The Stamping Bazaar.. ::Bikkie::

Each Monday on The Stamping Bazaar Blog - me and the DT showcase all of our creations for the coming week - using images designed by Marina Neira for The Stamping Bazaar Store.

Each day of the week you will be getting inspiration from our talented team. The DT will show their creations on their own blogs and describe how they made them. They will provide links to the image they have used on their projects to the SB Store and point you in the right direction to the next inspirational post from a DT member.

Today is my turn, along with Susan, so be sure to stop by her blog and check out her post too! Her work is awesome!!

Today I have decided to use Bikkie - he is just the cutest Platypus around, isn't he?! He is available HERE from TSB Store. I have coloured him using ProMarkers - I have used my all time fave browns for fur, Cocoa, Henna and Walnut. He looks so smooooth.

I have used papers from Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy collection, and followed a layout of a card by MT which really inspired me with the banner and tag. I have distressed the edges of the paper with Frayed Burlap DI, stitched a tiny scallop edge to the base paper and created a tag using a 3" Dovecraft punch which nearly breaks my wrist - but it's so worth it, I love the detailing on the top of the tag.

I fussy cut Bikkie out to make him work more with the layout - he could be used along so many different sentiments, like ' Sorry, I forgot your Birthday' because he looks for mournful, or 'Miss You', but this time round I decided to go with 'Friend'. The letter stickers are a mix of Jenni Bowlin and Cosmo Cricket. I had ran out of E's in the Jenni Bowlin set - typical huh. I've still got 8 Z's left!! *rolls eyes*

Here is a close up of that amazing banner - I shall definitely be doing something like this again, its soo cute and simple - yet really effective and not too in your face! I suggest you score the patterned paper where you want to create the folds to minimise cracking too!

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Stamps and Fun - Dots
× The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes
× The Crafty Pad - Spots and Dots
× Creative Cowgirls - Anything Goes

Don't forget to call again at The Stamping Bazaar Blog on Monday to see next weeks creations, and on Wednesday for our regular Special Designer Guest Spot.

Thanks for stopping by today, and thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments everyone leaves - they really encourage me and put a smile on my face!! xo Lou.

  1. Hi Lou, sooo cute. Love this little fella and that fab banner, very effective. Some of my fave papers too, not many left now after doing a scrapbook. Great tag and itty bitty letters.
