When I Said I Loved You..

Good evening everyone, I'm so glad you could stop by today, I have a cute little card to show you - well, I think its cute anyway, but I'm biased!

But first, let me tell you about my VERY productive day! *big grin* It started off when my new SU! Crumb Cake cardstock arrived today, I needed to find a special place to put it - so that resulted in a big desk tidy up - you will see some pictures in due course in tomorrows WOYWW - so check back for that! :)

Then I went on to make some raspberry cupcakes following a recipe from a new recipe book I got off my Mam at Christmas. Well I must say, they went down a treat at darts tonight - a total sell out. I had three people ask me for the recipe so they must have been special! Hehe. Very pleased about that..

After I had made the cakes - I let them cool before I iced them - and used that time to make my boyfriends Valentine's card, 'cause it wasn't going to make itself. I didn't know where to start with it all - hes such a man that I didn't want to use and fuzzy wuzzy images of hearts etc..

So this is what I came up with in the end..

Yummy reds and blacks and only a tiny tiny little image of a heart from Meljen's Designs, and no, its not pink, its red, trust me. It would be more than my life's worth if I put pink on Tonys card, I would never hear the end of it.

I decided to add one of the very rare (decent) photos of us on the front to personalise it just that bit more. My gosh, it took me aaaaages to make my printer co-operate with the 4x6" photo paper I have. I nearly gave up in the end but it must have sensed I was annoyed so he worked for me. :)

I love this sentiment - me and Tony are always thinking up sweet things to say to each other, and this will be a new one for both of us. Result! :) The heart on the end I just added from Character Map on my computer as I didn't have a heart punch that small. I love this font too - I need to use it more often when I'm printing sentiments.

Scrumptious red bakers twine (I can't seem to get enough of the stuff lately!!) and a gorgeous key charm - both from The Ribbon Girl. I added some hand stitching around the panels of my card - just for an added extra, not that the Mr. will appriciate it. But hey, I know you lovely people who are reading this blog post will.

Lastly, there is a picture of the inside - before I add all of my own soppy stuff. I kept it pretty simple so I have room to write, and the sentiment relates to the key charm quite nicely. I'm a bit softy at heart, I know! *blush*

I would like to enter this card into these challenges: *deep breath - there is a long list*
× Card Patterns - Sketch 100
× Delightful Challenges - Have A Heart

Thats all I have to show you tonight - so thanks for stopping by. The plan before bed time is to get my clothes etc sorted for tomorrow, pack my bag, do a slice of number crunching on Excel (I plan on chipping away at my dissertation results day after day so my brain doesn't explode with numbers spraying everywhere) and a few chapters of my book. Bearing in mind I have to be up at 7 I best make all that quick march!! :)

Have a good day tomorrow! Please stop by to check out my WOYWW at some point during the day, I'm going to take a few photos of my storage around my desk at the minute - with my limited space I might give you some ideas.

xo
