Anywho, enough of that. Thank you to everyone who joined in our 'Happy Birthday' challenge last week - there were some stunning entries! You people never fail to impress! :) I just about managed to keep up with the comments! I hope I managed to get around to you all. The winner from last week was Elke - http://elkescreativecorner.blogspot.com/, if you would get in touch with Donna, she will sort your prize out. Congratulations.
The sponsor for this week is
They will be offering our challenge winner 5 x digital images of their choice or 4 x digital images and 1 x digital paper pack!
Here is the card I came up with..
Meet Rosalie with Roses from C.C Designs. Is she not just the sweetest? The perfect image for a Mother's Day card. I have coloured her using lead pencil and ProMarkers for her bunch of Roses.
I made the music note patterned paper myself using a the Music Note standard roller wheel from SU! as well as some Soft Suede ink from SU! and some DI. I stitched around the edges and rounded the corners - this was the base for the rest of my card. I don't know if I've said before, but sometimes I really struggle to use pink, but I love the colour combo of pink and brown together - I always think it works so well!! :)
I have used Pretty in Pink from SU! for both the ribbon and the embossed cardstock. The spiral flowers are made from organza ribbon - what a faff they were to make - they just wouldn't stick. But I think the time I took trying to get them to work really paid off as they add a lot to the main panel of the card.
Being from the north east of England, I call my Mam, Mam - not Mum, and I don't know about you, but I HATE that shop cards do not have much variety at all when it comes to greeting and phrases. Que my Cosmo Cricket mini alpha stickers. Three little letters M A M and the sentiment is complete! :) I hope she likes it as much as I do!
