Some Odd Girl Challenge - ::*Stitch It Up*::

Hey ODD girls. How's your week been? I managed to get this card finished up last Thursday when I had my days off work. I had a lot of fun making this. There used to be a time when I used me sewing machine and my little Sew Easy on every card I made, but you know how you get bored of some fads. Well I think it's safe to say this has made me realise what I'm missing out on.

This week at Some Odd Girl Challenges we want to see you

STITCH IT UP

This could be machine stitching, hand stitching, heck.. why not a touch of faux stitching.. or all three if you really fancy. I can't wait to see what you come up with. If you're stuck for inspiration head on over to the challenge blog now. There is no shortage of the stuff from the ODD girlies this week!

I used the gorgeous Garden Mae for my card. I've had her for forEVER but this is the first time I've coloured her up. I am naughty aren't I? Isn't she gorgeous? I love her bandana and her little basket of veg and gardening gloves. :)

I have coloured her hair and skin using Copics ;) and the rest of her has been coloured using ProMarkers. I have fussy cut her out and adhered her to the card using dimensionals.

The base of the card is Kraft, obviously.. and the layout is a little more complicated than usual with lots of layers.. well.. lots for me. I've used a die cut vellum doily and threaded some very light yellow, almost cream embroidery floss from WRMK. My patterned papers are from Echo Park Vicrotia Garden collection and the sentiment is part of a set from Raindrop Echo Designs.

Here is an arty shot of my stitching. I have created two lines of zig zag stitching on the bottom panel of patterned paper, a little cross stitch on my sentiment panel and 'in and outy' stitching through the edges of my doily. :) Hope that's enough stitching ideas for ya.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Crafts and Me - Buttons and Bows
× Creative Belli - Acetate or Vellum
× Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
× Ladybug Crafts - Anything Goes
× Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
