Pollycraft Blog Hop

**WELCOME TO THE ROCKIN' RELEASE BLOG HOP FROM POLLYCRAFT**

I hope you are all as excited as me!! The team have been busy creating projects with these awesome new images for weeks!! We've been sitting on pins and needles this WHOLE time and we're ready to burst and show you what we've got!!

First of all I wanna let you know that each team member will be having a little mini giveaway with the image they have used on their project for the hop. All you gotta do is leave a comment and place the blog hop logo in your sidebar, and a random winner will be picked from each blog and announced on Monday with the new challenge post. Got it? :)

So.. if you've arrived here from Cazza's Blog you're on the right track. If not.. start HERE back at Cazza's Blog to get you started - you won't wanna miss ANYone out!!

As soon as Paula showed us the new Lunas I almost DIED!! I had to get them printed out and coloured up straight away. You might recognise this card I'm about to show you from the Blog Hop Logo..

INTRODUCING..
LUNA BITTERFROST 'DARE TO BE DIFFERENT' COLLECTION
**GUITARS ROCK**
All of the images from this hop will be released on Monday 29th August over at Pollycraft. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Check out her PINK hair and the whole overall general PINKness of the card. You like? I think I do! :) A couplea weeks ago - it seems like forever ago now - I was trying out some new colour combos and I thought hell, this rock chick needs some funky hair!! So I coloured this image to match some ooold papers from My Minds Eye - Oh La La for Her collection and ran with the whole pink theme.

I designed the layout as I went as I couldn't find a sketch I was feeling at the time. I have added a slice of patterned paper at a jaunty angle which I really like and an embossed strip near the bottom which I have wound some ribbon from The Ribbon Girl around and added a cute little bow.

I added some light blue chalk from Dovecraft around the outside of the image to make it pop and cut it out leaving a border big enough for a sentiment and some little stars dotted about. All stamps are from Papertrey Ink - Star Prints collection stamped in SU! Pretty in Pink.

I have distressed and doodled all edges with Distress Ink and a brown fineliner. I also added some Star Dust Stickles around the outside of the piece with my image on. For some extra embellishment I have added some WOC goodness and some Prima pearls and gems.

Here is a shot at the inside of the card. It's sort of a simpler version of the front with the same star pattern down the right hand side which you can't see all the well on the front. Again I have distressed and doodled all edges and added the same sentiment!

DON'T FORGET!!
All you gotta do to win this rock chick is leave a comment and place the blog hop logo on your sidebar.. then a winner will be drawn ready for my challenge post on Monday 29/08.

I'm now going to send you over to Mary J's Blog to continue with the hop!! I hope you have a great time and enjoy the ride!! :)

Simply Sassy Christmas Blog Hop

Hey Sassy Fans!! So glad you could stop by today, and get a taster of some of the sneaks from the new Christmas release for Simply Sassy. The three girls we've been teasing you with through the week are just gorgeous aren't they?! Well now you have the chance to meet all six of them! We have them on show today through til Monday (midnight GMT) and the whole set will be available at Funky Kits from TODAY.

Now, if you've arrived here from Autumn's blog you're on the right track, if not, head back over to the Sassy Blog and get a look at the blog list. That way you know where you need to be heading! :)

I would like to introduce you too.. CHRISTMAS KISSES.. Come onnnn!! If these beauties aren't enough to make you start your Christmas cards now, I don't know what will cut it!

Look at her hair, for goodness sake. I wish my colouring could do it more justice. I have coloured her hair and skin using Copics and the rest has been colouring using PM's and a little touch of paper piecing. I have paired her up with some Christmas paper from a line by Cosmo Cricket - Mittens Weather collection. I love the unusual colours in this collection, the baby blues and purple and lilacs. Perfect for that little something different.

I know what you're thinking.. you haven't fussy cut her out Lou.. well, you're probably about as shocked as I am. I forced myself to just cut her out, and.. I did it.. aaand.. I'm actually pretty pleased with how it turned out. *wipes brow*

So I have fussy-ied the card up in other ways.. heehee. I've added some lilac and powder blue (they ain't the real colours but the names escape me..) roses from WOC - of course.. and added some Baby Blue Liquid pearls here and there. I have also added some ribbon, twine and a charm in an arrangement at the top - held together with a head pin. I've also made a custom head pin which sits on the other side of Christmas Kisses.

Last but not least is some faux stitching/ doodles I've added with a brown fineliner - as Mr Janome is broken for good me thinks! R. I. P. It makes me sad to think I'll never have real stitching on my cards for a while so let's not talk about that. Perhaps Santa will bring me a new one? ;)

Now it's time to head on over to Maria's blog and see what eye candy she has for you there!!

Remember: You must comment on all posts throughout the hop before it ends at Midnight on Monday (GMT) to be in with a chance of winning all six Christmas Sassys from the set. Good luck - you don't want to miss out on these girls, let me tell ya!

Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge Badge

These girls are on my wavelength!! Totally!!
Check out their blog to see what they're all about.

I can't wait to see what their challenges are going to be and get stuck in with it all.

First up - they want us all to share pictures of our craft rooms/ areas/ spaces. I'll be back on later tonight with a few pictures of mine. You have from today until 23rd of May to get your photos entered - so no excuse!! No tidying up necessary - just bare all with the rest of us crafters.

I hope to see you there! :) xo Lou.

**************************************************

Update 23:33.. SOS Kick Off Challenge.. here are the pictures I promised. No editing, no faffing, just straight up craft stash..

The three following pictures are of a set of plastic draws I have which are home to my 6x6 paper packs, embossing tool, sewing machine foot, baby wipes, some card blanks(top drawer), my embellishments (middle drawer) and my acrylic stamps (bottom drawer).

This is my oh so organised PM storage - I really gotta get myself sorted on on that front. It KILLS me having to lift all of the pens out because I just happen to want the three on the bottom. They are organised into colour family, which isn't that disorganised, is it?

Here is a view of my crafting corner in it's entirety - the only addition to this is a biiiiiig purple box the the bottom left of the picture which stores all of my 12x12 stuff. Cramped? You got it in one. But the big plus about working like this - I never need leave my chair.. partly because I don't want to.. and partly because I can't!! LOL.

On the right hand side of my desk is a mini set of plastic draws. The middle draw is home to all of my stamped and digi images which are sitting ready to colour. I love flicking through that draw and seeing what is on offer to colour up at any given time. Right now you can see gorgeous Josie - all be it upside down.

The bottom drawer is home to all of my loose ribbon which I wrap around wooden pegs and secure with a mini pin. Most of this draw includes purchases from my all time ribbon supplier.. The Ribbon Girl.

Well, thats about all I've got for ya right now. If there is anything that catches your eye, give me a shout and I'll be happy to help. I best get to bed right about now - got another 6 o'clock start, my eyes have felt sooo heaaavyyy aaaall daaaayy!! xo Lou.

Paper Sundaes First Birthday Celebration & Blog Hop

This is my second post of the night, sorry for jamming your feed! LOL. I just wanted to get them all posted before I start again tomorrow.

Hey everyone. Life at home is becoming a bit hectic of late. Why is it that months of nothingness and quiet can go by, then everything happens at once? I'm back to uni soon and a lot of stuff is happening at home with my boyfriends family. Yikes. Thats why I'm so glad that I can have time to just shut myself in my room and craft - forget about everything else, even for just a few hours. Anyway, you didn't come here to hear about that..

****************************

I'm pretty new to Paper Sundaes, I think I have only ever entered one of their challenges. But.. they are now celebrating their first birthday, and BOY!! are they doing it in style. They have an array of sponsors from LOTV to Paper Makeup Stamps to Tickled Pink Stamps, excited? Go check it out -->HERE<--

They also have an extra special challenge - they would like you to show them your fave challenge from the past year. So I had a nosey through the archive, only to come up with about 7 faves! LOL. I have tried to narrow it down as much as possible, but have incorporated a few challenges into my card - I hope that's ok ladies!

× Paperpiecing - I have paper pieced that adorable umbrella, and her pockets
× Stitching - Faux stitching around the outside of the card. I'm a big fan of both real and faux stitching - I find it hard to make a card without one or the other!! LOL
× Something New -  MFT Pure Innocence - My Umbrella stamp (not a new release but its new to me, and I {love} her!!)

For this card I followed the Mojo Sketch for this week.
× Mojo Monday 174.

I would also like to enter this card into Papertake Weekly Challenge
× Ribbons & Pearls

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill - Kraft, Rymans 200gsm white coated cardstock
Patterned paper: Basic Grey - Pyrus

Embellishments: Prima orange pearls, 15mm satin orange ribbon from The Ribbon Girl

If you go on over to their site you will see the rules around it and the list of blogs in the order you have to visit to piece together the secret sentence.
