Tickled Pink Stamp Challenges #29 - Spots and Stripes

Before I get started on my Ticked Pink project today, I just want to say a massive THANKYOU to everyone who has given me advice with regards to the craft fayres and the pricing products post HERE. I have taken everything on board, and all I'm going to say is.. I'll get myself prepared to be disheartened!! Ha. I guess my first one was always going to be nerve wracking and it will be a good way to gauge how future fayres are going to go.

So.. onto the fun stuff :)

Afternoon {PINK} Fans.. boy do I have some exciting news to share with you today.. HA! *happy dance* Kellie has asked me if I would like to stay with TPS for the next 6 months. I had to read her email like four times to make sure I had the right end of the stick.. then I thought about it for like 0.62 seconds and responded with a resounding YES OF COURSE! So there you have it.. Lou Mac Tickled {PINK} Designer for the next 6 months. I won't lie.. I done a happy jig in my chair! :D

Onto this weeks challenge which is..

SPOTS AND STRIPES

Ohhhh.. you guys know I've a soft spot for polka dots, so I went all to town with this. I just wish I could have found some of those yummy little polka dot buttons from The Ribbon Girl which I KNOW I own. *rolls eyes* next time perhaps! *scratches head - where ARE they?!*

Head on over to the TPS Challenge Blog to see what other awesome inspiration the {PINK} ladies have got for ya, and make sure you check out the prize to be won this week!!

For my project I had to, had to, use one of my FAVE Pinkettes - Tom Boyz Bug Coraline.. I love her. Sorry if I'm getting boring but these girls just hit the spot for me. They are available from TPS Store.

I used Bazzill Kraft as my card base as usual alongside some GORGE papers from Bo Bunny Gabrielle Collection. Yummmmyyyy!! Blues and teals and browns.. with some pink.. Nice! :) I used both stripey and spotty paper for various elements on my card. I've matted my patterned paper onto some lovely cardstock from Papercuts and distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap DI and added some doodling with a brown fineliner.

I have coloured Coraline with both Copics and ProMarkers. I tried a new combo for her hair.. E15, 18 and 59. Not 100% sure about it but I'll give it a few more goes! :) I have fussy cut her out and placed her on dimensionals above a labels fourteen nestie which I have embossed and distressed again using Frayed Burlap DI and some obligatory doodles. I punched some grass using an MS punch using more stripey paper from the collection and added some punched MS butterflies to the design too.

I have used various WOC flowers [15mm rose - mint and two tone pink; 10mm rose - aqua; semi open 8mm rose - white] alongside some white liquid pearls and some white organza polka dot ribbon from The Ribbon Girl to bring more spots into the design. Lastly, I created my own tag using some linen cardstock - again from Papercuts - and stamped it using a greeting from PTI.
