Tickled Pink Stamp Challenges #31 - Use a Feather

Can I just ask you to do me a favour and leave me a comment re: my pictures. Too many? Not enough? Too big? Let me know - I'm not sure if I'm overloading you all with too much on each post!!

Woah, my third post of the day. I promise this will be the last - for today anyway! LOL. Thursdays are gonna be pretty busy days on my blog from now on though - so be sure you can keep up! ;)

Good afternoon!! Another new challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps!! Can I get a Hurraahhh!! This time round it's a little unusual (well I think it's unusual).. we want to see you..

USE A FEATHER

HA! I wish you could have seen the conversations going on behind the scenes!! Sandie was all up for plucking chickens at one point! ;) My local craft shop, Papercuts, saved my skin this time round. I bought some delicious beige (kraft *cough*) coloured feathers for one whole great british pound. I KNOW!!

Ahhh!! I love this card - reminds me of lazy summer days down by the quayside or the harbour!! Very little patterned paper on this card you might be surprised to see but I wanted all eyes on Audrey! ;) Both slices of paper are from MME Lime Twist collection. I have cut them at random measures and distressed the edges using Frayed Burlap and added my.. what would you call them? hallmark doodles?!

Here is a close up of the little cutie!! Like I said.. tell me if this is a little photo heavy.. I mean you can see her pretty well in the first one, right? Anywho. New colour combo for her hair, I used it on last weeks card too but Bobbi has curly hair so it ain't really the same. Sorta comes across as a dirty blonde. I think I like it! :) She has blue toe nails too <3

I wear my hair like this most of the time when it's down, although mine is a little longer than hers. Her little green clip is just ca-yoot!! Right? I love the expression on her face too. Whistling away to herself, I hope it's not a catch choon! This is the first time I've coloured this cutie up - don't know why I waited so long?!

I have added a sponged sky background using Bashful Blue ink from SU! and distressed and edged this piece of cardstock too.

Here I've used some delicious WOC goodness. The biggest rose(?!) is from my lovely friend Elaine and the other three are 10mm roses from my stash. I have tucked the feather between the flowers and the sentiment. It's such a subtle colour that I don't think you really notice it at first. It's oh so pretty though. I have used some on some Christmas cards too - they're the perfect embellishment for that little something different.

I hadn't even had a feather in my possession before this challenge and now I'm loving them. I've ordered some aqua coloured ones off of eBay - because I'm sorta on an aqua/ turquoise kick right now - they arrived the other day and they're just oh so luxurious. Dead fluffy and just pretty! I'll get some on a card soon for ya! :)

This adorable sentiment is from LOTV - I'm brand new to these and this is the first time I've used this. I'm really liking them though - there are so many combos to suit loadsa different cards and occasions.. and they're the perfect size to 1) cut with a nestie and 2) tuck behind images on the sizes of cards I make. Result! ;)

I have added some baby blue liquid pearls to the four corners of my card - I've made the spots a little bigger than usual and I like the result, they just take a little longer to dry but I can cope with that!

Here is a little peak at the inside of the card. I have used another bit of the blue cardstock and used a MS border punch to create some grass along the bottom edge. I also stamped the 'Enjoy yourself' sentiment from LOTV in Sage Shadow SU! ink.

Her hair is delightful & I love the colours you've used. Those clouds are great too. You have your own individual style of posting. I don't find there are too many pictures - I like the way your post is integrated but at the same time it is simple to just go down your Supplies list to see what you've used.
