Pollycraft Challenge #102 - *//Summer Fun\\*

Hey Pollycraft Fans!! How has your weekend been?! I'm glad to say mine has been full of CRAFT! I have loved every minute of it! :) It was a welcome change from the go, go, go of the weekdays last week! I've managed to get ahead with most of my DT creations so I can focus on some more prep for the craft fayre. I need some more boxes to store all of my makes! LOL. Don't tell my boyfriend though, he thinks I have a fetish with boxes.. *rolls eyes* you know how it gets.. when you're a crafter organisation becomes another hobby entirely..

This week over at Pollycraft Challenges.. we want to see some

SUMMER FUN

I don't know about your area, but it has lashed down all weekend here - there have been a few flood alerts around here. The lovely English summer, eh? Hey, I'm not complaining.. roll on autumn I say! :)

I decided to make a little invitation tag.. for a BBQ.. and I just knew I had the perfect image for it!!

BBQ Chester.. this little cutie is available from the Pollycraft Shop

The prize this week is..

TWO PACKS OF MAKE IT CRAFTY CHIPBOARD EMBELLISHMENTS..
Kindly donated from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie

Onto my project..

I used a standard tag - I got mine from WHSmith but they are available pretty much everywhere. I replaced the standard white string with some turquoise bakers twine for a bit of personalisation. I have used patterned papers from MME Hattie collection. Crushed Curry and Soft Suede ink from SU! match this collection perfectly and I have stamped a small sentiment from a PTI set on the tag base in these colours.

I have coloured Chester using PMs and cut him out using a labels fourteen nestie. I have given some dimension to his face and the band of his chefs hat. I seen a brilliant artical in the latest issue of Craft Stamper by Kim Dellow if my memory serves me.. about colouring using dots.. so.. I tried to do that on the sausage.. not 100% sure whether I like it.. perhaps a bit more practice, ay.

I decorated the back of the tag with a few more stamps and some handwriting to create the whole sentiment. I think this is a neat idea for invitations.. as they are small enough to create quickly and if you get a little production line going.. poof.. you will be finished in no time!!

So there you have it, don't forget to head over to the Pollycraft Challenge Blog to see what other amazing inspiration the other ladies have got for ya!! I hope to see you there!

I would like to enter this tag into these challenges:
× Our Daily Bread - Phrase Inspiration
× Messy's Mini Missions - Summer Fun
× Crafty Catz - Tags
× Paper Pretties - Animals
× Crafts and Me - Summertime

Enjoy your day, whatever you get up to!!
