FOCUS on what matters.

Afternoon guys, apologies for my later than usual post for My Mum's Craft Shop. Time totally ran away with me last night, and before I knew it *BAM* it was half 10 and I wasn't even half ready for bed time!!

A super quick post this afternoon as I have a heap of stuffs to be catching up with at home.

Today I decided to use a new stamp set from MFT.

Absolutely love this set and I can see me using it LOTS!

I masked a large circle to the centre top of the card and used
Memento Pear Tart
Memento Tangelo
ink pads.

I cannot recommend those Hybrid ink pads from MFT enough. They're a dream to work with, and you can use them with your alcohol pens, so you know I'll be purchasing the black once my Memento runs low. It's always good to switch things up a little once in a while.

For the rest of the card, I simply matted the stamped piece onto an orange piece of cardstock and layered them onto my card base. Job done.

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to visit the BLOG for daily inspiration and pop by the STORE for all of these new goodies..

Classic Combo

Morning guys! :) Happy Hump Daaaaay!! These weeks are flying by, are they not?! Still can't quite believe it's April! Madness!!

So it's time for some more inspiration for My Mum's Craft Shop.

I wanted to keep this card clean, classic and simple.

Black, white and KRAFT

I used a couple goodies from My Mum's Craft Shop

I added some wide organza ribbon and a little button threaded with some natural twine.

Embossed the black cardstock with a quilted embossing folder from Xcut.

Job done. LOVEEE!! :)

That's all from me today. Thank you for stopping by. xo

Hello, it's a SKETCH!!

Welcome guys! :) It's time for another Passion for ProMarkers challenge, and this time we've a sketch to play with - whipped up by our one and only Lou!

Here's the sketch she's created for us to work with.

I love it! There are so many possibilities. You can choose to leave it CAS or really go to town with embellishments. I went somewhere in between.

I printed my Wryn - Spring Bling image from Tiddly Inks a little larger at almost 4.5", so that ended up taking up the majority of the card - but I had a blast colouring her. In fact, most of this image was coloured while I was camped out in the car waiting for my Mother's in the doctors. I never go anywhere without something to occupy my hands or brain..

Onwards.

I used a slice of waaay old paper from Echo Park for my green polka dots, then created an embossed panel for the top of my card using a Die'sire embossing folder called WISH. I've wanted to get my hands on this for AGES, but wasn't entirely convinced a 6x6" folder would go through my little ol' Cuttlebug.

I was wrong. It fit like a glove!! WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!

I added some Desert Sand Fireworks to the embossed portion and adhered them to my card base.

For the main panel, I matted Wryn onto a scalloped circle - another sheet of waaay old Echo Park from the same pack. I then thought I'd try and use up some of the bulging stash of paper flowers I seem to have acquired over the years. I picked out some peach pretties and attached them to the card using some rescused (from the bottom of a drawer, going to waste) brads.

Ohhh boy, am I using it up! :D Go mee!! Go mee!!

I thought the card needed a little button, so I picked this aqua one from my stash and attached it to the card using some natural twine from The Ribbon Girl (of which I have about 50cm left - told ya I was doing well) - and then went to town with some Cantaloupe and Bisque Liquid Pearls.

Jobs a good'n.

Not 100% sure what happened to my photo - it looks a little washed out, the colours are more vibrant in real life. Perhaps my camera was having an off day. Yeah, an off day. My camera. We'll blame him. I like that!!

That's all from me today. Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Passion for ProMarkers BLOG and join in this week!! Who doesn't love a SKETCH, right? xo

Cosmic Shimmer

So a while back now, I decided to give Cosmic Shimmer Mica Pigments a go..

For those of you interested, I bought the Spray Set 13- Garden Floral. The Golden Malachite had my heart from the moment I set my eyes on it!

I decided to keep the designs pretty simple. I used a couple stamps from Paper Smooches Botanicals 2 and a Lawn Fawn Mother's Day sentiment.

I stamped the pretty leaves and flowers in Versamark and went over the wet ink with the colour of my choice using the little brush that comes in the set. I then set the whole design with a couple mists of water before stamping my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

All a learning curve for me, but I definitely enjoyed my first attempt!

The photos do the shimmer absolutely NO justice - it's something that's gotta be seen IRL!

Fun. :)

First Mother's Day..

Okay. Okay.

You'll be OVERJOYED to discover the Mother's Day creations are drawing to an end.

I promise.

This was a commissioned card from one of my lovely regulars. It was her sisters first Mother's Day with her new baby, so she was after something to celebrate that. She wanted pink and girly and as soon as my Rachelle Anne Miller CD dropped through my door I knew these images would be perfect!!

I picked out the cute little bunnies, printed them a few times and layered them up. I then used some new My Minds Eye papers to jazz the card up along side my white embossed panel which I had spritzed with some Rose Bud Fireworks.

Lastly I added the very personalised sentiment using some Lawn Fawn alpha stamps, added a large pink bow and a sprinkling of Dew Drops and Liquid Pearls. Very cute, even if I do say so myself! :)

You're a Lifesaver

Happy Hump Day!!

I'm back with some more inspiration using products from My Mum's Craft Shop today!! :)

Sit back and enjoy this incredibly short blog post!

So I used some Neenah Solar White cardstock.
A bunch of inks - Memento Dew Drops and Versafine
.. and THIS awesome Wicked Nauticool stamp set from Paper Smooches,

I mean.. come on?! Cool no?!

I did challenge myself to use no patterned paper, but I couldn't help myself.. and these Paper Smooches sets lend them so well to paper piecing. I used an older My Minds Eye set with loads of scraps left.

Be sure to stop by the blog each day for more inspiration! :) xo

Nanna, on Mother's Day

Morning guys! :) Let's make this another quick one.

I made a card similar to this last year with a big 'MUM' as the focus. This time round I adapted, and used a bolder colour palette.

I cut NANNA on my Cameo and added an outline. I used Lawn Fawn stamps to create the rest of the sentiment and a Paper Smooches banner which I fussy cut myself.

As for embellishments, I brought out my Papermania paper flowers, some Hobby House buttons and some gorgeous lilac ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. I finished off the card with a sprinkling of Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

Lovely jubly. :)

Mother's Wreath

Well, it's a sad, sad story - but alas.. a fortnight has passed since Mother's Day.. and I'm still filling your eyes with Mother's Day creations. I'm so sorry! Only a few more to go though.. LOL! Maybe I shoulda started posting them a little earlier - my bad. I shall take this into consideration for next year.. promise!!

This was a card I designed for the boys Mother on Mother's Day. A gorgeous wreath with squiggly flowers, cut on my Cameo of course! ;) I embossed the white background with a quilted pattern, added a sentiment using Clearly Besotted and Paper Smooches stamps and voila. Done! :)

I hope you guys don't get sick of all the pink and froofroo, I know it's not really what my blog is known for.. LOL!! So onwards..

I still have a few designs to share with you all. This being the first.

Cake. Pink. Froofroo!! I had a blast colouring up that cake - (IF ANYONE KNOWS WHO MAKES THAT STAMP PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I have no packaging for it!)

I went a little crazy with my Fireworks! Added a bunch of buttons and liquid pearls and all the usual goodness!!

That's all I got today.. but I'll be back! xo

Tenderhearted

Yoohoo!! Happy Hump Day everyone. :)

I've got a SPRING COLOURS card to share with you all today as part of my inspiration for My Mum's Craft Shop

I used some of my favourite supplies this week.

I used the Tiddly Inks - Fairy Tenderhearted digi, but you can find the clear stamp in the shop.
Avery Elle - Petals and Stems

I then added a fabric flower, a crochet flower, a pink SU! brad, some liquid pearls and that was me! :)

Thank you for stopping by today! xo

Big Dreams

How do? It's time for another challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE these girls? The ProMarker girls, that is.. oh and Mae..  from Some Odd Girl. Love the lot of them. :)

SO SENTIMENTAL

We wanna see your sentiment as the main focus on your card today. If you're needing any inspiration, be sure to make the blog your next stop!

I used Shy Mae from Some Odd Girl for my card today.
I teamed her up with a sentiment from My Favourite Things - Chalkboard Greetings Too.
I only used one sheet of patterned paper from an older My Minds Eye set, a little paper flower, and a sprinkling of gemstones.

Simples. Thank you for stopping by. xo

On your first day..

Morning guys. :)

Time to kick off the week with this very special creation.

Earlier in the year I was approached by a lovely lady with a special request. She was interested to know whether I had ever made a nursery card before. I hadn't.. but I'm always up for a challenge.

The lady wanted the image to resemble her little girl, with her pink glasses and royal blue uniform. Tiddly Inks came to the rescue with this one! :)

I teamed the image up with some delicious My Minds Eye papers (kinda waste my time telling you what paper it is.. it is always MME!)

I added a very personalised sentiment using some Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps, and cut them into little strips using my trimmer. I then added a huge pink bow (another request) and some Wild Orchid Craft goodness.

Wildflowers

It's the weeeeeekend!! What are your plans?

Not 100% sure what I'm up to, but it'll most probably involve food with the boy and perhaps the pictures if there is anything decent showing! I gotta get me some new cycling get up from somewhere too.. LOL! Watch what I end up with.. goodness.

Anywho. It's time for another Mother's Day card installment! Hah.

This time I used a combo of My Favorite Things.

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple, adding a die cut Kraft circle, a doily and a slice of lovely paper from a My Minds Eye pack. As a few finishing touches with a little resin daisy from My Mum's Craft Shop and a little Make It Crafty chipboard dragonfly! :)

Happy Saturday. xo

Woodgrain Love

Hey guys! It's Wednesday.. again!
I've had a very dramatic weekend, so I was pleased that I had a few cards already made that I had stock piled on my week off work.

Friday night I fell off my push bike.. I stupidly wasn't wearing a helmet. So instead of just letting my skull flop to the tarmac.. I stuck my elbow out. A swift trip to A+E it was confirmed that it was just terrible bruising. Some strong Iburprogen, and a bag of frozen peas later.. I think I'm back on track.

I learnt from my mistake, and went out the next day to buy a new helmet and hi-viz. Job done. :) Trouble is, I always gotta learn the hard way!!

I DIGRESS!! It's free week over at My Mum's Craft Shop this week. So I thought I'd take advantage and whip up a CAS card using some of my favourites.

I took HUGE inspiration from THIS card that was posted on the Neat & Tangled blog. Loveeeee this. Straight away I knew I wanted to try this out with a woodgrain pattern.

My Favorite Things - Western Backgrounds
Avery Elle - Petals and Stems dies

I added a sprinkling of rhinestones and sequins from my stash. Job done! Can't wait to try this technique out a little more.

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop blog each day for inspiration from the awesome sauce design team! That's all from me for today. xo

Baby Boys

Morning guys. :)

It's April.

I'll let that sink in for a second.

Yip. APRIL! A nip and a punch for the first of the month!!

The first of the month means it's time for A BRAND NEW CHALLENGE AT MY MUM'S CRAFT SHOP.

The theme this month is ANYTHING GOES! Easy peasy. :)

I just had to break out another Hobby House topper. Love these little guys! :)

I paired him up with some older My Mind Eyes papers (had trouble matching him with stuff).. and went CRAY-ZEE with the embellishments. I added die cut stars, organza ribbon, button brads, buttons, sequins, Stickles.. you name it, it's probably on there!!

I cut the '1 today' using my Cameo. I recently discovered the offset tool and I'm in love with it. I went a little crazy and created the sentiment with three layers! Hah! :) I added the rest of the sentiment using my Lawn Fawn alpha stamps! :)

I never thought I'd get this card completed, the purple-y hue in his baby grow totally threw me off, but with some patience, some stash shopping and the littlest sprinkling of lilac embellishments and I was happy!

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop BLOG and join in with your ANYTHING GOES challenge this month! xo
