Peace, Love and Joy

Dawwwwhhh, not HUSKIES!

'Cheeeaa. I loves them. This is one of my favourite images from all of my Christmas cards this year!

This is from a topper sheet produced by The Hobby House from Mo Manning.

I kept it suuuuuuper simple and only added a sentiment from Amy R Stamps and a strip of punched scalloped paper.

Hope you likey. Thanks for stopping by. xo

Christmas Notes

So, Christmas time. The run up to Christmas. All that.

IT'S NEARLY HERE!! I hope you've got your Christmas shopping sorted.. or mostly sorted.

I know I sure haven't. *cough* - I always run late! Hah!!

So, if you're like me.. you gotta get yourself a lotta lists written out, right?!

This notebook would be perfect!!

I used the adorable Cocoa Wishes Wryn from Tiddly Inks and coloured her up using my ProMarkers.

I used some older papers from a Authentique paper pack, some Thickers and some glittery snowflakes stickers which I've hoarded for forever.. not anymore. :)

Hope you likey! xo

Warmest Winter Wishes

Morning guys! :) I know this post is long overdue, but I thought I'd stop by with a Christmas card I've whipped up using an image from the latest Time for Tea Designs November release!

Ready?

Is she not the sweetest thing ever?! This is Catching Snowflakes which is available to buy from the Time for Tea Designs Etsy Shop HERE. I love her cable knitted hat (I think that's right?) and those little mittens she's wearing. So cute. I coloured her up with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers but kept the colours pretty simple as I knew I wanted to use this busy paper from an older Basic Grey pack on the card.

I added a postage stamp edge around the image panel, an ickle Christmas tree which I had jazzed up with some Distress Stain, Stickles and liquid pearls, a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps and a sentiment from Amy R Stamps. :)

Image - Time for Tea Designs
Sentiment - Whimsy Stamps, Amy R Stamps
Inks - Versamagic - Oasis Green, Memento - Rhubarb Stalk
Papers - Basic Grey
Dies - Whimsy, Xcut, Dee's Distinctively, My Favorite Things
Ribbon - The Ribbon Girl
Embellishments - Bo Bunny, Hobby House, Stickles, Liquid Pearls

I've added this little list as I've had a few questions about the papers and dies I've been using lately. I hope this comes in useful for some of you. :)

Thanks for stopping by today! xo

Hearty Hello

Afternoon everyone - thank you for stopping by today for my My Mum's Craft Shop so late on in the day.

I'm having some seeeerious technological issues lately. My poor laptop is on it's way out me thinks. The laptop itself is fine, but my screen keeps turning itself off and flickering. It seems to be having a good day today.. so we'll so how long it takes me to type this blog post up. Fingers crossed all goes well and I'll get a few more scheduled! :)

So!! It's a free week over at My Mum's Craft Shop so I decided to use some Tiddly Inks goodness! :)

I used the adorable Fairy Heartfelt along side one of the sentiments.
I coloured her up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers - I kept the background very simple, but looking back I wish I had gone all out with hills and sky (I didn't know I was going to be using her on a calendar easel card) - next time! :)

I cut up a bunch of papers from My Minds Eye Collectable - Memorable collection (I only have a few slices of this paper left, it seriously pleases me when I actually start to use up a paper pack - makes more room for new stuff, right? HAH!)

I wanted to layer up my die cut oval onto a scalloped shape - but the only one I had was huuuuuuuge, so instead I pulled out my Bo Bunny Doilies which I had yet to break out!! Perfect for the job. I cut a chunk out the middle to make sure it fit around my oval nicely.

I finished the design off with some Prima flowers and Hobby House Rhinestones in Jade Green. Just delicious. Oh, and I, once again, used the Tonic Edger Punch 2 to create a mat beneath my floral paper.

Phew, that only took 20 minutes or so! LOL. My boyfriend spent Tuesday night tryna sort it out for me, but I don't think it's gonna hold up. Maybe if I ask Santa for a laptop with my sweetest voice?! Paaahahah!! Don't make me laugh - I've been a terribly naughty girl and will not be receieving anything off Santa this year.

Again, thank you for stopping by. Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop blog for daily inspiration! xo

Peace, Prosperity and Joy

You know when you make a card, and you set it aside to photograph.. then you photograph it.. and lay it aside again.. and then when the time comes where you actually want it.. you can never find it?!

Oh great - so it only ever happens to me then?! YOU ALL FIB!!

THAT is EXACTLY what happened with this card.. and I'm pretty sad about it.. because I love it so. Hopefully it'll turn up soon.. before Christmas.. so I can actually use it.

Too pretty, I love the duck egg blue and the vibrant red together. There's something I always find appealing about the mixing up of the 'traditional' Christmas colours. Don't get me wrong, I love reds and greens and golds, but once in a while it's nice to change things up a little.

.. so that's exactly what I done with this card. I started off with the red and silver, but thought it might be different to add some duck egg in the form of some seam binding, satin ribbon and little glittery stars.

None Traditional Christmas at MMCS

Good morning!! I'm scheduling this on Tuesday night, and after yesterdays little snow flurries, I'm hoping to awaken to a white world at 6am tomorrow!! Fingers crossed.

So it's my turn to share some inspiration for My Mum's Craft Shop. This week we're showing off our non-traditional Christmas cards, using colours you wouldn't necessarily think of to use on a Christmas creation.

I kept my card clean and sweet, with minimal supplies - perfect for mass production.

I used the gorgeous snowflake from MFT - Snowflake Splendor and matching die, alongside some yummy papers from Bazzill - Nordic Pine.

A very short and sweet post from me today. I wanna get to bed at a reasonable time! ;)

Tuesday 19 November 2013

Check it OUT!!

Gaahhh!! Apologies for such a late post guys. What am I like?! Here's me thinking I had this all typed, scheduled and ready to go this morning. How wrong was I? I've only just got around to typing this up because my laptop has started playing games with me.

Sometimes the screen comes on and it's fine. Sometimes the screen comes on and then goes really, REALLY dark all of it's own accord. Meh.

So it looks like I'll be using my laptop on my laptops terms, and not when it convinient for me.. hah! That's until I can save up for a new one, which will definitely not be until next year now.

First world problems, huh?

ONWARDS!

Today it was time for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers s, and our lovely Lisa wants us all to 'CHECK IT OUT' - yip!!

We wanna see some checks, plaids or gingham on your creation!! Go crazy with those checks!!

Here's what I came up with using a waaaay older stamp from the discontinued Sugar Nellie line by Krista Smith for Funky Kits.

I decided to try my hand at 'no line' stamping again. I used Angel Pink ink and stamped onto Neenah cardstock. I coloured with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye and added my own hand drawn background with some hills, a sunset and some big poofy clouds. :)

Here's a close up of the beauty from Sugar Nellie..

So here is my card in full - pretty busy, I know. Looking back, I really wish I'd left a lot of the embellishment off and let that image panel speak for itself. Either that or make the card bigger - which I wasn't really willing to do.. 6x6 still scares the crap out of me! LOL!

I added a banner and a calendar with some Whimsy Stamps, die cut the 18 with my little Slice machine and pieced little Petal Lu flowers, liquid pearls and Stickles here and there.

After Christmas cards, reds and greens and snowy scenes are out of the way with, I'll definitely get back to practicing my no lines colouring as well as my backgrounds, but for now all of that is on hold. Christmas takes priority for us card makers, right? :)

So, that's all from me for tonight. Let's see if I can find a few challenges to enter this card into:
- Craft-Dee-Bowz - Anything Goes
- Oh La La Creations - Real or Faux Stitching
- Paula Holifield Crafts - Sparkle and Shine

Thank you so much for stopping by. Don't forget to stop by the PASSION FOR PROMARKERS BLOG and join in with our new challenge!!
Be sure to shout if you have any questions! :) xo

Forever..

Hump day already, friends! Can I get a yipppeeee? LOL!!

Weekends are something I look forward to all week long and making it to Wednesday means that we're half way there!!

So as regulars to my blog will know, Wednesdays over at Cartolinas are set aside for some My Mum's Craft shop inspiration! :) Are you ready? Some of you are gonna fall on the floor once you see what I've created.

It so isn't me.

Soooo CAS, I can't quite believe it myself. I've kept it out on my desk, so whenever I walk past I can have a peak and say to myself, yip.. you definitely made that. You crazy lady.

So, with it's simplicity is a super simple supply list. I used two stamp sets from Paper Smooches.

Why not give this a go yourself? Paper Smooches stamps are absolutely perfect for this kinda thing. A quick and easy card, but just as gorgeous and well received as something which could take you hours!

Peace. xo

Christmas Candy Canes

Here's some more CAS card designs, following on from my earlier posts featuring Boofle.

Pretty self explanatory really. I used a candy cane stamp from SU and some Real Red ink. Oh, and the matching dies.

Bosh.

Thank youuu for stopping by. xo

MMCS and Little Miss Muffet Mash Up

A frosty good morning to ya from the North East of England. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you're here to take part in the biggest hop in the blog-o-sphere right now!?

I hope you've arrived here from the gorgeous Kitty's blog - if not, head back to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog to get started.

So, incase you didn't already know My Mum's Craft Shop are now carrying Little Miss Muffet Stamps, and are currently the only retailer in the UK to do so.

So, I decided to use the adorable Celeste Amberglow - Heartstrings. She's super cute. I love the layers in her dress and that big bow in her hair. Adorable!! She lends herself so well to paper piecing and layering up too - the possibilities are endless!

I coloured her up using my old faithful ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I had this paper from My Mind's Eye Collectable, Memorable Collection in my mind when I was colouring her up, so tried to tie in the mint greens, lime greens and pinks into her outfit.

I used a bunch of stamps to create my sentiment. I tried to layer up a lot of my paper scraps from my paper pack and I added a tonne of brads, rhinestones and dots of Stickles to tie everything together. I cannot complete a project without them lately!!

So, as is standard, I know you guys are expecting prizes from us for begging for comments.

Winter Birthdays at MMCS

This week we're showing off products from My Mum's Craft Shop you could use to create a winter birthday project!

I decided to use my newest My Favorite Things purchase -

You all know nothing stays in stock for very long - everyone loves the MFT releases. If you're ever after anything in particular, just get in touch with Kitty and she will be more than helpful.

I stamped and die cut the two largest snowflakes in pink chalk ink. I silver embossed the sentiment and I used the smaller cluster of three snowflakes with Versamark ink on my Kraft cardbase.

Such a versatile set, I can see I will be getting a LOT more use from this one!!

xx

It's Geek Time

Yipppeee, time for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers.

Today, 'tis me, myself, who has came up with the challenge criteria this time round - so prepare to have me bombard your blog with comments if you decide to join in with the challenge!! ;)

IT'S GEEK TIME.

I wanna see those images you've got with glasses!! We all love a spectacled face, right? Use your imagination. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Naturally, with it gradually getting closer and closer to the big C, I had to use a Christmas image, right? This older stamp is from the Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy line by Krista Smith.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but this may well be the first time I've even coloured up this stamp. Very naughty!!
This is what these challenges are for though - to push your supplies, your techniques and your designs!!

If you're after even more inspiration, be sure to stop by the Passion for ProMarkers blog where you can see what other designs the talented girls have come up with using an image with glasses, as well as checking out what prizes are up for grabs if you're a winner!!

I used some older papers from My Minds Eye. I bought them at the end of last Christmas and never got the chance to use them. Here's their moment to shine.

I used sentiments from Whimsy Stamps and Amy R sentiments. I added a bunch of WOC goodness, some ribbon and crochet trim from The Ribbon Girl, a snowman charm and a jingle bell!!

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:

Gotta Loooove Boofle

The closer it gets to Christmas, the more I love Boofle!!

These cards were posted in my Market Night album on my Facebook page last month and they were a huge success. I think everyone loves this little guy.

I decided to keep these cards very clean and simple, which isn't a problem when you have a nice big teddy bear to take up the card front!

I hope you've enjoyed this short and sweet post packed with a load of cards for ya.
I hope it gives you some ideas of some CAS Christmas cards you could create.

My Mum's Craft Shop Do Autumnal Colours

Good morning everyone. A nip and a punch for the first of the month.

That aside, I hope you're all toasty and ready for the Wednesday ahead.

I embellished the card using ribbon, paper flowers, buttons and rhinestones.

My card base is a Kraft card base from Craft UK. Love these card blanks. I usually make my own card bases, but for speed and convenience, these work a treat!

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop BLOG and take part in the challenge!!

I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
