Lexi's Creations Challenge #36 - RIBBON

Hey all, thank you to everyone who joined in with our 'Easter' challenge - it was great seeing all of the cute bunnies and chicks! :)

This fortnight over at Lexi's Creations the challenge is: INCLUDE RIBBON ON YOUR CARD, BUT NOT IN A KNOT OR BOW!! Endless possibilites if you set your mind to it. I promise! :) Take a look over on Lexi's Challenge blog to get inspired by our fab DT creations!

The sponsor this week is: Whiff of Joy Stamps

Whiff of Joy Stamps

Here is my card - really quick and easy to put together. I have used Lexi's 'Happy Birthday' sentiment and repeated it across the page to make my own background paper.

The main focal point is the stripes of brown, cream and blue ribbon inside the centre panel. The blue square was cut using my Slice machine, I have been neglecting him lately, but I thought I would dust him down and cut out thise gorgeous postage stamp shaped square to frame the ribbon.

I added a few vellum butterflies, punches with my MS punch. I added some Cinnamon Stickles to each, as well as around the outside of my distressed edges. All cardstock used is from SU! The ribbon is from a pack of 6 by Papermania called Cappuccino Floral. I've had it for forever so I'm not sure if it's still available.

I would like to enter this card intho these challenge:
× Birthday Sundaes - Anything Goes

× Gingerloft Challenge - Die Cuts &/Or Punches
