Lil' Lad Eric Bookmark

Ahhhhh!! I couldn't believe it when I got my hands on the new release by TPS - Lil' Lad Collection. Like wow!! I LOVE them, especially the guy in this post.. Lil' Lad Eric.

I have incorporated two TPS challenges into one with this bookmark. Over on the Facebook group there is a Bookmark challenge with a $25 Tickled Pink Voucher up for grabs. Over on the Challenge Blog there is a challenges called 'Off the Scrap Desk' the idea is to embellish your card (or in this case, bookmark) with items not intended for cardmaking.

Here is Eric, the little cutie.

Isn't he just the cutest nerd you ever did see? I have used some Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy patterned paper as well as some cardstock from SU!. A tab punch and star punch from SU! have been used to create some extra elements on the card.

For the 'Off the Scrap Desk' challenge I have used corrugated cardboard, a paperclip and a Metro ticket which I have distressed using Old Paper and Tea Dye DI.

The sentiment is from an October Afternoon stamp set - it has been embossed in white. PTI - Star Prints stamp set has been used to add some interest to the punched stars. I have used Fiskars - Apron Lace border punch along the bottom of the bookmark. Some faux stitching finishes off the 'corner' part of the corner bookmark. I'm all out of thread for my sewing machine otherwise I would have machine stitched it!

Here is a close up of Eric. I have coloured him using ProMarkers. I don't know if its the way I take my photos, or what, but the shading on my skin never shows up as much as it should. Anywho. I have been sticking at practicing my colouring with my PM's.. hmm, I'm improving, but still have a long way to go!! LOL.

While I had my printer on I printed out a few more Erics and set about colouring them for projects later on down the line.

I still stick to what I said a few weeks ago about black and white images. They're great - you can colour them ahead of time and not have to worry about finding matching patterned paper later on down the line! FAB time saver, and it's really fun to do! Don't ask why the poor boy hasn't got feet, I cut them off as I couldn't decide which to use on my bookmark! What am I like?!

Thanks for stopping by today, I may be back later with another post - I'll see how things pan out today. The weather is glorious here, the sun is shining but its not overly hot! I'm off out for dinner with Mother Goose. Then I'm heading over to my boyfriends for the night. We're going to have a movie night! :)

Enjoy your day, whatever you're doing! xo
