Wonderful Things

It's Mothering Sunday here in the UK, so instead of filling your retinas full of more Mother's Day cards, I thought I'd go for something a little different.

I bought these WPlus9 stamps and dies aaaaaages ago, with big plans in mind.

As always, I got side tracked.

I had some free time last week, so I whipped up this little beauty.

I teamed a bunch of the leaves and flowers that I already had stamped with a sentiment from My Favorite Things - Chalkboard Greeting Too.

I finished the card off with some Liquid Pearls. Job done.

Vellum Mason Jar

Hey guys. It's time for me to wrap up this Mother's Day season with this card.

*You may see a couple more commissions*

So everyone who knows anything in the craft world has heard of Kristina Werner, right? If not, get out from under your rock and check out here amazing YouTube vids.

Kristina made THIS card a while ago, and it has stuck in my head ever since. The other day I was sitting with her videos on in the background, and it popped up again. I had to give it a go. I'm always up for interesting ways to add vellum to a card.

I used a couple Stampin' Up! stamp sets and a sentiment from My Favourite Things.

I embossed the bottom of the cardstock using a quilted embossing folder and added the card to my card base using some dimensionals for some added interest.

Thank you for stopping by you little beauties. :) xo

Cool It!

Have you been enjoying everyone's animal creations this week?

COOL IT!

I used an adorable stamp from Stampendous - Happy Hoppers. This is Cool It!! :) Is he not the cutest ever?

Of course, I had to colour him ginger. If you know me.. you know.. :) Ahhhh.

I used some older papers from My Minds Eye - Collectable Notable.

I used very few other supplies.
Lawn Fawn Milo's ABCs for the sentiment
Woodware brad
giant eyelet from my reogranised stash

Thanks for stopping by this week. I'll be back next Wednesday with a random card using more delicious goodies available from My Mum's Craft Shop. xo

Embossing at PFP

Hello guys! It's great to be back again to provide another dose of inspiration for the new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers this week!! I never really mention it, but I'm so honoured to be a part of this team. Not only is boss lady Denise awesome, but my teamies are super talented too!!

I see more and more crafters turning to the dark side each and every week, and I'm proud to say that each and every one of us over at Passion for ProMarkers are still very much in love with our chosen medium.

THE HUMBLE PROMARKER

So enough of all the soft talk.. and onto the card. The theme this week is..

EMBOSSING

You could use your trusty old embossing folders, blast your card with a little heat for some traditional embossing or go all out and modern with some embossing paste! The choice is entirely your own.

I chose to use one of my favourite embossing folders (which is actually a Basic Grey Christmas design from Sizzix) and some heat embossing on my sentiment (which wouldn't show up no matter how many times I retook the photo - so you'll have to take my word for it! ;)

ProMarkers and FlexMarkers
Sentiment - Sophie's Sentiments Lawn Fawn
Cardstock - Neenah, Stampin' Up!, Papercuts
Patterned paper - Teresa Collins
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Luxe Rose Bud
The Ribbon Girl
Doodlebug brads
Liquid Pearls
Dew Drops
clear embossing powder
Memory Box die
Sizzix embossing folder
doily and corners cut on Cameo

How are you guys liking this little list set up?

Concise with less waffle - my fingers are a fan, and I manage to get a blog post done in half the time.. surprisingly! LOL!

Thank you for stopping by today guys. Be sure to visit the Passion for ProMarkers blog to get even more inspired by the lovely ladies and join in with us. xo

For You

I'm back today with some more inspiration for you guys using the Art Pads from Lili of the Valley.

I thought I would really struggle matching papers up with these, but it's actually easier than my OCD first thought.

This time round I used the gorgeous dog and bunny hugging.

I dug out some older papers from Teresa Collins that I hadn't even broken into yet *slaps hands* and went to work. I LOVE that grey floral paper, and the B side of that was this coral coloured hexagon pattern so I just had to use the two sides together.

Lili of the Valley Art Pad - Set 2 Jack, Patch and Puss
Teresa Collins paper pack
Avery Elle Oh Happy Day sentiment
Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink
Xcut dies
Woodware brads
Organza ribbon from The Ribbon Girl
Liquid Pearls and rhinestones from my stash

Jobs a good'n. xo

I'm gonna try something a little different today. Instead of loads of waffle I'll simply list the stash I used. Here goes. Lemme know if you prefer it this way.

My Mind Eye paper pack
American Crafts and Bazzill cardstock

A Job for Embossing Paste

Hello everyone. Another post from me today, this time it's a MALE card. Something that I know a few of my readers really struggle with.

If you stop by my blog often, you'll know that I have a back up when it comes to boy cards - STARS!!

This creation was no different. I created this card for a 21st birthday. I didn't really have much to go on, so it was all about the age, the stars and THE TEXTURE.

I used a Studio Calico stencil and some Wendy Vecchi embossing paste to a create a textured background to build my design on. I cut out a large '21' and the 'TODAY' on my Cameo using papers from an older My Minds Eye collection. I layered them all together atop a vellum STAR. See.. ;)

I then embossed a sentiment from Lawn Fawn using silver detail embossing powder and cut it using a die from MFT. I then attached it to the card using a couple Doodlebug brads.

Finally I finished the whole design off using some London Fog Fireworks from Tsukineko for a sparkly look which doesn't show up too well in the photos.

Job done. I'll be back tomorrow with a little MONSTER treat. :) xo

Happy Birthday, Cutie.

Hey everyone. Happy Hump Day.

It's my turn to provide some inspiration for you all using My Mum's Craft Shop goodies.

Have you guys seen the new release of TOPPERS from The Hobby House?!

Get your butts over to MMCS now and LOOKIE! There are some real cuties.

The pinks and lime greens match perfectly with Everyday Eclectic from Echo Park, so I teamed the image up with those papers, matting stuff onto Blushing Bride from SU!

I added a sentiment using a Lawn Fawn alpha stamps, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. LOVE how that looks. :) I used a MFT Pierced Tags STAX dies to cut that out and I adhered it at a jaunty angle (that's two this week, what's wrong with me?! LOL!!).

I cut a big '1' with my Cameo from the same patterned paper pack and added it to the left hand side of the card. Then it was time for embellishing.

I added a little pink button, and a pink gem dot, and a couple Hobby House pearl brads. Then I dug my charms out, as I haven't used any for ages. I came across this little comb from Marianne - I think - so I attached that with some pink bakers twine from Doodlebug. Some standard Liquid Pearls and Stickles and it was a good'n.

That's all I got for ya. Happy Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by. xo

Nauti-cool

Hello guys! :) Hopefully by the time this post goes live I will have been up for a good couple hours crafting away in the gorgeous morning light that graces my room on these early spring mornings!

I can't believe I forgot to share these cards with you when I made them back at the beginning of February.

I used the Wicked Nauticool stamp set from Lawn Fawn and the matching Nauticool dies. So fun.

I wanted to keep the cards pretty quick and simple with just a little stamping, die cutting and paper piecing.

I added some silver embossing to the anchor and chain on the second card, and a touch of red with the little heart.

These sets from Lawn Fawn with their quirky sentiments always make me smile. Sometimes a 'hello there' is just a little too boring!

Happy Tuesday guys, thank you for stopping by. xo

Oh Happy Day

Morning Guys! :)

It's definitely a HAPPY MONDAY for me today. This is the first day of my week off from work. I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am. I haven't been off work for any more than two days at a time since.. last August?! I KNOW!!

Well earned.

So the title of this happy post is very apt. It also matches the card I'm sharing with you all today.

This is another BRAND NEW digi design from Time for Tea Designs!!

I coloured this cutie with my ProMarkers with no particular papers in mind, but I did end up choosing some My Minds Eye goodness.

I kept this card pretty simple, as I had a lot of comments about my LAST TFT CARD which you can find HERE. I added some twine, a Prima flower, some twill ribbon and a lovely little heart button from My Mum's Craft Shop

I added the 'Oh Happy Day' sentiment from Amy R Stamps to a little scalloped oval and added it to my image panel which *notice* I added a jaunty angle. It almost killed me!!

That's all from me for today. I'll be back with more to share throughout the week. :)

Good Luck Tiree!!

Today is a very sad day for us Home Bargainers!!

We have one of our longest running members of staff leaving us, as she has been promoted to a new store.

I could cry.. but I'll try and keep this professional. Just know, that by the time this post goes live.. I'll probably be sobbing my little heart out.

It's her last ever shift with us today. Boss lady give her the present and card we all grouped together for.. so I thought I'd best share it with you all.

I know I had a few people on FB asking me for inspiration when using these gorgeous Art Pads from Lili of the Valley. Here is one way. I used some delicious papers from My Minds Eye, and I stuck to pastel shades to match with the colours on the image.

I stamped a Paper Smooches banner and added a sentiment to it using some Lawn Fawn alpha stamps. A little froofroo with some organza polka dot ribbon, a button and a La La Land Crafts banner cut from vellum.

This time, it truly was what was inside the card that counted! I hear it made her cry. Haah. :)

That's all from me this afternoon. Thank you for stopping by.

I'm off to find a clean tissue now! LOL! xo

Glorious Gold

Good morning guys. I'm actually going to make sure that this post goes LIVE when it should today. Apologies for the delay in yesterdays Passion for ProMarkers post which you can catch HERE - another installation of no lines colouring. :)

It's HUMP day! Which means once this post goes live I will be well on my way through my third last shift at work before NINE WHOLE DAYS OFF. Can ya tell I'm excited?! NO?! Well I am!

This week over at My Mum's Craft Shop we're showcasing everyones favourite..

FLOWERS

I used a delicious set from Avery Elle - Petals & Stems

I used some gorgeous yellow, sunshiney paper from My Minds Eye Mildred 6x6 pack. LOVE me some diagonal stripes. I wanted to keep this card pretty simple so I let the main panel with all of the stamping and embossing speak for itself - no fancy embellishments this time round, just a sprinkling of Champagne Stickles.

I love the combination of the bright flowers with the gold embossing. I dunno what it is, but my eyes find it appealing and I'll definitely be doing something like this again in the future! :)

Be sure to stop by the blog every day this week and drink up the inspiration from our amazing DT! They blow me away every single time with their creations.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with a super special post. xo

Flying by to say HI!

Morning guys! :) It's March. It's March.

Can you even believe it?!

This is my first post for Passion for ProMarkers this month, and we have a new challenge for you all, chosen by the lovely Eileen.

BUTTERFLY KISSES

She wants to see your projects full of the flutterbys! Whether it be your image, your embellishments or even the shape of your card! Bowl us over with your creativity, just like you manage to do week in week out!! Go, go go!!

Here's what I came up with using an older image from Pollycraft. I will always have a soft spot for these digis, I went all out and bought the Mega Bundle when Paula had it on offer last year. I printed out a bunch of them and I will slowly work my way through them.

Less waffle.

I coloured Sonny Honeycloud - Butterflies when I was on my 'no lines' kick - although rest assured it hasn't ended. Heh. I used a grey, pink and mint green combo to match my papers from My Minds Eye.

I went all out with the polka dots! I didn't even realise until I had finished the card. Good job I love me some polka dots! ;) I added a cute little sentiment from Amy R, which I embossed and added some flagged ends to the strip of paper. As well as the butterflies on the image, I added more punched butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch using little scraps from my left over papers.

It wouldn't be anything created by me without a sprinkling of Liquid Pearls and Stickles.

Job done. :)

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to stop by the Passion for ProMarkers blog and enter your BUTTERFLY goodness. xo

Delightful Daffodils.

Hey guys. Time for a lazy Sunday..

Like every Sunday ain't lazy! Muuahahahah!

This was a commission from last month.

For a lady who loves daffodils and Celtic designs.

I grabbed a beautiful image from a Lili of the Valley - Art Pad Wild Flowers and went about embellishing the card. I found a gorgeous Celtic border designs over at Silhouette and decided to cut that from some vellum to layer under the image.

I added a Lawn Fawn sentiment, some Studio Calico letter stickers, some Liquid Pearls and Stickles and a strip of orange gingham ribbon. Job done.

Such a pretty image. I'm hoping to get a couple Mother's Day cards made up with some more sheets from this Art Pad! :) Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. xo

Finally Friday.

Good evening guys! Finally Friday! Yippeeee!!

Five more shifts at work and then I'm off for a week. I cannot WAIT!

So.. if you follow me over on FB, you'll know that I have been seriously lacking mojo this past week. Things got so ridiculous that I decided to rip apart my craft desk and have a couple nights just reorganising my stash.

Last night I decided to create this little treat. I didn't dare make another start on any more orders incase I messed them up - which had happened earlier in the week. A total face/palm moment.

Onwards. Here's hoping the weekend is a little more productive. Please keep your finger crossed for me!

This is the adorable Hugs from the latest release from March. LOVE this girl - so cute. She's my new favourite.. but I say that about every one. I kept this super simple, the less things I added, the less things to go wrong, right?

I used a card base I had decorated with some embossing paste on Monday night and added some papers from an older Echo Park collection. I then used some May Arts black twill ribbon which I picked up from The Button Shack sale added a yellow Prima flower and a black clay doodad to finish the job.

I left the sentiment from this card (which is unusual for me) but I couldn't frickin' decided on one. Meh!!

HAPPY FRIDAY GUYS.

Thank you for stopping by. xo

Oh Shoot <---

Morning guys! :)

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

I'm here to share a card I created when I had my MFT loving kick a couple weekends ago using a whole bunch of My Mum's Craft Shop goodies!

I started off with a stamp set from Avery Elle - Oh Happy Day, which inspired me to use some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Cupid's Arrow. Perfect match. I embossed my sentiment onto some grey card stock and went to work on my flowers.

I used a Die-namics Fluttering Hearts die to cut some tiny hearts into my background card stock, I then added some grey paper from the Cupid's Arrow pack behind to tie in the grey from the papers and my sentiment panel.

I used MFT Sweet Roses and
matching die set Roses and Leaves

I arranged them in a way that made me happy, added some foam dots behind some of them, laid some flat, curled up the leaves and faffed on til I got it to how I wanted it.

For some finishing touches I added some froofroo with some £1 embellishments:
Basic Round Buttons which I threaded with some red bakers twine
Clear Coloured Gem Dots (which I LOVE!!)
and a sprinkling of liquid pearls.

Job done!!

Thank you for stopping by today. Apologies for the waffle. This is what happens when I sit down and schedule a bunch of posts at a time - get used to it! ;)

Sleepy Cat

Good evening guys! :)

Sorry this post is going up a day late. I literally wasted the whole day yesterday just sleeping and cabbaging watching TV, I had no energy. So today I have ran around like a headless chicken and I've managed to squeeze this card in for the new monthly challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop.

SPRING OR EASTER

This is one of the gorgeous cats from Time for Tea Designs February release. I just had to colour this cutie up to look like Shadow Cat. I took a lot of inspiration from the amazeballs Faye, and added her to a grass digi from Make it Crafty.

Now onto those delicious papers. Ohhhhh. They're some newbies from My Minds Eye Now and Then - Dorothy *LOVE*. I've used a MFT Postage Edge stamp die to create some interest above the sentiment. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Mother's Day and I've stamped it in some new Grey Flannel Memento Luxe Ink. Yum! :) Good job craft supplies aren't edible, I'd gobble the lot up.

Of course, as a finishing touch I just had to add some Fireworks, this time in Summer Sky!

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Crafty Calendar - Animal Antics
- Hiding in my Craft Room - Spring Colours
- The Doodle Garden - Anything Goes

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop BLOG and have a spy at the gorgeous Spring/Easter cards the girls have whipped up to inspire ya this month.

.. oh, and be sure to stop by tomorrow when I will *hopefully* have a card with a new image from the BRAND NEW Time for Tea Designs release for March! That's if I have any energy left tonight. :) xo
