Oh Chester - You're So Sweet!!

If you're here for my Sassy Inspiration post click HERE.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but Chester is the cutest Monkey around, right? I was up til the early hours of the morning making this card and colouring this little corker from Pollycraft, because that's how I like to roll. I followed a sketch made by my friend over on the Trimcraft forum - here it is..

http://www.trimcraft.co.uk/projectinfo.php?pid=96769

And here is my take on it..

I used a Kraft cardbase - obviously ;) and a new paper pack (for me) from My Minds Eye. I know, I know.. I hear ya.. what happened to your resolutions Lou?! Well, I thought I would treat myself, 1) for finishing up my dissertation with two days to spare and 2) because I think I've done exceptionally well with my resolutions! *big grin* Don't hate on me!! LOL.

Ahhhh, I <3 him, totally. He is one of a set of eight released by Pollycraft, I, of course, got all eight! This is the first chance I've had to ink one of them up. I coloured him using ProMarkers and fussy cut him out - but you know that right? I do it every time I make a card!! LOL.

The solid cardstock and ribbon is from SU! - if someone could tell me what colour it is I would be eternally greatful! LOL. Is it Baja Breeze? I'm not sure. All I know is, I can't find this ribbon ANYWHERE, it isn't in the SU! 2010-2011 catalogue anymore *boo*

I added a strip of corrugated cardboard along the bottom of the card - but the ribbon and stuff kinda hides it all.

I distressed all the edges of the paper with my Tonic paper distresser and stitched a scalloped border down one side. My sentiment is from a Waltzingmouse set - which I have stamped in Blue Bayou onto Kraft cardstock which I have distressed using Frayed Burlap DI. All of the little gems are from Prima and match the colours perfectly.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× 2 Sisters - Distressing
× Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
× Joyful Stamper - Anything Goes
× Stamp Something - Use a Digi
× Totally Papercrafts - A Recipe
× Wags 'n Whiskers - Use a Die or a Punch

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
