Come Fly with Me

A bright and breezy morning to you all!!

I awoke angered this morning, to the sound of what I thought was rain.
Turns out it was just my neighbours garden sprinkler. Hehe.

My mood can only improve from here on out! We'll see! :P

Before I get stuck into todays post, I wanna say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who joined in with our anniversary challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers last week. You guys are the bestest! The winners are in for some absolute treats! Be sure to stop by the blog later on today to see if you've won!!

Today, we have a new challenge.

Our wonderful Marie wants you to

COME FLY WITH ME

You can interpret this weeks theme any way you wish. Fairies, transport with wings, birds, bees. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

For my card, I used a fund raiser image from Simply Betty Stamps. You can find her awesome group over on FB!

I coloured this cutie up in a time before I was really in the habit of writing my colour combos down, so I'm sorry, but I can't give you any details this time round!

I can't wait to have a scroll through everyone's entries!

HAVE FUN! xo

Purrrfect!

Good morning guys! :) Thank you for stopping by today.

I have a cute little Tiddly Inks creation to share with you all for the new challenge over at

The wonderful Lisa wants to see us making tags, or using tags on our projects this week! Easy, peasy right?! No excuse not to join in.. ;)

This week, we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles, and one lucky winner will recieve TWO digi images!! Need any more reasons to join? How's about some inspiration..

I used the gorgeous Purfect Birthday Wryn! I adore this little character, and now even more so, what with her being paired with a little cat hat and balloon!! PURFECT indeed!!

I coloured her up using my beloved pens, and paired her with some papers from My Minds Eye. I die cut a MFT tag, along with some cardstock layers and smooshed it all together. For embellishment I tied a tiny little pink organza bow and put together a little vellum flower, before going all out with rhinestones, liquid pearls and stickles. Job done.

Be sure to head over to the blog for more inspiration and to join in with this weeks challenge! xo

Betty Rose

Good afternoon guys! Apologies for the lateness of my post.

I was at work, at stock take, at hell on earth last night. I didn't get in till late and all I wanted to do was eat and sleep! ..but I'm back in the room.

It's Tuesday, and that can only mean one thing! A new challenge over at

Our lovely Julie has set us a challenge of

BLUE SKIES

Julie would love to see you use shades of blue on your project! Be sure to head over to the blog to make sure you're adhering to the requirements.

Here's my take on the challenge.

I used the GORGEOUS Betty Rose from Simply Betty Stamps. I am soooo late to the party with these stamps. Each one I colour up, I'm like.. where have these been all my life? They're beauties!

I need a lot more practice with hair, but other than that I am over the moon with how this beauty turned out! I used a mixture of blues and greys to colour up her rose dress. I went a little OTT with the paper flowers and liquid pearls, but I think I still like how it turned out!

Up for grabs for one lucky winner is is a beautiful stamp set called Changing Birdhouse from Little Claire Designs

Be sure to stop by the BLOG and join in! Thank you for stopping by today. xo

You're the best!!

Good morning you lovely lot!

I'm checking in with you this morning with some My Mum's Craft Shop inspiration. Using a bunch of Lawn Fawn goodies - which Kitty will have back in stock ASAP! You don't wanna miss out. Keep your eyes peeled for our newsletter dropping into your inbox.

I used the THANKS DIE from Lawn Fawn to create my own chipboard word. I die cut the thanks with some navy blue cardstock 4-5 times and layered them up.

I then stamped a sentiment from Thank You Tags before cutting it with a die from Blueprints 20 from MFT and layering it over a tag cut using another Lawn Fawn die.

As a little whimsy, I stamped coloured and die cut a little critter from Monster Mash stamp set and matching die and tucked it behind the tag.

That's about it. Oh, and my papers are old My Minds Eye!

Thank you for stopping by today! xo

3D it LARGE!

Monday, Monday! This is my last week at work before my last week off for the year! I do suffer such a hard life! LOL!!

I'm back with you all to share another commission with you all.

This card pushed me outside my comfort zone just a teeny weeny bit! I decided I would try and 3D the image! The photos are crap (as a result of my poooor photography skills), and it doesn't really manage to show how much dimension I managed to achieve with some fussy cutting, paper curling and a ton of silicone glue.

I used papers from My Minds Eye - bright and colourful was order of the day - I added a whole bunch of orange and pink goodness.

This design is *hopefully* going to live in a shadow box, so I made sure to really layer all of the elements up. For example, I created a double bow, added a ticket and then the age on top of the knot. I tucked in a bunch of paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to the little gaps after I had stitched a few buttons to the design here and there.

I love these kinda cards, with everything going on for a few reasons. 1. I get to spend loads of time faffing (my favourite bit) 2. I get to use up a tonne of stash (which I am slowly getting better at) and 3. I *hope* it sets my cards aside from the rest, from the embellishments I choose to how I lay them out on the card.

This is definitely something I'd like to try again. It's a lot more time consuming, and for a girl who takes a good few hours to just colour a standard flat image, that's a tall order - but I love how it turned out!

I'd love to enter this card into these challenges:
- Crafting at the Weekend - Anything Goes
- Alphabet Challenge - P for Pretty Petals
- Wags 'n Whiskers - For the Girls
Kenny K - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by. xo

Hey, Sugar

It's been a long time coming, but eventually my Sugar and Spice project has made it to my blog! Hah. Only a week late.. sorry boss lady.

I decided to colour up the gorgeous Sugar in bold, bright colours to match my papers from My Minds Eye. I gave her bright blonde hair and coloured her top pink.. not my usual thing but I really love how she turned out.

I think it might have something to do with the usual style of the image! You can find all of these digis over at That Craft Place LTD on Etsy, along side a bunch more awesome images from different artists.

I die cut a bunch of stuff, including the banner, heart and speech bubble before going all out with buttons, brads and Stickles to finish the design off.

I can't wait to get the time to colour up more of these images. xo

Hey Buddy

Good moooorning guys! :) Who's getting ready to get their little ones packed off to school soon? Luckily I have nothing like that to worry about. I struggle, most mornings, to get my own butt outta bed and ready for work.. I'd have no chance tryna get a little one ready too. Nuuuh, uh!!

So to celebrate (because I know everyone will be breathings a little sigh of relief once they've had peace and quiet restored) we've got a brand new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers to incorporate this theme of..

BACK TO SCHOOL

I knew straight away who I needed to use, and it's this little guy from Pollycraft. Brains! I got him in the Big Bundle Paula released before announcing she was shutting her little store for good. Sad times.. but Pollycraft lives on in the card making world through Little Miss Muffet Stamps too!!

I coloured this little cutie up using my ProMarkers! :) I used some papers from My Minds Eye (a pack which I am coming to the end of, yipppeee!!) I added a couple speech bubbles which I stamped and embossed with a sentiment and a star from Paper Smooches.

You might have fallen off your seat when you first spotted this card, well I hope you've righted yourself. I know it's super simple for me, with hardly any froofroo. I don't know what came over me. I stitched the two little buttons, added a few brads and then.. once I started laying sequins and what have you onto the panel, it just wasn't working for me. So I left it. I kinda like how clean (for me) it looks, but I just feel sorry for all of the embellishments sitting in my drawers that are still screaming to be used on every. single. card.

Anywho. Be sure to head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog to check out the girls awesome inspiration for this weeks challenge. Thanks for stopping by today. xo

10th Anniversary

There has been a lot of weddings and anniversaries happening lately, and I love it. One of my favourite cards to design are wedding and anniversary cards. BOOM!

I got a request off a lovely lady to create a card based on her friends favourite artist Doug Hyde. The couple who've been together 10 years (can we have an aahhhh *aaahhhh*) love this artists work and the lady commissioning the card provided me with a bunch of Doug Hydes work. I eventually went with this design, as it spoke to me the most.

http://www.doughyde.com/collections/limited-editions/feed/1/ZHYD210

I wanted to create a card using this image as my inspiration. Here's what I came up with. I gotta say, I LOVED creating this card. Like LOVED! I didn't wanna stop. It was such a fun process from start to finish.. and because of this card I've starting pinning more 'inspiration' pictures on Pinterest for the times when my mojo is running a little dry.. which doesn't happen often.. but when it happens.. it's bad.

I die cut a whole bunch of hearts (I discovered I wasn't short of heart dies), inked the edges and curled them before I laid them on the card in a pleasing wreath shape. I then used silicone glue to adhere them so as not to lose the dimension.

I added a large sentiment panel which I stamped and silver embossed using Lawn Fawn alpha stamps and added it to a black scalloped oval before adding it to the centre of the wreath.

To tie everything together I added a few black embellishments, including some Black Onyx Liquid Pearls (which I only recently got *yipppeee* - I love the stuff), some hearts and a couple brads and buttons, you know, the usual. I coulda kept going with sequins and all that jazz, but I didn't wanna take away from the hearts, which I also sprayed with London Fog Fireworks.

I wish the couple another 10 happy years together! :) Thanks for stopping by today guys, I hope this card has provided you with some inspiration to look at stuff differently. xo

First Day

Hey guys! :) Some Tiddly Inks goodness for ya today. This is the adorable Wryn, sitting a top a pile of books.

One of my lovely regulars wanted a card to give to her little girl for her first day of school and this image was perfect. She also requested butterflies and books and a whole load of pink. Here's what I came up with.

I used some papers from My Minds Eye, some cardstock from Hero Arts and Bazzill and went to work decorating the card front.

I used some Lawn Fawn alphas to create the custom sentiment. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in Rose Bud ink onto some more of the My Minds Eye patterned paper.

I cut some butterflies on my Cameo and added some Distress Inks in matching colours to create a watercolour look to them. I then added them around the card, including one on top of the knot with a button threaded through.

As for the rest of the card I added my usual buttons and liquid pearls as well as raiding my stash of Wild Orchid Craft flowers (which have sat neglected for a while).

For a girl who doesn't really like pink, I always love the cards I make using the colour! LOL! Thanks for stopping by guys. xo

Best Friends

Good morning guys! :) You're getting a post typed up in the moment this morning, there's a novelty. I quite like this off work lark! Although I'm not really managing to squeeze in much craft time, I'm still having a ball. It's just a treat to have a lie in past 6am! Hah.

So here's a little ickle card from me using some Mama Elephant goodness.

I coloured my little bunnies up with ProMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye Now and Then Dorothy. I created a simple little frame with some circle dies and added my bunnies to the front. I stamped a sentiment in MFT Hybrid Ink - Cotton Candy and added it to the bottom of the design.

As for embellishments I raided my little £1 MMCS Embellishments box. I added a Resin Daisy Flower, a Medium Flower Button and a clear coloured gem. I then rediscovered some die cut sequins I had cut when I first for my MFT Die-namics Sequins die.

I hope you like my mini bang of colour this morning. Happy hump day! xo

Button It!

Good morning guys! :) This blog post is gonna be a total chore to type up.. I think I've busted my space bar.. it didn't take long did it? Meh. Onwards.

It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers this week! Team 1 are giving Lisa loads of BUTTONS.

Just one of my favourite things!

This week we wanna see BUTTONS!
This could be good old fashioned buttons, an image that includes buttons, button die cuts.. go crazy. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

We're being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs. I chose the ever so glam Bubble Bath Sassy which my teamy Coops also used, and rocked!

I coloured her up to be a red head, just as something a little different. I gave her pink bubbles, which I ended up blinging up with time AB gems and Stickles. I really did add depth to the white bath tub with my Ice Grey PMs, but it really doesn't show up great in the photos. Perhaps I need to work on my editing skills.

Anywho, with the pink bubbles I gave the posh free standing tub some gold feet to match my papers from My Minds Eye (yet another pad I'm close to the end of) before adding a whole bunch of BUTTONS and other delicious embellishments like brads, sequins and liquid pearls.

I added some very pink stitch grosgrain ribbon, and tied a little comb charm around the knot. To finish this card off I added a sentiment from LOTV and bam. Jobs a good'n.

Thanks for stopping by today guys. Be sure to stop by the Passion for ProMarkers BLOG and join in with us.. I know you all have buttons somewhere you gotta use. xo

YAY! It's your BIRTHDAY!

Morning guys! July is almost through, can you believe it?!

It's a nip and a punch for the first of the month, what is it for the last day?! LOL!

I'm popping in to share some My Mum's Craft Shop inspiration with you all today. This weeks theme is KIDS BIRTHDAYS

Little kids birthday cards are always fun to create. There are a bunch of little kids images out there, it was hard to choose!!

In the end I went up with The Hobby House Toppers - When I Grow Up.

I LOVE her chubby little legs and the shoes she's pinched from her mam!

I stamped a couple sentiments from Amy R - Great Birthday Greetings and die cut them with some circle dies. I added them to my card and built up my embellishments around them.

I added a couple buttons, liquid pearls, stickles and some Rhinestone Hearts to finish up this card. I'm all about the froofroo for finishing touches.

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to pop by the blog for daily inspiration from the awesome DT girls! xo

Gamer Cuz

I'm back again with another gamer card! You guys always compliment me when I create boy and male cards, so here's another one for you to hopefully draw some inspiration from.

I created this card for my little (or not so little anymore) cousin who has his 12th birthday earlier this month. As soon as I seen this image released over at Saturated Canary I just knew I had to have it! He's gonna come in so useful, I just know it.

I've been creating a couple gate fold cards recently, and it's gotten me outta a 6x6 square rut, so this time I decided to try a.. whatever this kinda card is called? The front panel has been folded in half back on itself and the image panel now completes the other half of the front of the card. I've made that sound so super technical, but really, it's super simple.

I used papers from My Mind's Eye, a bunch of Lawn Fawn stamps and some Cameo cuts.

Buttons, brads, pearls and stickles finish this card off. xo

Gamer Guy

Happy Friday, guys!

I'm popping in to share one of my latest commissions for a young lad who turned 16 earlier in the month. He is mad into his xBox, so this image from Kenny K was perfect.

I coloured him up to match my papers from My Minds Eye. I roughed the edges of the papers and layered them onto some black and then yellow cardstock.

I added some large ric rac which I attached with mini staples which I also used to keep my curled paper in place. I added some die cut yellow stars which I added some black sparkle embossing paste to through a star stencil.

I cut a large 16 on my cameo, hand stamped and embossed the sentiment and die cut with a speech bubble die and added all of the elements to the card. As finishing touches I added my usual buttons, brads and liquid pearls.

Job done. :)

Vintage Truck Style-e

Yoohooo!

Two more days until the WEEEEKEEEEND!! What do you have planned? After feeling super guilty about not going to the boat last weekend.. you can probably guess what me and the boy will be doing! Joy! LOL!!

So today I'm popping by to share the card I created for Mother Goose to give to her boyfriend for his.. birthday.. earlier in the month.

I used an image from Tiddly Inks that was PERFECT for this card. I changed the outline to green to match my papers from My Minds Eye. I tried a different fold for this card, and kinda like how it turned out! :) Just something a little different.

I eased off on the embellishments a little, and only added two buttons..heehee.

I added a whole load of kraft cardstock, guys gotta love that, right?! That's all I got for ya today. Thank you for stopping by. xo

Lollipop's Notes

Afternoon guys! :) I'm back with a super quick post to share another recent notebook commission with you all. I used the gorgeous Wryn from Tiddly Inks and coloured her to match my papers from a My Minds Eye paper pack.

I added Lollipop's Notes to a Paper Smooches banner, then added some yummy ribbon, lace trim, and a whole bunch of the usual froofroo. How'd you like it?!
I LOVE the combo of orange, lime and aqua. So pretty. :)

Enjoy the rest of your Monday - I'm off to play with my new phone. xo

Valentine's Tia

Today I'm back with ya to share a Some Odd Girl project (bet'cha thought it was gonna be another Tiddly Inks creation, didn't ya) that was part of an order for a lovely newbie over at my page.

I wanted to use up some more of an older My Mind's Eye paper pack, and the colours the lady was after made this the perfect match. It let me practice my pastel colouring a little more too. Light pink, lilac with a touch of grey. Perfect.

I wanted to make sure that the sentiment stood out, so I stamped it in a dark grey onto a cream coloured patterned paper from the MME pack. I then cut each line with my trimmer and adhered them to the card using silicone glue at slightly jaunty angles.

I added a large 2 that I cut on my cameo, a chunky twill stripe bow, some Petal Lu goodness, a bunch of Wild Orchid Craft rhinestone brads, Doodlebug brads and sequins, and some buttons from my stash.

I LOVE that little flower paper from MME. It was the last sheet I had.. and would ya looka' that!! I used it up. ;) I hope you likey. xo

Wedding Wishes

Can't believe it's taken me so long to get around to blogging this card. It just kept getting lost (weird) in the masses of photos (which I've already accumulated on this new laptop.. another thing I said I didn't want happening *mental note* - must buy external hard drive)

I coloured them couple in black, white, blue and yellow to match my papers from My Mind's Eye.

This was a commission for a lovely lady who wanted a special card to give to her friends for their wedding. I wanted to add a lot of froo froo with it being a wedding card. So I started with the die cuts. I added a bird cage from La La Land Crafts, and an XCut heart. I then added the sentiment from Lawn Fawn and the date of the wedding.

As for the rest of the embellishments, I added a gorgeous spray of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some petrol blue organza ribbon and a bunch of pearls, rhinestones, Stickles and Doodlebug brads.

Such a pretty image, I can tell I am going to enjoy colouring these cuties up every time.

Enjoy your Saturday, whatever you're up to. :) xx

A Little Something..

Morning guys! Seven months into 2014.. how do you feel about that? LOL! I know how I feel.. exhaused - it's zoomed by super fast! When I look back and think about everything that has happened so far this year, it's scary - it feels like everything has blurred into one!

It won't be long until I force myself to start on some Christmas designs. To be honest, I don't know why I keep putting it off. I think it's mainly because I don't want to admit that it's actually going to be happening.. sooner than we think.

ONWARDS! Today marks the first of the month, which means we have a brand new challenge for ya over at My Mum's Craft Shop. This month we wanna see..

BRIGHT COLOURS

My Favorite Things - Wonky Scallop Border

All of the supplies listed above can be found over at My Mum's Craft Shop.

This is the first Stamping Bella stamp I have bought and coloured up.. why did I wait for so long?! I love this girl! ..and it's unusual to find stamps that are from the back - saves colouring up a face for a change, right?

I stamped and embossed the sentiment that comes with the Stamping Bella image and added it to a die cut tag from MTF. I added a tonne of froo froo, including buttons from the £1 embellishment packs, Doodlebug sequins and a bunch of liquid pearls.

I tried something a little different with my bow. I used some waaay old ribbon that I've had since I started crafting (the colour matched perfectly, and it certainly is bright) and layered some bows up. I first created a bow with four loops and then a smaller bow with two loops, squidged them together and adhered them to the card with a ribbon across the knot. :) I kinda like how it looks, but I think I need some more practice on layering them.

That's all I got for ya today. Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop blog to see what my awesome teamies have whipped up for the BRIGHT COLOURS challenge this month. xo

Gotta Love Wryn!!

Morning guys! :) Not long ago I made a promise to myself to keep my blog up to date with my recent commissions, so this is me keeping up an effort with that.

This is a commission from earlier on in the month for a lovely regular who wanted a thank you card that her daughter could give. The brief was pretty much.. apples. I had to run with it! ;)

I used the gorgeous Wryn - School Girl from Tiddly Inks. I coloured her up using my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from a waaay older My Mind's Eye pack. I thought the red and green of the papers would match nicely with the apple theme.

I cut the apples with my Cameo, die cut some banners using Spellbinders dies, added a bunch of froofroo, layers, ribbon, web, rhinestones, sequins, liquid pearls and BAM the job was a good'n.

I get asked a tonne how I create my sentiments. Lately I have been using this Lawn Fawn alpha stamp set like crazy, it's called Milos ABC's and is the PERFECT size for cards, and it fits a bunch of my dies too, like the one above from Xcut.

PSSST!! While you're here.. LOOKIE!!

COMING SOON AT THAT CRAFT PLACE!

That's all I got for ya today. I hope you likey! ;) xo
