Punch It!!

[WARNING: Super long post, sorry. I just kept waffling]

Morning frosty folk. How's your weekend been?! :) Mine was brilliant. I went to Alnwick Gardens on Saturday night to see the Christmas lights and yesterday was my boyfriends birthday so we just chilled out and celebrated that. Good job I had this card made up in advance other wise I woulda been super late.

You've probably noticed it's been super quiet over here of late, apart from posts I already had scheduled in advance I just haven't had the time to sit long enough to type anything up. A side from that I wouldn't have had much to show you all either - I haven't been in the house for long enough to really sit and chillax at my desk. But anywho, there is good news ahead..

By the time this post goes live I'll have been up a couple of hours making the finishing touches to the last of my postal orders for Christmas. :) Feels sooo good to be able to almost see the light at the end of that tunnel! After that I just have a couple more Christmas cards which I can deliver locally and some birthday cards for the end of December. Then I will be clocking out until 2012. I really need to take some TO and reorganise my craft desk. It's just getting more and more hectic with stuff piled on top of stuff.

If you hadn't already noticed I've been using more or less the same stuff on my cards over the past like.. month.. two months? That's because I can't find anything else in my room! LOL. Seriously. It's disgusting. So this card is no exception. I've used some gorgeous papers from Crate Paper - Snow Day 6x6 pad. Scraps. :) I've done myself proud this year in terms of not hoarding my Christmas papers and collections. *high five* to me.

So how did you guys enjoy our Christmas Challenge Special over at Pollycraft?! Thank you to the millions of entrants who participated. Okay.. there weren't millions but there was a LOT! So thank you, and good luck. The winners should be announced around Tuesday-ish.

This week we've got a new challenge for you all!!

PUNCH IT!!

This challenge will run until the 8th January, so once again.. you've got plenty of time to enter.

Our lucky randomly drawn winner will receive TWO Sweet Pea Stamps.

Scrap Affair Blog

So here we have.. Swings and Slides - Snowballs. This is one of the new images Paula released this winter. Grab yours from the Pollycraft Shop NOW.

Some other stuff you might recognise is.. the red bakers twine from The Ribbon Girl. Some moonstone brads from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the Decorative Label Punch from SU! which I've used to cut out my embossed sentiment. :) Diamond Stickles have been a main stay in all of my Christmas creations this year. They're a good substitute for the snow that I am crap at colouring.

I have embossed the sentiment from a Hero Arts set in white. I remember when I first learnt to emboss, I done it on like every card, but now when I look back.. my technique was poor. Little bits of stray embossing powder everywhere.

I have used a circle punch to take off the corners of my image panel to create more interest.

I have decorated the inside to match the front like I always do. Just this time I remembered to take a photo. :)
