'd normally fill with flowers with large die cuts and sentiments. It all worked out very well!! I've used very subtle colours, mint greens and greys, from First Editions Isabelle collection.

How perfect is that sentiment?! I love it! :)

Head over to the Inspiration Blog now and see what other non floral creations the ladies have got for ya! xo

LLLC Valentine's Release

Guess who's back? Back again?
Only ME on the La La Land Crafts Team!! Yeeeehaaa! ;)

I'm hitting it off with a bang by sharing some projects from the brand new VALENTINES RELEASE! There are four new stamps and three new dies, and they're all available in the LLLC Store NOW! Ahhh you guys, each and every one of these cuties makes my heart melt, and I hope they do yours too!!

So who's up first?! It's gotta be MARCI!!

This is the gorgeous Sweet Friends Marci. She has been coloured using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye and that gorgeous slice of Hambly print from my LLLC goodie bag! ;) Thankies, Irina!!

I've added a banner which I've die cut from vellum using the gorgeous new Hearts Banner Die and added some bling to the corners. Hmm, what else? I've added a couplea stripes of striped washi, some chit chat words from Tim Holtz and used the cut out hearts from the die and covered them with Christmas Stickles.

Her outfit and that little panda make me wanna die! I've stamped the sentiment onto a slice of Pure Poppy cardstock from SU! and laid it over the image just slighty. I added a pearl brad and a gemstone brad to either side.

Who's up next?! ;)

This handsome little fella and his pooch is Best Friends Luka, who has also been coloured using the standard ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I've used more Pure Poppy cardstock from SU! to match my My Minds Eye papers. This time the sentiment has been made into a flagged banner and I've used more of the same cardstock to die cut a border using the Heart Border Die and some embellishments using the Heart Treble Clef Die. :)

How's about that for ya? Head over to the La La Land Crafts Blog NOW to see what the other awesome ladies have came up with for ya to oogle over!! xo

It's Jasmine

Can you even believe it's JUNE.. already?! This year is totally flying past. It's funny - that thing we call time. We look upon our day to day lives like they are unchanging and they drag on, we cannot wait for the weekend to come around - wishing time away.. but then.. you look back and BAM!! freakin' MONTHS have passed you by. Funny.

So enough of all of that.. I've got some serious business to attend to. It's with a heavy heart that I write this.. it's gonna be my last post as a LLLC DT Member. Boooo!! I know, I know. My term was up, and I thought.. you know.. being the kind person I am.. *big grin* that I'd offer my DT place up to some other lucky crafter! I need to move out and beyond in terms of my own personal crafting and my crafting time.. I hope you can all understand that.

So the theme this week has been

INSPIRED BY A FAIRY TALE OR DISNEY STORY

So.. I made a tag.. which I hope doesn't really need any introductions into which DISNEY story I picked..

Now I ain't gonna lie.. Aladdin wasn't like my all time favourite - but HEY! Genie Marci is CA-YOOT.. and LLLC hasn't given us any lions yet! :)

Skin - Blush, Soft Peach, Rose Peach, Baby Pink
Hair - Cool Grey 3, 4, 5, Black
Reds - Firebrick, Rosewood, Burnt Umber, Warm Grey 5
Greens - Fresh Meadow, Marsh Green, Olive Green
Blues - Pastel Blue, Duck Egg, Turquoise
Gold - Mustard, Sunflower, Gold

Whipped up a few new colour combos in there - loving that red, and for once it matches perfectly with my patterned papers! LOL. I've made a note in my little combos book! ;)

I've used some delicious papers from Bo Bunny Serenity 6x6 paper pad - which was part of my OH so AWESOME DT package from Irina - that lady really knows how to make a girl happy!! *big grin* */LOVEx\* I've backed my kraft tag with that gorgeous polka dot pattern, punched some circles and a scalloped border, added some lace and boom - job done! I was gonna add a sentiment 'Make a wish' - but there wasn't enough room on the tag, or more like I couldn't make it small enough to work. Never mind.. you guys all know how to work a genie lamp - right? Heehee.

Okay, so. Over & OUT! Before I start waffling more and getting all sad about it. Rest assured that this is not the last LLLC creation you'll be seeing from me! HELL NO! I l-o-v-e these little characters!

Head over to the LLLC Blog NOW and see what the rest of Team Friday have rustled up for ya! It's all very fanciful!!

Spots and Stripes at LLLC

*waves good morning*

So by the time this post goes lives.. me and the boyfriend should *hopefully* be well on our way to Edinburgh Zoo!! Excited much!! Naturally I'll have this post scheduled as I'm host this week, so it should all go according to plan. Here's the deal..

We've some new inspiration for ya over at La-La Land Crafts in the form of..

SPOTS AND STRIPES

Probably my most fave criteria of all time. Give me spots or stripes.. or even better.. BOTH.. ANY day! :) Love them. So versatile, and I love that.

So I decided to merge two images for my card today..

Skin - Blush, Soft Peach, Rose Peach, Burnt Orange, Lavender, Baby Pink
Hair - Mare Hare, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cocoa
Orange - Peach, Mango, Bright Orange, Orange, Spice
Blue - Turquoise, Island Lagoon, Marine, Petrol Blue
Fence - Terracotta, Cocoa, Saddle Brown
Path - Sandstone, Nutmeg, Tan, Umber, Warm Grey 3-5
Grass - Aniseed, Chartreuse, Emerald

I stamped my Kraft cardbase using Hero Arts Polka Dots cling stamp using some Pumpkin Pie ink from SU! I then wrapped some orange bakers twine and tied it in a tiny bow off to the right. I tried to keep this card pretty flat, as I was going to be mailing it - so having the image centre stage makes doing that pretty easy. :) I punched some butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch and adhered them to the image panel. I then wrapped some washi tape on each side of the image to balance the weight of the sentiment and largest butterfly. Job done.

Be sure to stop by the inspiration blog to see what everyone else has for ya today! ;)

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
I <3 ProMarkers - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes
Bunny Zoe Crafts - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Clean and Simple

All Wired Up at LLLC

May? Already? I know. Time is FLYING, and guess what? This is my last month as a LLLC designer! *boooo* So I'm planning on making the most of these adorable images. This week we've got some brand new inspiration for ya in, in the form of.. wires.

ALL WIRED UP

Now, it may be a surprise to some of you.. but wire is probably the one thing I don't have in my stash. SO. I improvised. You can use any sort of metal, chain... wire.. LOL.. on your creation, so I've made what can only be called faux chain. :) Stroke of genius, if I do say so myself.. although it didn't quite turn out how I wanted. Grr.

This is Sitting Luka. Love this guy, don't ask what happened with his pants.. or his hat - musta been colouring in the dark. Or with my eyes shut. Or maybe I just need to practice more! Shame on me for thinking outside the box and tryna come up with some new colour combos! :/

Skin - Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Coral, Cinnamon
Greens - Grass, Emerald, Lush Green, Pink
Blues - Turquoise, Marine, Petrol Blue, Midnight Blue
Greys - Cool Grey 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Trousers - Mustard, Soft Khaki, Warm Grey 4

As usual I've coloured this guy with ProMarkers to match my patterned paper from My Minds Eye. I tried to create a little scene with my scraps. A wall with the chain hanging, the sky, the grass. You get the idea. I've added a sentiment from SU! and some vellum clouds cut with some PTI dies to break up that busy chevron.

Talking about DIES have you seen the BRAND NEW Exclusive Steel DIES!? If not, take a look - YOU'RE missing out if you haven't.

Pop over to the LLLC Inspiration Blog and see what the other teamies have made for ya to drool over on this miserable, grey Friday morning.
