Sing me a Carol

Oh, you don't wanna sing? What's that? You sound like a cat being strangled? Gosh, okay.. keep those noises to yourself. Instead.. Wryn will sing us a lovely carol.

Ready?

Heh! :) It's time for another dose of Fabulous Friday from our AH-mazing Tiddly Inks team! Head over to the challenge blog to see what the other ladies have created to inspire ya this week!!

This is Wryn Goes Caroling. She's been coloured up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from an old collection from Basic Grey - Wassail. I know I'll be asked what colours I used for her hair - so Oatmeal, Honeycomb, Ginger and Spice. :) One step ahead of ya!

I haven't followed any particular layout for this card, I've just tried to use up the scraps of papers I've already cut into. I've inked the edges using Frayed Burlap DI - the first time I've done this in forEVAH. I've outlined some areas with an Old Olive marker. The little sentiment ticket is a mixture of Whimsy stamps and Amy R. Some yummy olive grosgrain from The Ribbon Girl, and old BG button aaand some random beige coloured brads finish this card off.

Oh, and.. I've been tryna use up my.. flatter? less dimensional? dimensional foam adhesive. It's like 1mm, maybe 2mm thick.. and well.. I have like two who A4 sheets to get rid of. Hell, you can't even tell that the image panel is popped up on this card, can ya? Meh. I gotta start using stuff up before buying new, so I'ma have to stick it out. Get it? Stick! LOL! Seriously though - why don't we think ahead before we purchase this stuff? :/

Don't forget to head over to the challenge blog!

Thank you for stopping by! xo

Bee Happy

This post didn't go live when it should have. Sorry.

Oh hell yeah. I'm actually ahead of schedule. So it's Tuesday and it's time for another challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers. This week the theme has been set by our lovely Jane. She wants to see you all HAPPY!!

BEE HAPPY

Heh. So cute. This can be interpreted any way you wish. I know yellow and grey is a massive trend at the moment, so why not try yellow and black? You could have a scene with little bees in the background, or you could have the bee.. be.. centre stage. Which is what I've chosen to do.

The lucky winner will receive a £10 voucher to spend over at Joanna Sheen.

So here is the last SMASH* page I made.. like two months ago. Ridiculous, I know. My poor SMASH* books are going so unloved right now, but for me it's all about CHRISTMAS right now! How about you?

So the cutie featured on this page, as I'm sure you all already know is the gorgeous Annabelle from Tiddly Inks. Happy Bee Day. She's been coloured up.. to look like a bumble bee ;) with my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I've added her to a SMASH* page about my fear of bees and wasps. I got stung all. of. the. time when I was younger, and I will never forget the feeling. That buzzzz sound puts the fear of death in me and I'd run a mile! LOL. It's like an involuntary reaction - I can't just stand still and let it pass.. I totally freak out.

BUT. Annabelle in her adorable bumble suit is different. I luffs her.

Here is an 'artistic' shot - HAH! I love how her red hair turned out. I've added a little pocket by upcycling a soap packet. I know, I know. :/

Please head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog and JOIN US. There is plenty of inspiration over there to inspire you to getting buzzing!! xo

It's HALLOWEEN at Tiddly Inks

Goodness me. Neither of my posts actually went live yesterday. So here is my new challenge card for Tiddly Inks a day late! *sweet, sorry face*

Morning Tiddly Inkers! :) Tuesday has come around again.. and another Tuesday can only mean one thing.. a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks!!

Over two weeks of October have disappeared into thin air.. and in another two short weeks it'll be HALLOWEEN. So.. we want to see you whip up your bestest HALLOWEEN CREATIONS with the gorgeous images available over at Tiddly Inks.

Christy has been a busy bee and has drawn up a bunch of new Halloween images for us to use - head over to the shop to pick up yours now!!

I decided to use Witchy Wryn, because I loves her! :) I love her little friends even more - the frog and kitty! I've coloured her up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers - I didn't want to make her cloak super black, so I've used Cool Grey 2-5. I've made her a little blonde, with green highlights, heh. You can't really tell on the picture, but it looks so cool IRL. Another thing the picture hasn't really picked up on is the purple glow I've added around her - gotta work on that to get it to stand out more.

I've kept the layout of the card pretty simple. I've embossed the bottom of the cardbase with a Sizzix EF, added a few stripes of My Minds Eye patterned paper, a length of polka dot ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, a cute bow and a threaded button. Voila! The sentiment has been created using Amy R stamps and punched out using an SU! punch.

Thank you for stopping by! :)

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Sassy Cheryl's Digi - Orange and Black
- Forever Friends - Halloween/ Autumn
- Hooked on Craft - Halloween

Be sure to stop by the Tiddly Inks Challenge BLOG and share your HALLOWEEN creation with us! xo

Some new threads for Kaylee..

.. so she can dress up for Halloween! ;)

So last.. but by no means least it's..

WITCHY WEARS

This is a 3x4 to compliment Kaylee's Closet Wardrobe set. Who doesn't love this little girl?! Perfect for little doses of colouring, paper piecing or just practicing when you don't fancy a whole character. This Witchy Wears set comes with a hat, a dress, a broom and the cutest little sentiment to make your project perfect down to the last detail.

I've used some papers from My Minds Eye, I love the pop of blue this collection has, so I've brought that in with my colouring too. How cute is her little dress? I think next time I use this little Kaylee, I won't fussy cut her out. The white trim around her makes her pieced clothes look a little funny.. me thinks. :)

I've added some black stitched grosgrain to the design (I forgot how easy this stuff ties into cute bows) and added a white button threaded with some mini orange ricrac ribbon - all from The Ribbon Girl. I used the broomstick as an accent piece, as opposed to placing it with Kaylee, to draw some attention to the sentiment which I've stamped on a flagged piece of cardstock in Pumpkin Pie ink from SU!

That's all we've got for ya for this release! Be sure to stop by the SOME ODD GIRL BLOG and looksie at the projects the ODDies have created with this neat little addition.

All of the stamps from this weeks sneaks will be up for sale over at the SOME ODD GIRL SHOP TODAY!! Grab yours while you can, you know they're a must for your collection. xo

Hey you, Candy Avenger

Hey Tiddly Inkers! :) It's time for another OLDIES post over at Tiddly Inks. Today it's my turn to show off another Avenger.

This little girlie is Candy Avenger and she is perfect for Halloween!! She's been coloured with PMs and FMs to match my papers from My Minds Eye.

I've stencilled some cloudy night sky behind the little Avenger, using Bashful Blue and Perfect Plum ink from SU! I've created the sentiment using a set from Amy R and punched it out using a 1"circle punch. I've adhered it to an orange Prima flower I had lying around in my stash and folded a length of mini orange ricrac behind it. For another added layer I've punched some polka dot patterned paper with a tab punch from SU! and folded that round the image panel.

I've layered up some of the patterned paper from the My Minds Eye collection and wrapped some grosgrain stitch ribbon and mini ricrac ribbon around for some added texture. I've created a bow using my Bow Easy and layered an orange button otop the knot - all from The Ribbon Girl. To tie the layers together, I've added some Pumpkin Pie doodles around the edges.

For finishing details I've dotted a few Doodlebug brads here and there. I'm not usually big on Halloween, but I love the dramatic black and orange combo! Plus, this Candy Avenger makes Halloween feel super fun! I hope she shares her bounty with her friends, her pumpkin looks like it's bursting with goodies!

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Scrap Creations - Pumpkins
- Hooked on Craft - Halloween
- Make in Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by today. xo
