Tickled Pink Stamp Challenges #28 - Cute + Butterfly

Time for a new challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps this week.. and we have a real girly one for ya..

Cute + Butterfly

As simple as that. ;) When I think of 'cute' I automatically think of Cherrie - so naturally I had to get her coloured up. I used Cherrie with Rose and she is available, as always, from the Tickled Pink Stamps Store. I decided to take a break from cards this week and make a couple of bookmarks. I recently got an order from a lady who had seen a bookmark of mine on my facebook page ~ Cartolinas from Lou Mac ~ and was interested in having a couple the same made. I set to work and made a few minor changes, after all.. my work is meant to by OOAK.

Here is what I came up with..

I used some Bazzill Kraft as my bookmark bases and cut some triangles from Sassafras Indie Girl collection using my Slice to make some bunting which I finished off with some natural twine and some Candy Cane Stickles. I recycled some corrugated cardboard to create a 'fence', which I glimmered up using some Glimmer Mist and added some Chestnut Roan chalk ink on the ridges.

I used my MS border punch to create a two tone grass effect and rolled my own flowers. I added some gems to the centre and punched some leaves using a Woodware punch. At the very bottom of each bookmark is a length of gorgeous pointy lace (that's what I'm calling it) to mirror the bunting. It also adds a bit of texture which can never be a bad thing! :)

Finally I added Cherrie, she has been coloured using Copics and PMs and fussy cut out - knew I couldn't stay away from it for long.. I then took some scraps of blue SU! cardstock and punched some butterflies using another MS punch. I think that just about covers it!!

I can't wait to see which image you guys use this time round!! Everyones interpretation of 'cute' is going to be way different, right? Pop on over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog to see what the other awesome ladies have come up with this week!!

I would like to enter these bookmarks into these challenges:

× KB Challenges - Something Cute
× The Kraft Journal - Something Borrowed or Something Blue (my BLUE butterflies)
