Pollycraft Challenge #104 - *//Sketch\\*

Ohhh, it's time for another challenge at Pollycraft today. Can I hear a YIPPEEE?!

Wanna know why I'm so excited?! Because it's A SKETCH CHALLENGE

Here it is.. designed by our very own Paula.

Now.. the lucky winner will recieve TEN DIGIS FROM POLLYCRAFT!! I think thank deserves another YIPPEE!! ;) What more motivation do you need to join in?!

Here is a little inspiration for ya from me. I never make square cards.. well okay, maybe a few on the odd occasion. But my main size is 5.5"x4.25" which is classed as C6, I think. So sometimes when looking for sketches around blogland I've gotta adjust them from a square layout to a layout more suited to a rectangle shaped card. Get it?

I have stamped the card base using a cute little cloud stamp from an October Afternoon set in Crumb Cake ink from SU! and distressed the edges using Frayed Burlap DI. I have cut two of the largest labels four nesties from Cosmo Crickey Upcycle collection and adhered them straight to the cardbase - the polka dot pattern showing more so than the green stripe. I edged both die cuts with Frayed Burlap DI and brown doodles.

This is the sweet little Swings and Slides - Nice Weather For Ducks. I have coloured her hair and face using Copics and the rest of the image using ProMarkers. I gotta work on making my whites white.. LOL.. It doesn't even look like I coloured her rain coat, but I did. Honest.

I have cut the image out using a circles nestie - inkeeping with the sketch. Of course you don't have to make it a perfect circle. I have cut three banners from patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket Upcycle collection using some more nesties and stamped a sentiment from PTI in Frayed Burlap DI. Some green twill stripe ribbon from The Ribbon Girl finished the sketch off nicely.

Lastly I added some WOC flowers, naturally. I've been trying different types of glue with these lately. I know a lot of people use a hot glue gun on these, but I had baaad experiences at school with those things so I tend to stick to wet adhesive. So far I've tried Tombow Mono Multi and Anitas PVA - both have their advantages. Anitas seems to hold stronger but takes much longer to dry than the Tombo. I'll soon find out which I like best if my cards start falling to pieces! LOL. What do you use to attatch 3D embellishments?

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Creative Card Crew - Animal Antics
× Passion for ProMarkers - #110 Animal Crackers
× Sew Many - Anything Goes

Don't forget to head on over to the Pollycraft Monday Challenge Blog and see the teamies interpretation of this awesome sketch!! They never EVER fail to impress me each and every week. Working with them has been a BLAST and I cannot wait for more to come!

  11. Love the colours of this. I tend to use Glossy Accents for sticking any embellishments as I tried various others but always ended up with feeble bonds - with Glossy Accents it will stick most (if not all) things.
