Special 13th

Hey readers, thanks for stopping by today. I've something to share with you that I hope'll make up for my slacking in the SomeOddGirl department last week for the new Nouveau Challenge. :) P.S There's still time to enter so get going!!

I have a commission to share with ya. A lady wanted me to make a 'special' 13th birthday card for her daughter, she wanted me to include her name and make the image I used look a little like her. So here's what I came up with.

Although this is only a small card (as big as the biggest big scalloped circle nestie [approx 4"]) there is a lot going on. I used Kraft as my card base then added a layer of So Saffron cardstock from SU! a top of gorgeous teal/ turquoise/ duck egg coloured feather (feathers scream special to me). I then added doodles and a layer of gorgeous paper from Hello Sunshine - American Crafts which I have outlined with some Sakura glitter pen. Boy, I've nearly used this whole collection - I've been going crazy for it. That's what it's there for though, right? Beautiful, happy colours

As for the image, I of course had to use one of the gorgeous Nouveau Girls from SOG latest release, get yours HERE. You don't wanna miss out. These beauties are fab for colouring practice, plus they look awesome when you finish them ;) I have fussy cut Believe out and adhered her to the card using dimensionals.

The card has a little removable tag, which houses some more sentiment.. plus the birthday girls age. I added some lime green bakers twine through the reinforcer for some added interest. Can you please take a second to check out that tag?! The design on that is deeelicious! I think I need me another of these AC sets to make some sort of album so I can keep the lot! LOL.

I had a blast creating this card and matching envelope, I hope mother and daugther likes it as much as me.
