Pollycraft Challenge #111

Hey Pollycrafters!! It's Monday again. Where DO those weekends disappear to?! Sorry this card is going up so late. I had it all planned that once I finished work last night I would colour an image to match the papers I had in mind and photograph the card all before 8PM. Things never work out the way you want them to though, do they? I sat down to colour the cute

Luna Bitterfrost - Robots Rock..

but of course when I had printed her out I had placed her next to some other Lunas that I hadn't had a chance to colour up yet, including Skulls Rock and Stars Rock.. all of which can be found over at the Pollycraft Shop.

So. Needless to say I got a little carried away and coloured more than one image, which ate into the time I had left to make a card. So there you have it guys. I'm just a crazy fool with a lot a LOT of love for Paulas images. I just couldn't stop at one last night! LOL.

So.. Onto this weeks challenge which has been chosen by our gorgeous Anita.

SWIRLS AND PEARLS

Check out the challenge post over on the blog - there is some AWESOME inspiration as always!! I couldn't have thought of all those ways to incorporate those two elements into a card myself. Good job we've such a brilliant and innovative team for ya!

Here is my take on the challenge..

I have used the oh so gorgeous papers from MME Oh La La for Her collection. Can't get enough of them lately. I don't know if MME still make them anymore.. but like I always say.. I like new stash better than horded stash - so I best get it used up!!

I have coloured Luna using ProMarkers and Copics and fussy cut her out. The layout of the card is relatively simple. I have used a Sizzix die to create the 'swirls' which I have cut from patterned paper from the same collection. My 'pearls' are white opal liquid pearls which I have added to the labels fourteen die cut behind Luna. The ticket sentiments were created using a die and stamp set from Whimsy Stamps and the mandatory doodles were added to the edges. No distressing this time as I wanted to keep the card 'clean'.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Corrosive Challenge - Punches and/ or Dies
× The Squirrel and the Fox - Anything Goes

I hope you can join us this week and show us what you've got. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to add your creations and become inspired no end by our team!!

I'm off to work at 2PM - so I've gotta find a bite to eat before then. So much for having a lie in this morning! :( I think my body has lost the knack to achieve such a thing. I'll be back tomorrow with some SOG goodness using the same paper collection, because like I told you guys, I can't get enough.

Enjoy your day whatever you're doing.
