Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #23 - Texture

Hey pink ladies!! How has your week been so far? It's time for another challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps - can you believe it?! This week we want to see creations with..

TEXTURE

Take that how you wish, it could be anything from embossing and distressing to ribbons and lace. I can't wait to see everyones interpretations of this weeks challenge. Take a look at the TPS Challenge Blog and see what the other members of this awesome team have come up with!!

Here is my take on the challenge..

I have used the awesome-ly cool Lil' Lad Eric, I think he will remain a firm fave of mine. I have coloured him using ProMarkers - isn't his red hair cute?! I think it makes him look soo innocent. I have matched him with some papers from Cosmo Cricket Social Club collection. The kraft tag which I got in a pack of 20 aaaages ago from WHSmith which I need to use up has been embossed with a houndstooth embossing folder.

I have stamped the cardbase with the ledger stamp from Hero Arts in Blue Bayou ink from SU! I have distressed and torn the edges of my base patterned paper to add some extra texture. I have distressed the die cut which Eric in upon and added some baby blue liquid pearls. Lastly, I've added some.. ribbon?! I don't know what you call that stuff?! around the banner I've created from the same patterned paper collection.

I decided to leave this card without a sentiment so I can write whatever I need to inside when the time comes. There are so many possibilities though, and I love these images as they make those male cards sooo easy! Eric, you're AWESOME!

This is the last card I've made using my sewing machine. Mr Janome is broken!! I'm gutted. Going to try and get it sorted though as I'm having withdrawls. He just won't pick up the thread off the bobbin. I honestly don't know what's going on!? Plus.. I've misplaced the manual, which never helps matters.. Anywho..

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Delicious Doodles - Texture
× Fussy and Fancy - Card for a Man or Boy
× Stamp Something - Use a Digi
× The Stamp Man - Boys and Men
× Aud Sentiments - A sentiment/ card for a male

Thanks for stopping by today! xo Lou.

  3. the 'ribbon' is called loopy trim on our shop site and the one at the top is blueberry blue divine twine and just some info about your Janome sewing machine in case it helps you - Andrea killed off 3 machines in about 15 years - last one I bought her for Christmas the lady in John Lewis (Bainbridges to you and me) said that you should only ever use Janome spare plastic bobbins - we have always used those big packs with loads of bobbins in from J L, but apparently the machine doesn't like them - so please check that you are using the real, genuine accessories otherwise you could seriously damage your machine.
