Well I survived my first long shift at work yesterday!! I was on and off the tills all day and I think I have eventually got the hang of it. No sweat! :) I've got LOADS of shifts the next few weeks - I had no idea I would be working that much but I ain't gonna complain! :) Think of the monies as I keep getting told.
Before I get to the nitty gritty I just want to say a huge thank you to those of you who have left me feedback re: photos of my projects and the layout of my posts. I also appriciate the comments about my supplies lists which I try to include with every project. I pride myself on the apperance and design of my blog - I aim to make it as user friendly as possible, with as much info as I can, and it seems like it's pleasing many of you! So I'll keep up the standards! :) Thank you.

So..
On to today's challenge over at Sentimental Sundays!!
This week we want to see
FLOWERS
Easy, peasy - yes? :)
I decided to make a couplea bookmarks - all goes towards my stock for the craft fayre on the 13th!! I'm getting a little excited about that whole deal now. I'll let you all know how it goes and try and get a few photos!! :) Ohhh!! That reminds me - I MUST get some business cards ordered on Monday!! REMIND ME SOMEONE!!
These could be used as a set or separately - I've used the same paper pads and general design on both. Bazzill Kraft cardbase and some gorgeous blue cardstock from Papercuts for the border along the bottom edge.
For the first bookmark I have used a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs - Graduation Sentiments. I have die cut it using a Labels Four nestie and added some WOC goodness around about.
Here is a close up of the sentiment. I have distressed and doodled all edges - but you already knew that, right? It's just standard these days. I wonder when this will wear off?! LOL!! Not any time soon I can tell ya that! ;)
Here is my second card using a digi image which can be found HERE. Kim Sherrod is having a fund raiser - if you would like to help her by buying some of these adorable silhouette images, check this post HERE for details.
Kim Sherrod is having a fundraiser for her dear friend whose son was admitted to the hospital for heart problems. Kim is trying to raise money for her friend to be able to see her son, but it's not going well. Her friend is struggling financially and can't afford to make the trip. To help with the fundraiser, she contacted me Ann Vento who designed some stamp sets that are going to be sold as digital stamps, but will also be available as clear stamps for those who prefer it.
Here is a close up of the image. I have changed the colour in MS Word 2007 and cut it out using a big scalloped circle nestie. I have once again added some WOC flowers and distressed and doodled all edges.
I would like to enter these bookmarks into some challenges:
× Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
× Mami Doodles - Flowers
× Raise the Bar - Anything Goes
× Stamp Something - Use a Digi
Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill- Kraft; Papecuts - Blue
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket - Upcycle, Social Club
Stamps/Digi: Raindrop Echo Designs - Graduation Sentiments
Ink: DI - Frayed Burlap
Dies: Nesties - Fancy Tags, Big Scallop Circles, Labels Four; Fleur de Lis Borderabilities
Embellishments: WOC - 2tone pale blue sweetheart blossoms, 10mm aqua roses, 10mm 2tone antique blue rose, 8mm white semi open rose
Misc: brown fineliner
Take it easy! I'm at work 12-4 today.. a 4 hour shift doesn't seem like a lot after todays mammoth schedule! :) I hope to get a spot of crafting in before and after - if my hands aren't cut up too much!! Yuck. Who knew cardboard could cause so much damage?! I've had to cut my nails and everything. The sacrifices! LOL! Why couldn't I just get a job in a little craft shop! Heehee.
Sweet bookmarks!!
