Lexi's Creations - Challenge #37 - Monochrome!

Thanks for popping over today. I have a card to share with you for Lexi's Creations MONOCHROME challenge this fortnight.

Firstly, let me thank everyone who joined in with our Ribbon challenge - it was really interesting seeing the different uses for ribbon aside from the standard bow or knot!
The winner: #37 Vixykins
The GDS: #79 Lena Katrine

We want to see your MONOCHROME creations this fornight.

THE PRIZE

Letraset

http://www.letraset.com/

The lucky winner will win a pack of 5 ProMarkers

Here is my DT take on the challenge:

I have gone with a brown theme. I like all the shades used. From milk chocolate brown (the card base) to dark chocolate brown (the button).. LOL! Notice how everything is related to food over here?! Heehee. I have used papers from a DCWV pack I have had forever, called Rockstar. I don't know why I have overlooked these gorgeous papers for so long?!

I have added some hand stitching to the top of the card. The pattern was made using my WRMK - Sew Easy tool - the scallop head, obviously! LOL. I have threaded the top scallop with buttermilk embroidery floss and the bottom scallop with brown bakers twine. I'm not too sure how well it has shown up in the photo - but you can really see the twists of brown and white - you should try it. It's a really neat effect!!

I have used Biker Chic Chloe which can be found over on Fairy Dust Crafts, along with all of Lexi's other gorgeous digis. I love her curly hair and buckled boots. Very trendy! I have cut the image using a labels 14 nestie, and gone around the outside with some 7Gypsies stamps in SU! Crumb Cake ink.

These letter stickers are from Cosmo Cricket - and I've said it before, but I'll say it again, these are thee perfect size for cards! I have used the Whimsy Stamps Friendship Tickets set to create my sentiment and the co-ordinating die to cut them out.

Some yummy Prima flowers have been used to embellish the corner. I used my Imaginisce i-top i-Top tool to make a brad using matching paper and I added some stickles.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Creative Inspirations Challenge - Mother's Day
× I Did It Creations - Anything Goes
× Bugaboo Stamps - Anything Goes
× Bling it on Challenges - A Digi and some Bling

Why not pop on over to Lexi's Creations blog now and see what the rest of the talented DT have come up with. Why not join in, we would love to see what you come up with! :)
