Gooood morning you wonderful lot!
Some of you may be wondering if I have simply disappeared from the face of the Earth. The simple answer to that, would be no. I just really haven't had the energy or the inclination to type up blog posts lately. I know that's bad of me, but sometimes I feel it's utterly pointless for the hits I get.
Onwards. Today we have a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers.
This week, our lovely Shelly would like to see..
LOVELY LILAC AND LEMON.
I froze a little with fright when I first seen this challenge listed over in DT land! Lilac and lemon are pastel colours. I never use pastel colours. I go bold or go home. So I really had to get my thinking cap on for this one. I sat down and worked out some new, paler, colour combos, and went to work.
I used this gorgeous image from Stamping Bella, which I have had for ages but never properly coloured up. I love these images. They're not super detailed, so relatively quick to colour up. Plus the style in which they are drawn is very forgiving if you do happen to go over the line or squiggle a little messy. Love them. I must invest in more in the future!

I enjoy your posts too, but if it comes down to reading, "Hey. Here's a card." rather than your usual lovely message, just so you'll post more often, I'll take it. :-)

Lou, I think pastel suits you beautifully, based on the stunning card you've created! You've selected a fabulous image (love those outfits...and the cupcakes...and the bottle of bubbly) where purple and yellow work, and you've certainly created magic with them. Gorgeous! As for not posting: I so hear you, as I often feel the same way! Please, though, do continue! Your creativity is so impressive - a gift to be shared!
