Thinking of You

Hey Tiddly Inkers, sorry this post is going up a little late. My head has been all over the place lately, I have no idea whether I'm coming or going. Hopefully over this next week I'll get myself sorted out and organised again. Please bare with me. :)

So it's time for another Fabulous Friday over at Tiddly Inks, and this time round I've gone with an 'old' favourite of mine.. Wryn and Emmy - BFF. How sweet are these two together.

I whipped this card up for a lady who wanted to let her friend know she was thinking of her as she was going through a tough time. She emailed me a picture of the two of them together, and I tried to match Emmy and Wryns dresses to theirs from the picture. :)

Be sure to stop by the Tiddly Inks blog and see what other awesome creations the girlies have come up for ya this time round!

Super Tobie - Featured Digi

There's still time to grab your SUPER TOBIE while there's 25% off ODDies.

Here's a card I whipped up to give you an idea of what this little cutie could be used for.

This little guy is perfect for a birthday card. Which little boy isn't gonna love this super hero? I love the blowing cape - such a neat touch! I've coloured him using PMs and FMs to match the scraps of paper I have left from My Minds Eye Out of the Blue paper pack. ;) The sentiment is from an Amy R set and has been stamped in Real Red ink onto a Dog Tag die cut with a MFT die.

Thanks for stopping by today! :) Hope you likey.

Pink Ribbon Mae

*waves*

I feel like a total stranger around these parts, and for that I can only apologise. BUT!! I know you guys are gonna be happy for me! I know myself that I'm happier than I have been in a very long time. Now I know I don't usually get all personal and soppy on my blog, I usually just stick to waffling with a slice of craft, BUT!! me thinks life is on the up!! New horizons, new directions and courses to take, and I finally have all of the special people right where they need to be! :)

Now I know that's very 'riddle' like, but you never know who's reading these things! ;) Many of you have me on FB, and might have seen that I haven't been getting much sleep lately. Between that and doing a heap of extra hours at work over the past two weeks I'm all but pooped come the end of the day. By which my 'day' runs from 7:30am to about 4:30am! LOL. There are far better things to be doing than sleeping right now!!

SO! Now that I've got all of that out of the way, I hope that I've got these couple hours set aside to get my blog up to date! *fingers crossed*

HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN KEEPING UP WITH THE NEW DIGI RELEASES FROM SOME ODD GIRL?!

OF COURSE YOU HAVE!!

Today is the last day of previews.. we've got two absolutely gorgeous Mae's for you to add to your projects, from spunky and sassy to classy as chic, these two ladies have got it going OAN!!

Let me introduce ya to..

What did I say about chic and classy?! Uh huh, this pretty lady has got it ALL going on!! Please head over to the Some Odd Girl BLOG now to see what my other awesauce teamies have got for ya to show off both PINK RIBBON MAE and COWGIRL MAE! ;)

As standard, this girlie has been coloured using my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers - I love her matching eyeshadow! ;) I tried out a new combo for cream on her dress, I'm not 100% on it. What do you think? I also tried a new combo for blonde hair! LOL. I kinda like how that turned out! :) I kept the card pretty simple, with some papers from My Minds Eye Madison Avenue and some delicious ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. The sentiment is from an Amy R stamp and sums this image up just perfectly for me.

I'm off to try and get the rest of my missing posts sorted! ;) See you all very shortly.

Over and out. xo

SOG - Sept Digi Release

With all this cold weather we've been having lately, it's time to get geared up for the SNOW!! Okay, okay.. not quite yet.. but I can't wait for it's arrival. Guess whose all ready and raring to go.. It's Tobie!! How could you forget about this little character?

First up is Tobie and his little snowbuddy. How cute do they look together?! Tobies face says it all really.

I've coloured this little cutie up with the standard PMs/FMs to match my papers from Basic Grey. I've kinda souped up this card a little more than I usually would with a male card, but I kinda like how it turned out. I think the embellishment of this Christmas is gonna be die cut vellum snowflakes. ;)

Next up is WINTER TOBIE! All wrapped up and ready for the chilly days ahead. Do you love that hat as much as me?! I sure hope you do. I've coloured him up to match the same papers from Basic Grey, and I've added a couple more die cut snowflakes. I've tried to create a little landscape, can ya tell? ;) I love using up scraps, I do.

So that's it from me! Hope you likey! xo

CAS at Passion for ProMarkers

I'm only.. what? Three days late with this post! HAH! I'm a bad blogger. I was gonna say I wanna apologise to my Passion for ProMarker teamies, but I think everyone is sick of the sound of me saying 'sorry' lately. Although I am.. sorry! LOL!

Okay.. let's crack on..

The challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers this week is CLEAN AND SIMPLE. A very, very, tricky challenge for me, set by our lovely Coops.

I used an older Some Odd Girl digi, because she still has a special place in my heart! I LOVE her outfit, and her pose! :) This is Mistletoe Kaylee.. and as standard she's been coloured with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers! ;)

CAS? I know. It almost frickin' killed me! I used like.. scraps of paper.. the slice of Neenah my image is on.. and.. that's like. IT! I KNOW!!

The gorgeous sentiment is from an Amy R set and has been stamped in Old Olive ink from SU! I've doodled around the edges with an Old Olive marker and popped the image up. I think that just about covers it! :)

I won't hold you up any longer, ^_^ but please head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog and see the amazing CAS work the other ladies have got for ya. If you really want, you can leave some love for our newbies too!! We've three lovely ladies joining us.

Elf Kaylee

This girl has GOTTA be my fave from this release, although I really love Winter Tobie too.. and Pink Ribbon Mae. Oh, and Cowgirl Mae. HECK! I can't choose a favourite. Can you!?

So here is ELF KAYLEE. Isn't she a sweetie?! Love her little outfit, and that pile of gifts. Those ears of hers make me sooo happy too! :) I've coloured her using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my yummy papers from Echo Park.

I've been getting a lot of questions about which combo I use for my skin. It's always, unless I otherwise say - Blush, Soft Peach, Rose Peach. Baby Pink for their cheeks, and either Lavender or Burnt Orange for the deepest shadows, depending on how I'm feeling! LOL.

I've kept the layout of the card pretty simple. I love the big image panel and the embellishments layered on top of it, I've been rolling with that 'technique' a lot lately. I've die cut some yummy MFT Dienamics Snowflakes from vellum and attached them using some brads from Doodlebug. I've added some green gems and a cute little sentiment from Amy R to finish it off.

Can I ask you all what you think about the blue glow around the image? Do you think it could be extended a little more without her looking like shes stepping off of a space ship?! I feel like I'm heading away from fussy cutting my images out right now (no doubt that urge will return soon).. so I wanna play more with the white space around my images. Any tips?

That's all from me! Head over to the Some Odd Girl Blog now and check out the newest KAYLEES in our digi family. Thank you for stopping by. xo

Birthday Wishes from Annabelle

*waves* Happy Friday!! Thank goodness the weekend has arrived, I sure need a break. Almost been working full time shifts this week, and although it's good for the bank balance, it's not so good for the knees! I could cry! LOL. So I plan on standing up straight or lying down straight with as little bend in my knees as possible for the next two days!!

Aside from the drama in the knee compartment, Friday can only mean one other thing.. IT'S FABULOUS FRIDAY over at TIDDLY INKS!! I decided to use another gorgeous Annabelle, which I'd coloured up previous to her release, but who hadn't made it onto a card yet.

I coloured this cutie up with my neighbour in mind. It was her birthday at the end of August and she loves spending time in her garden, this little Annabelle was perfect!!

I kept the main panel pretty large, as I printed the digi out at over 4" - oh yeah, I went all out on this! ;) I used a mixture of papers from My Minds Eye, love that wooden one. I doodled some of the edges with my brown fineliner, wrapped some cute bakers twine around the design, and added a bunch of Prima and WOC flowery goodness to the bottom corner.

The sentiment is from an Amy R set, which I stamped in black ink to make it stand out from the blades of grass I flicked in. The whole image has been coloured using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers, I then added Diamon Stickles to some areas of the butterfly wings for that added sparkle! ;) Some little orange brads from Doodlebug finish the design off nicely.

I hope this has inspired you to break out those Tiddly Inks and create something cute today! I can't wait to see more of Annabelle around blogland, maybe you blog will be the one?

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Crafts and Me - Add a Flower
- Inky Impressions - Anything Goes

Don't forget to head over to the Tiddly Inks BLOG now and see what other drool-worthy creations the ladies on the amazing DT have come up with for ya! ;) Feast your eyes!!

Over and OUT. Enjoy your weekend, whatever you get up to. xo

Kicking off September..

with a BANG!!

Just WAIT til you find out what I've been sitting on for the past few weeks. I could die at the thought of being able to tell you all now. HAH!

I'm once again AN ODD GIRL!!

YEAAAHH!!

I know. I know. Probably one of the most exciting days of my life. Seriously. If I hadn't been sitting down when Leah emailed me, I woulda been on the floor. GAHH!!

You guys already know how much I L-O-V-E Kristy and her awesome brain. The images she produces for us to colour til our hearts content just blow my mind. I love the whole dynamic of the design team and how fresh and new the girls keep the show! CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED!!

So first up..  I'm kicking off with the SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE. Make sure you head on over to the SOG CHALLENGE BLOG to see the sketch we've whipped up for ya to follow this month.

Here's what I came up with using the gorgeously quirky SUMMER KAYLEE.

You guys already know she's been coloured using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers in my fave combo of orange and turquoise. I've used a new mask and created a background layer of dots. I then used some scraps of paper from My Minds Eye Breeze collection. I've die cut a bunch of pinking circles to create my scallops and wrapped some twine around the space between two of them. Some flowers I received as part of a swap finish of the embellishment nicely. They've been attached using some Doodlebug brads.

Pretty simples card, but these characters always take centre stage!

I hope you can join us this month, be sure to stop by the BLOG to see what the other AMAZE-BALLS girls have created for ya! They'll definitely inspire you.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes

- The Perfect Sentiment - Anything Goes
