Saying Thanks from Tiddly Inks

Good morning! :) So pleased you could stop by today.. we've got a BRAND NEW challenge for ya over at Tiddly Inks, and I've got a little inspiration to get you thinking.

First of all, I wanna start by showing you a mistake. A mistake that had me gritting my teeth for AGES afterwards. Wasn't a good situation.

Basically, I was too busy concentrating on getting the friggin' sentiment straight.. that I forgot to actually fit the whole thing in the space. Ridiculous. I know. Took me about 20 minutes to salvage the bloody thing. *rolls eyes* That aside. Here's my finished card for this challenge.

SAY THANKS

You know you've always gotta be thankful for your friends, right? So what better way of saying thanks than a little card. :) I've used the adorable Wryn and Emmy - BFF. LOVE these two cuties! I've coloured them up with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match some scraps from MME Mabel collection.

I decided to try a little masking and sponging with my neglected DI's that didn't involve clouds on this card.. so I die cut the letters to spell 'FRIENDS' from a TH die and temporarily adhered them to the card. I then took some Scattered Straw and Tea Dye DI and sponged around them.. nicely! :) Really subtle, but I kinda like it. I stamped the card base with some HA Polka Dots in Chestnut Roan Chalk ink just to add something extra! :)

The panel behind the image is made entirely from scraps. I've got a thing about diagonal stripes, so I adhered little strips.. diagonally.. to a piece of printer paper, trimmed it, and adhered it to the card. :) The sentiment has been stamped on two more pieces of scrap paper, boy I'm good ;) and adhered over the afore mentioned MISTAKE! Gahh!! I'm still annoyed about it. LMAO! Some little white liquid pearl sqwodges here and there, and that's about it! :)

Head on over to the TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG NOW!! and see what the AH-mazing DT have got to inspire you to create a THANK YOU project!!
